Is this adapted from a BL novel into a bro series? If so, i shan't bother because the stories are usually so butchered by the censors that its pointless. I think the drama writers should just write their own bro stories , adapt actual bro books, that the censors will adore and NOT chop up because of their bigoted mindset against anything LGB. It's a great shame to see such beloved novels butchered because of a cruel ideology by a controlling and psychologically sterile regime.

Same......I live in hope that one day it will be subbed. Thankfully someone's subbing the Thai version of Boss & Me, so there's always hope I think....

Really REALLY shocked the ever wonderful Kdrama Goblin wasn't on the list as it was (and is) so beloved and has a huge fanbase (including me) - it was a drama even my husband watched and he's not a fan of anything subtitled usually. Still the picks were interesting as was the voting - shows how much we dramaland addicts differ even as we all cling together in our little world of East Asian drama.

I'm rewatching 'Ode to Joy' I'm that desperate for a decent drama with starring in. Poor sod, and he's such a great actor too!

I woulldn't mind so much if China wasn't run by a dictatorship who has a human rights record that would make even Vlad the Impaler raise an eyebrow.

Still, as you say better than the usual 'aren't we wonderful' war dramas. I do think the one about how better off Hong Kong is under Chinese rule is VERY wrong though. Still, we're into November now (just) so hopefully this propaganda nightmare will end soon and we can get back to the romcoms and decent dramas.

Don't expect to get anything even remotely believable, even if you squint with one eye shut. This is nothing but propaganda which they will fill with pro regime & pro party waffle.

It's all a bit too in your face for me - I mean ALL countries have their propaganda pieces (even mine - the UK), but they're a bit more subtle. Lately China's been really in your face and it's not even funny now. But, as you say, the quicker they're cranked out, the quicker we see the back of them!😂

Yeah, sounds like a 'look how much better HongKong is with China in control'.....quickly ignoring the native hongkongers struggling for freedom in the background. China's making a LOT of propaganda 'entertainment' (I use that word loosely) lately. Not good; always a sign of a regime who worries about losing control......

So more Chinese propaganda only this time about how Hong Kong is better being subjugated under China's boot.....yes, I'm sure native Hong Kongers agree.....especially the students they brutally put down.

Is this just more propaganda about how wonderful China is, especially since Ping took over? because I'm more than a bit done with all that now. Hopefully not.....but.....certainly been a theme with these types of 'dramas' lately.

I think some people just struggle with a simple 'thank you'.

To be fair it wasn't even a spoiler - just pretty much what you could've read if you'd bothered with the synopsis or any of the reviews above you.

All of Us are Dead and Sweet Home were brilliant. (Sweet Home is supposed to be getting a season 2, but not real details yet). Most of these were good adaptations - But Hellbound, which I binged on Netflix, was pretty 'WTF?!' to me. But there is to be a season 2, so hopefully it'll become clearer then.

I liked Her Private Life and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?, I really wish Cheese in the Trap would take the adaptations further than the recent ones did. A Business Proposal and My Roommate is a Gumiho are on my to watch list, along with Yumi's Cells.

Aww thank you - but you don't have to thank me for loving such wonderful inspirations to so many of us....even me. I think BTS in particular and Kpop in general is really great. :)

Actually it was because life expectancy wasn't high, especially for the poor and infant mortality rates/death in childbirth (the latter for mother and/or baby) were astronomically high. So marriage at a ridiculously young age, that we would baulk at now, was the standard back then. Only in high ranking noble families were extremely young girls married off to much older nobles due to power/money/titles. It's also why noble families were keen to make their daughters/sisters etc concubines to the emporers and crown princes - didn't give a damn about their female relative, just the kudos they'd get if she became a favourite and, hopefully, produced a son.

Sadly in some countries child brides (some younger than even 9) and being married to men in their 30s/r0s (or even older) are still happening even today. But no one seems to hate on that, just want to troll dramas where there's a consentual age gap of a mere 7 years. Smhs

7 years between adults is NOT a lot. I have 5 years between me and my husband, who is wonderful.. I found guys my age were too childish. I dated a guy my age who was violent and abusive. If a person chooses to knly date people the exact same age as them - their choice. But to insult others (of any gender and all sexualities) is just short-sighted and judgemental.

Youtube. I gave up on the main couple. So I'm watching cuts of the secondary couple. Tragic ending for them I know as I've seen a clip, so I'll skip their final few minutes. But the main couple just left me cold.
