They need her back for the ratings. Weekend drama, adding kim so yeon and yet the ratings are tanking. Kinda sad. They haven't improved from their terrible storyline, instead relying purely on the actor' skills to pull in the audience. Big mistake.
Writers really suck at romance, I feel like we should be thankful it's not the main focus on season 2 like season…
Dude this show never needed a season 2. Despite all the criticisms about Jo bo ah in season 1, the ratings were more consistent and guess what ? The ratings for episode 11 that just ended is the lowest ever including those in season 1. That tells you enough how the storyline sucks big time. Some crazy fans like you keep criticising certain actors while praising the writers sky high without realising that the problem are with the writers. We are at the final episode of part 1 of season 2 yet we still have no idea of 1) who the heck is moo yong's brother? 2) who the heck is the Japanese general ? 3) who the heck is this new super villain I.e most powerful mountain god 4) why did that God reverted moo Yong who was turned into stone back to his human form 5) what sort of experiments was the Japanese general conducting? Unless they intend to keep the Japanese general as a continuing villain in the 2nd part , which will then result in a mess due to there being too many major villains, I wonder how are they going to explain all these in 1 episode. At least in season 1, despite the generally bad writing, at least we knew about the main villain I.e imoogis back story very early on. Season 2? Other than some good acting from the casts, the storyline is shit. Just accept that.
Guys I'm from the production team. Lemmi give you guys some spoilers. Someone is going to die between rang, moo young and our cutie mermaid. However don't forget that amongst the artifacts yeon possesses, one of it is able to revive the dead (which is why moo young is after the artifacts to revive his dead bro). Yeon is gonna use the artifact to revive one of the 3, but the price is that he will get stucked in the past since he needs to get all 3 to return and save the future. There's still the king of the underworld remember I.e the chap taulipia met in the cinema . Part 3 will be about yeon and him where he will need the king of the underworld to return to the future.
The screenwriter is either a misogynistic homosexual, a young person who has never been in a relationship, or…
Don't even get me started on the doctor making love in the hospital part. Hell they did it with the door unlocked ! Don't forget how she let a murder accused escape by loosening her handcuffs only to be massively rewarded later on simply because she saved another rich patient. In any other country she would have been sacked on the spot and charged for gross negligence.
"Never have I seen a woman demeaning her own gender to this extent"1. She is a fictional woman. You seem to be…
No one would believe my comment. Sureeeee . That's why there are 9 people liking my comment to date and only only 1 liking yours. Sureeee. " The writer wrote one woman, she didn't represent the whole gender. I'm genuinely astonished by how you could speak for a gender that isn't yours even though I can't speak with this much certainty for mine." -the fact that you wrote this shows that you totally do not understand what I wrote earlier and you are just spewing some nonsense to defend the writer and the horrible writing. You clearly missed my points , both in my first comment and in my reply. I called you a kid because you started attacking my comments without even understanding the gist of it. In fact I'm more astonished that although you claim you are a woman, you don't mind such trashy writing that obviously demeans womenfolk. This show portrayed women to be dumb, submissive, reliant totally on men to the extent that even Dr cha's mother is asking her to forgive her husband for having a child out of wedlock and yet you are claiming that the show is only about "a fictional character that we should distinguish from real life". Yeah sure I would agree if the ending was done well. However despite all that, everyone lives happily ever after and the ex-husband is still hanging out with the ex wife and her son + gf after divorce? Not to mention he gets promoted to be the hospital director despite the affair being with a doctor in the very hospital where all 3 of them worked ? That's so brainless , fiction or not. Come back when you learn how to understand my comments, kid.
"Never have I seen a woman demeaning her own gender to this extent"1. She is a fictional woman. You seem to be…
Are you illiterate ? I'm referring to the writer, not the character. Since the writer is writing a show for public viewing, of course she should take into consideration the feelings of her target audience, a huge number who undoubtedly are women. Did I say Dr cha should forgive herself ? Don't put words into my mouth, kid. In fact the point is she knew that she herself cheated during college and yet she could forgive her husband so easily ? Not to mention to compare her cheating in college with a guy who is not married to someone who cheated while they are married and even bore a kid out of wedlock is beyond stupid. What nonsense. Last but not least, we all know she's a fictional character kid. However this is not a fantasy romance. If I want to watch a fantasy romance, I'll watch tale of the nine tailed instead. Seriously it's a waste of time replying to illiterate kids online.
The story makes 0 sense whatsoever . This writer should never write any other script ever again. 16 episodes of nonsense just for an amicable divorce ? Are you for real ? Not to mention the rubbish advice given by Dr cha's mother throughout. "don't divorce your husband even though he's cheating and has a kid out of wedlock". "even if my son in law is cheating, it's for my daughter and son in law to handle and it's non of my freaking business". Like for real? Not to mention the time skip in the last episode is so freaking annoying. Like seriously, you are able to have a fun and happy afternoon with your ex husband who had a mistress and a kid out of wedlock for years, treated you like a piece of trash and consistently put you down ? Is this scriptwriter from Mars or something ? Never have I seen a woman demeaning her own gender to this extent and I'm not even a woman. Lol. What a waste of my 16hours of life. Don't even get me started on the fact that she needed a 2nd surgery. How can a doctor who neglects herself after a transplant even be fit to be a doctor in the first place? She literally forgot to take her meds and you expect her to treat patients?how can her patients trust a doctor who can't even be bothered to take her own meds on time ? If it was me, I wouldn't want to be treated by such a doctor. It simply means that she's too incompetent .
