I just saw that 'pilot' all I can say is that it seems very farcical. But I realize that most of these are written by women, for women. Not sure why the feel the need to use such heavy stereotyping on the bottoms though. Not to say that there aren't fem guys out there, but they seem to take it to extremes sometimes. I'll still watch it, but based on that pilot....I have very low hopes/expectations.
I get it that in a gay relationship there is a bottom and top, or verse. And they have some certain roles to play.…
I think it's because it's primarily written by women, for women. And they seem to expect that kind of relationship...ie- the 'weak/effeminate' bottom guy. Honestly it's a bit annoying to have those kinds of stereotypes perpetuated. I've only watched up to Episode 5 in this series and so far I haven't really seen that in the series itself. Which is a good point in my book. I think a lot of other people are correct about the other issues though....but watching without thinking too much is OK.
I had very low expectations of this show. But I have been very pleasantly surprised. I have watched the first 6 episodes and I like it. He really needs better friends though....they use and abuse him....
Does Ye know that Xu is madly in love with him already? What about him?
At this point....I don't think he's quite sure about that. I think 'Ye' is probably so used to people reacting to him a certain way that he's not quite sure what's real and what's not when people interact with him. That being said, I think they are moving along at a decent pace.... Ye is obviously falling in 'love' with Xu but it's first love and they are having to get the courage to take that next step.
Doesn’t MDL usually add BL tag if it’s a BL? I couldn’t tell for sure by watching the trailer that it is…
Would have to confirm that it is first.... Probably something else...like he doesn't actually want to be in showbiz or something(I haven't even watched the trailer so it's just guessing...not a spoiler)
I'm on episode 4 and not really interested so far , does it get better from here, should I continue? Ngl but Theos…
I'm on Episode 9 and although it is not as bad as some people say.....Theo will continue to be an immature/selfish twit....seriously the way he is played he pretty much only has money going for him..... Akk is OK...you can watch for him (He deserves so much better than Theo though...).
Phat marrying a woman - I hoped in that moment that he wasn't gay, otherwise it would have set a horrible message…
Sexuality is a spectrum, and it was established early that he was attracted to at least one girl previously. Being yourself is important, too many people feel pressured to choose one way or the other. (Which occurs far too often)
The cancer...that was perfectly reasonable... I think they were going for a 'peaceful' way out for him rather than a violent/traumatic death.
When I initially saw that they changed actors in "Cupid's Coach" I didn't really watch it. I regret that now that I've seen Love Area 1 (and most of Love Area 2). This guy is a really good actor I think. Although I've only seen him in 1 kind of role so far (honest, loving, diligent boyfriend type), so I can't say how well he would do in others. But he's really cute so I hope to see much more of him :)
And I don't think this picture really does him justice..... He looks much better in both 'Cupid Coach' and 'Love Area'
Based on the usual formula the next-to-last episode of a drama will have a desolate and hopeless feeling to it,…
I agree that Valen is emotionally very immature. But, I disagree about Kaitoon being emotionally immature. He's just in a rebound stage after being dumped HARD. So he's very vulnerable, anyone would be when they were that committed to the relationship. And Kaitoon was always played 100% committed.
In my opinion, Kaitoon has always been consistently played as a mature. And this has been very rational based on his background of growing up without parents and having to be self-reliant.
Valen is a spoiled brat and a manipulative bastard. But what was that with his father scene...so not a happy home life...absent father (possibly Valen is either a child of a previous marriage or of a mistress...I don't know if the translation was incomplete or if they just never said clearly).
As for Ice...yeah he's rather young for a sex scene since he just turned 15. But 15 y/o's have romances so he could do up to that point. But this may be a difference in cultures...I recall that "Ohm" Pawat Chittsawangdee filmed a rather steamy scene in 'Make it Right' season 1 and based on his birthday and the air date, he was probably 15 at that time, although they could have waited until he was and gone back to film that scene afterwards since his 16th birthday would have been in that time frame. Consulting the mystical magical seer called 'Google' Thailand apparently has a 'legal' age of consent of 15, but 'effective' age of consent is 18 due to some other legislation according to https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/age-of-consent-by-country
So I think it's probably more of a cultural difference rather than negligent parents.

(Not because of Perth... )
Honestly I'm not overly fond of either of the 2 main leads, but I'll give it a shot when it comes out.
If you try to bring in the baggage from 2 Moons in general...you will probably be disappointed.
My recommendation: have no expectations and you will probably be fine. (Don't expect it to hit the top 10 list though!)
If you take separately it seems OK.
My only real complaint is that Episode 3 and 4 subtitles are not that good.
I have watched the first 6 episodes and I like it.

I like gay/bl shows but there is a LOT more to being gay than just romance.....
And there was enough relationship drama in my opinion.
