Here is a drama that has 9/10 things that makes me want to drop it and 1 thing that has kept me watching. So what is it? 1) The plot- right from the get go you can feel that this story was written long time ago and it doesn't help that it just came out now where we now have seen a little bit of improvement into the quality of story and production. It's not that bad but not good either. 2) Characters (except FL) - Really it's been a while I see a spoiled rich brat ML. Onto ep 6 atm and the ML makes me mad that I just want to slap him many times. There is a scene I also want to punch his father. The character that is deemed the villain is a caricature who is somehow protected by the gods because his so called scheming is mediocre. And then the friends on each side (ML, FL) who are just bland. 3) Lack of logic - It doesn't make any total sense for a wealthy family to not deal with some petty pple the way wealthy people do. Per drama rules wealthy people can make you disappear from the face of the earth if you dare touch their heirs. So this wealthy man has a son whose life is in constant threat and he doesn't even involve the police; instead he hires a bodyguard to protect him. Even I myself who is not wealthy knows who to call first when my family is in danger.....Oh and apparently this wealthy man's right hand is the one causing chaos and nothing has been done, no investigation has been done whatsoever. Like how did this company get to where it is again🤔 I could go on....but one positive is the FL, Shiyi. So far Shiyi represents an everyday girl who is just trying to live her life and do her job well. I love how Claudia portrays Shiyi. Shiyi is so relatable and what I love most is she knows her boundaries and mind her own business. In other dramas we see a FL who portrays a doctor for e.g. also poking her knows into ML life, his friends, family and enemies business. So that's it for now...Shiyi is my reason to watch for now....
This week has been really tough...From getting assaulted to have my dearest uncle in a life threatening condition due to an accident and now to have to make the most difficult decision in my life...BAD BUDDY just gave me a little breathing space...an escape from my turmoil. And for that, I guess this ep. has just become more special #PratPranLove
Full agreement. Not every drama belongs in the romance genre and this is one of them. It adds absolutely nothing…
But then the romance doesn't overshadow the main plot (well, except LR) so 🤷 I actually like it that way because its a bit realistic...like people have lives and relationships outside their jobs. It's not all about the investigation.
So I watched ep. 25 and 26 prevs. and since it seems that Crown Prince will be on the suspicion list, I can't help but to feel hopeful for GBZ to leave Intelligence someday and be with our Si Yue. Yeah I am such a simple person. GBZ and SY are so adorable and sad at the same time so I hope the writer gives them a good ending. I know this is not that kinda drama but still....at least remove those unnecessary rules at Intelligence...
considering he never even saw his teacher's body in a pool of blood and indeed was evidently not aware how she…
You're absolutely right on that. It's like where is the trigger coming from. And to add, how the hell did he pass the Psych test if his symptoms are this serious. He either paid the one who did the assessment or that test is flawed AF. And the explanation the doctor gave is again flawed. XM is certainly still affected by that first incident so for the doc. to say, he is not....hmmm I'm really trying to withold some logic in this drama but then also I expected a bit more than this.
CONFESSIONS OF AN INFATUATED GAL OMG! I love this...binge watched the 10ep. in one day and this is an eye-candy dorama. Boi, the man in this are very very very Hot. ML fits his role to a tee and he is hella sexy....those cheekbones will slice anything. His followers/friends are equally hot. Then there is a nerd professor lurking around FL who is so adorable. By now, I don't care where the story goes, as long as I can feed my eyes with all this gorgeous man....hehehe I also love FL character and mostly that she is no pushover. Don't know if the writer wrote her character intentionaly that way since she nearing death hence fierce but I love how free spirited she is. Her banter with ML is my fav. part. Plus kudos to FL who can flirt with guys in a cute way and don't act midieval virgin when ML gets too close/ eye contact with her. I wish for a YouTube clip about this drama's bromance esp. Qian Cheng and his Shaoye...huh
Ok that was one strange cliffhanger. She did all that bad stuff for a man that's been dead for how many years?…
Oh that will sting. Weird enough I saw it coming. Part of me wants a plot twist though...like he faked his death or he killed his dad and replaced him. I don't know, but some twist will be good.