7th episode had 5.3% ratings. How is this possible?
Yeah . They are just relying on star power to carry the show. The story is neither here nor there. At least in season 1 there's some background as to how imoogi came about early on.

Seems to me they overdid the mystery part a lot. Until now almost everything is still a mystery save for bits and pieces. If you want to show the origins of the *deitys*, you either go all in or you don't show it at all. It seems all the 3 gods (Lee yeon, Hong joo and moo young) were humans who underwent some sort of ritual or training but so far we still have no idea what these ritual or training are and how it came about.

Nah season 1's storyline sucks. Jo bo ah has carried dramas on her own before. Military prosecutor doberman is a prime example. Even this season's storyline actually sucks save for a few exception such as the mermaid and Kim so yeon. We are already 8 episodes in and yet, a lot of episodes seem to be fillers more than anything. I am not sure if they can properly explain everything if they keep showing fillers. For example, who's the lady who looks like yuri? What's her background ? Why is her father so willing to let her die if it means pleasing the Japanese ? I am wondering if they can explain everything in the remaining 8 episodes.
This show is going nowhere. Another waste of a good casts with good acting but rubbish storyline. It's like they attempted to make a comedic version of the world of the married but failed miserably and ended up turning the FL into a weak, sad, husband dependent woman. Is the scriptwriter really a woman ? Because she seems to think that women are weak, overly attached, overly forgiving and dependent on men. This is the problem with the Korean society in general. It's too patriarchial and it's being reflected even in multiple dramas and movies, unfortunately. The fact that the ratings of this show are rising in SK is proof of this. Yes there are some parts of the show which is funny but a lot of the comedy is ill-timed. I did laugh simply because it's funny, not because it's good. We have the recent controversy on the holocaust in bora Deborah, then we have the crappy ending in reborn rich, and now this. Quality screenwriters are a dying breed in SK tbh.
The writers are making the same mistakes in season 2 as they did in season 1 i.e starts off with a huge bang, and falter subsequently. The ratings tell it all. I'm not sure where the story is heading. It's already the 6th episode but it's still unclear what type of show is it supposed to be. Action ? Episode 1 and 2 has a lot but it's missing in 3 and 4. Love story ? I suppose Lee rang has that. So it's a love story between Lee rang and the mermaid ? That seems fun so far but they are lacking screentime.
She wasn't exactly a damsel in distress. She was smart and she got away from almost everything using her smartness.…
Well before someone accuses me of anything , let me make this clear that Bo-ah is one of my favourite actresses. The reason why I said they turned her into a damsel in distress is simply because in the first episode, she was brave and daring, as evidenced by her jumping off her apartment building just to test lee yeon. We don't get to see any of that in the subsequent episodes simply because she became a sideshow I.e just a tool for imoogi most of the time. Heck the same brave lady suddenly became so afraid of a few kid ghosts in the next few episodes. Doesn't make any sense . Like I said bo-ah's acting was really good (she always excels in all her roles) but the storyline was weak af. Like imoogi is supposed to be the big bad wolf but he got ko-ed so easily in like 5 mins in the end. Even the fight in episode 1 of season 2 lasted longer.
First 2 episodes were pretty decent but I'm still reserving my judgment considering how the writers started out season 1 with a bang and yet somehow screwed the story up by turning ji ah into a damsel in distress for no apparent reason. Good acting can only carry a show so far.
To be honest, I still can't get over the fact that Kim Go Eun got snubbed... Like... It's not even funny. The…
EAW shouldn't have been nominated for best drama tbh.there are so many issues with the story . The clueless police for example. How can a newbie lawyer find such an obvious piece of evidence which seasoned policemen failed to spot when it's right under their noses lol. Lame AF.
finished it a month ago i think and while i love the romance between young leads but the adult version? not so…
You are actually absolutely right in your observation. That is one of the main reasons I just can't label this as one of the *great Jdramas of all time". It is a major flaw in the story which I just can't overlook as well. For me , the main selling point of the show is the soundtrack and the final few minutes of the final episode . However, whatever nice stuff is clearly overshadowed by the major flaw you pointed out, unfortunately .the acting is great however so that's a major plus .
First two episodes are really good. Bona's acting is great as usual. Sad that the ratings in korea sucks simply because the casts are not "big timers".
Honestly the scriptwriters for this movie and the drama are real geniuses. To create a drama with such an amazing storyline is already out of this world. Now they even created a movie with whole new storyline whilst retaining some elements from the drama is pretty crazy. Alice ke. Greg hsu and Patrick shih are amazing as usual. Alice is just so freaking beautiful.
