The villain became intertwined with his sister in sharing of the heart so he was taking on her feminine persona. He was literally morphing into his feminine side but also becoming more insane. That’s what his evil side chick, Hua E commented to Feng Yin that he was starting change into someone like his sister and that he even smelled like a female.

Why couldn’t the damn divine tree save them?!!!! I kept hoping the tree would reward them for all their hardships & sacrifices but nothing!!! Arghhhhh!!!!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭Omg….such a beautiful couple!!! Loved the lead actors and the secondary actors too!!!! Why though?!!!!!!!!!! Whyyyyyyyyy!!!!! Can’t these dramas ever have a happy ending?! I knew what was to come but still wasn’t prepared for it! The ratings for this drama should be way higher! It’s a tale of true love and sacrifices all around. I can’t say enough about Zhao Yi Qin who played Xi & Shen Yu Jin who played Yuan. They were absolutely amazing….I need them together again but in a happier drama! I still can’t get over the ending. At least let us see them reunited in spirit forms at the end…they couldn’t even give us that?!!!! 😢😢😭😭😭😭
Thanks for the info but I subscribe to Viki and iQiyi....So I'll wait for these last eps to air (I'll have something to look forward to watch) while I watch another drama in the meantime. :)
She may seem stupid but she's very calculating and explained to Hua Zhi why she chose to marry Mr. Sun even though he seems like a lech with 8 concubines. And you can see clearly how the other concubines thought Qin was going to be a pushover but she proved them otherwise by taking charge of the them & the household. I guess she wanted a household of her own to control and she saw marrying Mr. Sun as that opportunity. So in a way, the marriage really served her purpose. So maybe she's not that stupid after all - also, she knows she can always divorce him and return back to the Hua household if she finds herself unhappy in the future.
Ugh!!! I got to ep 34 on Viki last night and then I got the dreaded message that I have to wait for the next ep. Now I checked in today and see 35 & 36 were uploaded. I thought the whole series was already aired....ugh...... I binge watched yesterday and can't wait until the end to see how they will find a way to be together. Love this drama so far!!!
The show is fine, but the FL's character is just too dumb that it's frustrating. Even if she lost her memories…
She never wanted to be an Empress to begin with. You have to remember that she was raised in the plains and was the spoiled granddaughter of the leader and was free to run around. She knew nothing of the political mechanizations of the royal palace. She wasn't exposed or groomed to know what was expected of her in the palace. She was just a free spirit that became caged in the palace. Her "marriage" was just a political alliance which was forced upon her. The ML had specific motives in trying to work his way up the chain in a palace filled with corruption, backstabbing, deaths, etc. He did what all the others did in the palace - use people to go up in the ranks. He never figured that along the way he would fall in love. He also had to navigate between being cold and calculating and also trying to protect the woman he had fallen in love with. Also, he was responsible for the death of the FL's beloved grandfather and the deaths of her people.....did you forget that? And, these two lost their memories when they jumped into the River of Oblivion. Despite that, even with their memory loss, they fell in love all over again - it seemed destined. The FL may have started off naive - she wore her heart on her sleeve and couldn't pretend to be anything but herself. She reminds me more of a rebel princess who didn't want to be confined by the rules & etiquettes of being a royal. In the end, she knew exactly what she was going to do for her people and for her love for the ML. She was not dumb at all.
I'm still watching this and love the relationship between the two leads. The only frustration I have at times is with the female lead, Hua Zhi - At times I felt she was just too damn nice and has a way too forgiving nature. I know this drama is about women empowerment and personal growth but there were times I just wanted to scream out for her at the people who wronged her and caused her hurt/harm due to their selfish reasons/greed/stupidity. This male dominated society portrayed in this drama was frustrating! The men had the right to beat their wives with no repercussions. Anyway....I still have a ways to go before I finish this drama.
This is getting more interesting with the twists happening here! Most annoying scene: Im Sol's brother & her bestie fighting in the room entirely unaware that a kitchen fire was happening! That was so ridiculous...I was screaming at the screen how you both don't see the fire and the smoke billowing around you...ugh...that got me so pissed! The funny scene: After Seon Jae's dad found out why his son wants to quit swimming and they are sitting at the table with his dad drinking. His dad told him that Seon Jae should have told him why he wanted to quit...and that even though Seon Jae is a foot taller than him doesn't mean he has to take everything on himself. That was a funny & sweet scene. Ugh...I said I was going to pause the drama until they air more eps but I failed. I love the couple's chemistry!
Hyeyoon has talked about this on the naver talk chat today. There is a clear difference Dan Oh tried to change…
Ok - Thanks....I'm putting this drama on pause until there are more eps aired....I'm too impatient to wait for each ep to come out...I rather binge watch.
Seriously...it's just like Extaordinary You with the same actress being a student except she's travels back in time instead of being stuck in a cartoon. There's so many cringe scenes but it also made me laugh out loud....I'm not sure I will continue watching but as of now since there's only 3 eps aired, I will pause it. I think the ML, Byeon Woo Seok is absolutely gorgeous and hope he gets more male leads in the future. He also has a great singing voice too! Look up the OST "Sudden Shower" from this drama.
Liu Xue Yi is one of my favorite actors and it's a shame that he often plays 2nd male leads...he's gorgeous & sexy whether playing good or evil roles. There's always a vulnerability about him that makes you want to be on his side no matter what roles he takes on. He was especially amazing looking in this drama with all the different costumes he had on...from intricate to plain robes, he rocked both. He was the perfect Pan Yue who yearned for his childhood bestie who he had a close connection with. He never stopped looking for her and even when he found out she had switched bodies, he never wavered from his devotion to her. The part where it really got to me was when he thought he lost Cai Wei again after they tumbled down the hill....the heartbreak in his demeanor and face were devastating as he called out to her. He's such a great actor. I think people really just want to hate on the female lead JJY. I think her acting is just fine...I also liked her in Sword & Fairy 4. Anyway...I'm devastated by Jiang...why....WHY????!!!! I was hoping for a miracle with him still alive...so not fair for him and for BXS!!! And what's with the ending? Does that mean we will have Season 2???!!!
There is no way Nam Soon is better than Do Bong Soon. I loved the original drama so much and expected so much…
I suspended reality when I saw the first one...so yeah...I am capable of doing that. I'm just saying that the storyline wasn't as good as the original storyline and I found the characters more appealing than this sequel. That's just my opinion.
I really enjoyed this drama. I like it much better than Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Yes, it may be a bit exaggerated…
There is no way Nam Soon is better than Do Bong Soon. I loved the original drama so much and expected so much from the sequel. This was so bad that I couldn’t continue. I could not stand Nam Soon’s childish and silly personality. You had to really suspend reality in this one. The filthy rich mom doesn’t even do a dna testing on the fake daughter but just accepts her as her daughter because she won the contest. Nam Soon exposes her strength at the drop of a hat. The homeless couple story was stupid; putting up tents in the park was dumb; the cop falling for her at the get-go was ridiculous; the whole story was ridiculous and cringey to watch. I dropped it! I rather watch the original again.
let us see them reunited in spirit forms at the end…they couldn’t even give us that?!!!! 😢😢😭😭😭😭
