I think he meant that ZLS’s expression whilst playing the flute was akin to a rich village girl salivating over a guy before her wanting desperately to marry him. So when WL said “I will marry u in the future” he was mimicking what the village girl would think or say.

As I’ve mentioned in an earlier post it’s still not clear if her feelings for LBY is the right kind. She’d be crying buckets too if the person getting beaten because of her is LY. She’s just a very kind person who’d pour out her love and gratitude to anyone who is good to her.
So far all the kisses on her lips by LBY garnered not so great reactions from her. The only one that had some bit of effect I feel is the first forehead kiss coz she gushes over it thereafter.
So, does she or does she not at this stage (Ep 38) love LBY in a romantic way? 🤔
Although the latest episode had lots of fluffy scenes,i can't help but have mixed feelings. Like i can't convince…
I agree. LBY shdnt ask for too much from her. He’s right about one thing, she’d be much happier and carefree with LY.
It’s very stifling to be with LBY. It’s not just due to his cold fierce character but also the whole environment and people he comes packaged with. The palace is like a death trap everywhere especially for a brave bold honest girl like CSS. Why shd she go through all this ?
Why can’t she at least be given time to consider her whole situation? Why does everyone criticise her for not falling head over heels in love with LBY sooner? That’s not the kind of person she is. She’s rational and has a strong character and a good brain.
And how can LBY blame her for not trusting him? Has he been even 50% honest with her? The biggest thing happening in his life is his revenge and she knows squat about it. He should really look at himself first before he criticise others. Even WL himself said in an interview that he’d run far far away from someone like LBY. I think we should applaud CSS for not running away.
I agree. Many are way harsher on CSS than LBY. It’s only been months from when they met to now I believe. So…

Naturally they’ll put themselves in the FL’s shoes and go “If I’m her and if someone like ✨ HIM✨ does this for me, I’ll drool all over and drown myself in drool! How dare she…..”. I think it’s mostly this kind of mentality.

Well said. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Can’t fault CSS for not being the love at first sight type. Just because he’s handsome and smart and powerful and perfect in many ways and he loves her unconditionally and in a self sacrificial way doesn’t mean she has to love him back. We’re lucky that she does.
I love the Emperor too but in last night’s episode he also showed us how useless he is as a parent towards 5P. He was standing so close to her when she started babbling all kinds of insulting and hurtful things about 5 th Prince and Consort Yue, wailing and whining, etc that I kept expecting Emperor to slap her face Hard! I kept going “quick slap her slap her! Slap her”. And all that man cld come up with was “You have become mad”.
Even our super patient Empress lost it and ordered the guards to drag her out! Bravo Empress! But the best is still Yue Fei! Oh man that slap was sooooo satisfying it came down so hard and so fast! Cool lady! 👏🏼👏🏼

Totally agree with you!! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼 Not forgetting the biggest lie that’s coming their way. LBY acting on his own accord to take revenge for Gu City with total disregard towards CSS’s feelings and future! Hes got double standard.
After the bedroom kiss CSS said “if you don’t lie to me I’ll….” It’s clear this line is to lay the foundations for us for what’s coming but at that point in time, did she already feel he is lying to her?
In episode 38 you will go through all the emotions…. Beautiful episode, you’ll laugh and cry at the same time…
I think I laughed all the way during the beating! The Royal trio were at their best! Also coz no matter how hard I tried to look for tears on CSS face during those “crying” parts I saw none! So naturally my mind gets dominated by the BTS scenes where they added Mario music to her trying to get past the guards scenes. So hilarious.
Hmm….maybe watching BTS before the episode is not a good idea after all. 😆🤔

I beg to differ. Throughout the whole heated conversation bw LBY and CSS along the palace corridor I was nodding my head in agreement at everything CSS said. But then I was also nodding at everything LBY said too! 😆 They both have their points.
The part I disagree with was when LBY said “you hate me and you fear me” and I was like “Dude the girl is fearless if you’ve not realised it already and if she hated you would she make all those bento boxes for you…” And then the next thing I know CSS says “Yes I fear you” I thought that part was weird.
Actually right up to Ep 37 & 38 we’re still dealing with the subject of whether CSS loves LBY. Not just us fans in forums like this but the characters in the drama. Talk about slow burn romanace! Even the Empress felt that CSS has not given her heart to LBY.
So I’m a bit confused too. Does she love him in a romantic way? Hurting when he gets hurt doesn’t mean she loves him. I bet she would’ve done the same if LY was the one getting the beatings because of her! The bedroom scenes although rather suggestive doesn’t prove much too. You know I’m actually a little disappointed by CSS’s revenge ploy. It’s so mild ! Totally not befitting of the stuff 5P did to her. The way CSS was shooting daggers at 5P with her eyes….I tot she’d be planning something big! Our girl is just a softy at heart. With her wit and wisdom she could’ve pulled off something more serious and get away Scott free. Maybe she toned it down coz of the Empress?
