is this really a romantic drama or is it just albi romance?
Don't know what albi is :P. The romance is pretty big yeah... but there are some other plotlines to, that make the story interesting and fun to watch.

Did anyone else like the fact, that although some of the characters (mainly...no wait, only women) were evil in…
Yes, definitely :).

MESSAGE PART 1:
Caught up with 12 out of the 16 eps. in the last few days. So now I will join you all in waiting for the last few episodes (fortunately it will only be a short while before the next 2).

So far I really enjoyed some things in this show:
- Doo Rim can really defence herself physically: even with her love interest she doesn't let herself be taken advantage of physically.
- Doo Rim really cares for the Yi Hyun, and not just uses him to dump all her problems on. And she is very clear towards him about her feelings for him.
- I liked Roo Mi having a big character development. She did really lose her pride at some point, but at the moment (ep. 12) she is one of the few people who really knows where she stands and is able to see the big picture and be kind and wise... even when she might not like the situation. And I do like the fact that she speaks her mind and decides when things should be told and when not.
- No 'insta-love': they disliked each other and although love grew quite fast, it was growing in a normal way. And they started to treat each other better and better.. instead of him being this alpha-male and the more he loved her the more horrible he threats her. Well... before the after-marriage fiasco anyway :P.
- A lot of the 'bad' characters aren't completely bad. More of a grey area.

MESSAGE PART 2:
What was really weird:
- Yi Hyun.. I can understand Doo Rim is not his sister. I understand he may develop feelings: really liking her. But if I knew a boy who looked exactly like my brother, I think it would be very hard to fall in love with him. I just can't imagine myself having intimate contact while looking at his face and seeing my sibling there..
- What's up with the marriage thing: if you are afraid of this marriage curse and you can't just 'live together and be happy', then pretend to be married to the outside world and live happily ever after without everyone knowing.
- Why would the father marry a woman he doesn't like.. and he even suspected she killed the woman he loved. Even with family pressure I could never marry and have kids with someone who I think might be involved in killing my true love.

MESSAGE PART 3:
- Why did Doo Rim not tell Kang Ju about her lying: even before everything got out of hand? She did have somewhat of a valid reason up to that point. If it is really true love you should be able to tell things like this: wrap it up in a story so he will understand why she did it. If he is not able to forgive you, even after you decide to sacrificed your life for him, he is not worth it. I was kind of disgusted with the fact she did not clear this before the wedding. The only redeeming fact was that she thought that if she died he would not suffer... because she would be replaced by the real Yi Kyung)... but still...
- No one has pyjamas in this series?
- What's the point of the famous brother: he seems to be forgotten.. Well, not sure if this is good or bad.

But!!! I actually really liked this series in general so far. The first few kisses even gave me a bit of butterflies and it has been a while since a series did this with me. I enjoy the acting.

I'm disappointed. After all the fuss I thought I would watch an amazing romance. But it was just so so. Not especially bad, but certainly not a great drama.

There were a lot of nice ideas, but most of them were executed poorly. Like the writers thought: 'hey, this is a nice plot' and then forgot about it completely, let the idea dangle a bit in the wind and then suddenly realized they forgot all about it and quickly ended it.

And Gil Ra Im should have kicked a lot more ass. Especially Joo Wons. He deserved a lot more pain then just a few pokes and slaps.

Anyway, it was still fairly enjoyable.

I really enjoyed it. I did cry a lot.
It slows down a bit in the middle. The part with the child actors is the best.. and the episodes nearing the end. There were some things I would change, but overall I thought it a very good drama.

Yeah, maybe it was also because I recently watched the Moon Embraces the Sun and he gave us a somewhat similar performance. I'm sure he will improve :D.

Is it me, or are K-dramas getting more and more realistic kisses? :D
I recently rewatched all James Bond movies. Indeed, it was something very noticeable if you watch them all in sequence. I enjoyed the 'in between' versions the most.
In the early ones the humour is sometimes leaning more to slapstick (not my favourite) and in the latest versions it is all too serious and dramatic.

So yeah, I agree that Asian dramas should not all go to far in that direction, but for now I'm actually quite pleased with the better kisses and stuff :).

And what did you think about the acting? I was quite impressed with the main actress and also some of the other actors, like her brother.

But I had the feeling the main actor his performance fell a bit short. Of course he had to behave a bit stiff because he was an alien, but I don't know... I felt like it could have been better. Well, it wasn't bad, but it was just that in a lot of scenes the actress outshone him :D.

Yes, I think we are on the same page. I liked that it has a nice easy paced ending.. and a good ending.
But why he suddenly should disappear... end appear again? It was a very strange 'out of nowhere' explanation and a lot of questions were unanswered. I liked the series, I liked the ending... but I'm still kind of unsatisfied.

Why? Because of the innocence? The 'old' kisses were kind of weird :P.

Ep 17' scene where Cheon Song Yi' brother wanted to replay the scene of E.T.'s film with Do Min Joon's finger…
Yes, I laughed so much with that scene about the children. And when she replies something like: 'what if a boy pops out halfway through' and he is like 'well.. if that kind of outragious thing happens, we have to face the consequences and raise him'.
