Okay this sounds exciting. I have always considered Steven Zhang a great actor who is underrated actually so can't wait to delve into this money, espionage, twisty, story.
Aaaand How dare you Writers to unite Steven and Liang Jie but not as our OTP....like really (I feel salty, hehe)

The most silly thing ever I have done: I spent the whole 2 ep. looking for Vic Zhou and not realising he is there and his character is the the inmate 5701😀😀😜. When I saw his character, my first thought was oh, he is hot but never did it occur to me that it's the hot Vic Zhou so I was actually peeved thinking that he will come up later.
The joke is on me really.
Talk about the drama so far, I think it's doing a pretty good job. And nope, I don't find it scary at all. It's probably the first Taiwanese drama of this intensity I have watched.

Lol, I can tell, she is not your cup of tea. I actually like her and yes, I still think she is pretty even with that ton of makeup on...afterall how many actresses have we seen without. But as for her acting, I don't like it and I hope someday it gets better.

I'm on ep. 5 now and still no LHY...I wonder how many more ep. before he shows up. I am struggling to love this drama because the setting especially the bullies at work is the cliche old story done over and over again. But my main struggle is connecting with XX's character. I actually don't get the arc of her character. With the story set-up I was expecting to be feeling all kinds of emotions for our heroin including empathy and love but so far, I actually got more annoyed by her behaviour more than anything.
As for the loveline, I don't think there is any between XX and LM because the latter seems to be married with a kid.
Talk of which, Am I the only who thinks they could have tone down the yellow lighting 🤔 Everything looks yellow and it's quite distracting.

Up to ep. 4 and I gotta say, I'm completely surprised that I've stuck around. I'm not a JJY fan (she is very beautiful but I don't like her acting) but I like ZYC hence why I thought of checking this out. So far, I would say, the story intrigues me a bit more. I love the fact that aside from romance we also have a mystery to solve and that's where the appeal is to me. The acting is sort of what I expected but nothing to blow me away. In my opinion JJY is that actress who have a sort of robotic way of acting and there is no really variation in how she express emotions. What I mostly get when she is on screen are angles highlighting how beautiful she is. Well, I get it, she is very very beautiful but then acting is not all about beauty, is it??? Nonetheless, in this drama, it sort of works given the character she is playing so I'm just tolerating it. Well afterall this girl can do anything beautiful. She falls, cries, get scared or angry, sleeps, laughs, yawn beautifully....And no, it's not really a complement.

I'm on ep. 2 so you're actually ahead. LHY has not appeared yet but the boss has. I will give it a few more ep. before I decide which ship I will jump on...hehe
I like the boss's calm, and collected aura he is presenting so now I wait for LHY's character.

I hear you. Me, I'm not a massive fan of LHY but I have seen his drama where he was paired up with ZYT and they had good chemistry so if they are the CP here, their chemistry is a no brainer. On the other hand I wouldn't mind if she ends up with the other guy either.
Did you watch the beginning and ending ep. song because it seems ZYT and LHY are the OTP since there are some sweet moments between them in there?

I'm enjoying how everyone is in a frenzy trying to find out who the FL is gonna end up with....LOL
Me= I don't mind who she ends up with but what I hope will never happen is a Love triangle. Love triangles have a way of jinxing what could be a good story and for whatever reason I don't understand why writers like them so much knowing (or do they?) the impact they have to the quality of the story. I rarely see a love triangle done right so why do it. If I so much as Smell it in this drama, I will drop it like hot potato because that will not be what I'm here for. I'm all for our females navigating the corporate world more than anything.

Hahaha....I've watched 2 ep. and I chickened out when I thought of the ending. I will wait until it's finished and know what type of ending it has before I continue. You can say I'm protecting my heart...huh

Well apart from the fL's weird ponytail and her mother's disturbing hair (they should have fired the hairstylist in this drama) its good actually. I have now realised that Ji Sung is that actor who will turn anything into gold. I also like the medical genre so I'm a little biased.

And that's why many (inc. Me) enjoyed the chemistry of Yo Han and Ga On instead (even ship them). Whenever these two were on screen it was fire whereas Soo Hyun and Ga On's chemistry (bearing in mind these two are meant to have been crushing on eachother for years) was forgettable. I actually think Ga On had more chemistry with dead Soo Hyun compared to alive SH because at least he looked like a heartbroken soul when she died plus how he behaved afterwards...sigh

Yes and Yes to that last comment. That touch/caress on Ga On's chair by Yo Han was a major turn on...hehe
And that eye contact in the end... God knows how many times I screamed...
Like you I shipped for these two very strongly and completely ignored the females in their lives except for sweet Elijah.

Well Ga On's last statement in that last scene says it all about the reality of this world....Corruption and greed will never end..

2 ep. in and I actually like it very much. The leads are so cute together but my personal fav. so far is the Sister....I have a girl crush...hehe
She is so beautiful, calm and collected and yet so smart and badass. Everything is well thoughtout and calculated and yeah nowonder she is a chess master. I really hope, I won't hate her character in future ep.
I'm actually hesitant to continue watching this drama before I know how it will end. Historical dramas have a history (ooh the irony) of bad/open endings. Recently, I disliked The Long Ballad ending (and nope, its not a sad ending but just bad)so much so I'm still recovering