WITM is no Sherlock or Agatha Christie but what makes it enjoyable is the way the story is told and characters portrayed. I would say this is one of those dramas that wouldn't work without one of the other; story line and acting. The story is pretty generic but the great acting makes it exciting. I love how the main leads are so natural with their characters. Shen Yu is very complex and my bias for Zhaoliying made me want to understand and excuse some of her actions. But now, Shen Yu continues to leave me speechless. I understand that she is searching for her dad and may be reluctant to accept what the evidence seem to suggest but the length she goes to deny and then cover it all up is buffling. To Shen Yu, her love for her father is all that matters. Granted they had strong bond but then she would not have gone to all the trouble to mislead the investigation if somewhere in her heart doesn't believe her father to be the murderer. I give credit to Zhao Liying for taking on such a complex character like Shen Yu.
WITM has just become my poison (Luoyang is another). The acting, directing, cinematography, even the camera man...everything is amazing. I love how this drama portrays our leads as layered and not the typical protagonist. Xiao Bing for instance, he messed up pretty bad and he has to live with that but I can also understand him. Xia Mu is a fascinating character and I cannot imagine how he lived after witnessing all that horror. I'm not even surprised it messed up his psyche. The actir is so incredible in portraying Xia Mu that one minute I just want to give XM a hug and the next I'm in awe of his smart and the next I'm suspicious of him. Shen Yu is a wild card and I love how ZLY character is introduced last (well, they surely saved best to last) because she just throws a curveball into the investigation. Of all three, Shen Yu is the most layered because of everything she does, it is her calmness that's terrifying. It's like all her feelings are numb and nothing affects her. For this kind of character, it's easy for the actor to be wooden with no dimension but ZLY manages to balance the lack of expression with showing very subtle changes in body language. So far, it seems chocolate amd skating are her calm remedies.... And then the story with dad...well My mind is all over the place... If you are looking for a psychological thriller, crime solving and mind games....then this is straight up your alley.
10 ep in and Luoyang is not slowing down. It's fantastic. Based on the 10 ep. I've watched, I will give it a 9 and let's see if the rest live up to my expectations. Erlang- Love him and Wang Yibo is doing a superb job of balancing the highly educated and not so street smart Erlang. His character is relatable and I love how the writer portray him. Even though Erlang is smart, due to his upbringing he was not exposed to the cruelty of the world; however that all changes soon. To me that's realistic. Yue Hua- She is smart and can kickass too but it's also clear that she has a strong back-up. From her family to the Empress and her people, YH seems to be liked and I like that she uses that to her advantage. I'm so happy that she was the first one to understand and accept GBZ and there is no much bickering. (Well I kinda ship them). Oh I love how YH looks like a Mom with her bickering twins (Erlang and GBZ) Gao BingZhu is my absolute fav. so far and Huang Xiao's acting is brilliant as always. I love how he can convey so many emotions in one scene alone. That grave yard scene with YH is my best scene so far. I went from crying to laughing whilst crying and all thanks to GBZ. He is very clever but also doesn't show off plus he seems to be a good judge of character and that's a plus.
Aside from the main characters, all the side characters are doing a fantastic job that I'm not skipping any scene. This is a drama I didn't realise I needed plus more.
Ending Scene = Me nearly choking on water... Oh, OhmNannon will be my cause if death. P.S. Y'all don't skip the new end credit song...it's full of goodness
Well, He Dun is a 'psychologist' while Ye Jiahui is a 'psychiatrist'... He is a level higher than He Dun... Not…
Well a Psychiatrist is not superior to a Psychologist...These are two different fields so I disagree that is the reason. I do agree that JH is very smart and also manipulative but his upper hand comes from his unscrupulous acts...spying on her, hacking her phone etc. So he is doing his bit to stay ahead. My problem is, they portray FL as very observant, analytical and smart and yet, she doesn't question this person who is constantly inserting himself into her life....sigh
