Okay! Episode 5 is where I can finally say they handled things much better than the original. The whole thing with Tin and his brother Tul came off as just a bit of minor backstory in the original that clearly bothered Tin, but not to a great degree. But here, it's treated as a much bigger deal that's REALLY eating away at Tin, as it should. It's also great seeing this more vulnerable side of Tin, which made Can believing in him feel much more impactful. And based on the preview, it looks like Tul might be coming after Can next too. I'm into it!
Regarding the awkward kisses we've seen so far...isn't that the point? I thought Tin and Can's kisses have always been awkward, even in season 1. But that's because Can always held back, stiffened up, and acted like he didn't want to be kissed. I'd say their only good kiss was in the last episode when Can stopped holding back and kissed Tin back. So, I don't know, I'm not bothered personally.
Y'know, there are some things this re-telling is doing that I like even better than the original. I do like how Tin and Can start off on more neutral terms than hating each other out the gate. I like how they make it more clear how Tin started falling for Can because in the original it always felt like it came out of nowhere, but now we see that Tin finds Can's personality refreshing rather than just annoying. That being said, I still don't think they're doing an amazing job with the re-telling so far because it just feels oddly paced. At times it really drags and I feel like so many parts could've been cut. Other times, it moves too fast like they really are trying to hurry up and get to the new stuff. Episode 3 in particular felt like a lot of filler. Not a whole lot happened and I question if we really needed a full episode to cover the content in it. This also makes the "totally not an advertisement" moments stand out even more when it already feels like so much time has been wasted.
This show confuses me. I don't really get what's going on. These aren't the same characters from LBC, right? They can't be. They got different names and completely different personalities, it's just that the same actors are paired together. It just make me wish for LBC2 instead. What exactly was the reason LBC2 wasn't happening again? I thought it had something to do with a disagreement or whatever with the people managing Perth and Saint, making it difficult for them to work together again. But here they are, together again. So what's the problem? Could someone clarify, please?
Can someone pls enlight my dumbass self and explain the last 4 minutes btw the dad's? And why Farm ended up with…
I would honestly rather Farm remain single and sleep around than get with the Doctor, a relationship forged from lies, manipulation, and rape. There's nothing romantic about them...
I get that some people appreciated that this season wasn't all light-hearted and fluffy and dealt with serious struggles in a relationship...but that doesn't automatically make it good.
My problem is that it felt like they butchered the characters and made them do things they normally wouldn't do just for the sake of drama, which isn't good writing to me. Plus, every conflict was the same. Cheating. I thought just one couple would revolve around cheating while the others dealt with other relationship issues, but nope, let's just have everyone cheat because that's somehow interesting... >_>
