So more Chinese propaganda only this time about how Hong Kong is better being subjugated under China's boot.....yes, I'm sure native Hong Kongers agree.....especially the students they brutally put down.
Is this just more propaganda about how wonderful China is, especially since Ping took over? because I'm more than a bit done with all that now. Hopefully not.....but.....certainly been a theme with these types of 'dramas' lately.
All of Us are Dead and Sweet Home were brilliant. (Sweet Home is supposed to be getting a season 2, but not real details yet). Most of these were good adaptations - But Hellbound, which I binged on Netflix, was pretty 'WTF?!' to me. But there is to be a season 2, so hopefully it'll become clearer then.
I liked Her Private Life and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?, I really wish Cheese in the Trap would take the adaptations further than the recent ones did. A Business Proposal and My Roommate is a Gumiho are on my to watch list, along with Yumi's Cells.
Aww thank you - but you don't have to thank me for loving such wonderful inspirations to so many of us....even me. I think BTS in particular and Kpop in general is really great. :)
To be fair, he is only seven years older than her, and they only fall in love when they are both adults, so it's…
Actually it was because life expectancy wasn't high, especially for the poor and infant mortality rates/death in childbirth (the latter for mother and/or baby) were astronomically high. So marriage at a ridiculously young age, that we would baulk at now, was the standard back then. Only in high ranking noble families were extremely young girls married off to much older nobles due to power/money/titles. It's also why noble families were keen to make their daughters/sisters etc concubines to the emporers and crown princes - didn't give a damn about their female relative, just the kudos they'd get if she became a favourite and, hopefully, produced a son.
Sadly in some countries child brides (some younger than even 9) and being married to men in their 30s/r0s (or even older) are still happening even today. But no one seems to hate on that, just want to troll dramas where there's a consentual age gap of a mere 7 years. Smhs

7 years between adults is NOT a lot. I have 5 years between me and my husband, who is wonderful.. I found guys my age were too childish. I dated a guy my age who was violent and abusive. If a person chooses to knly date people the exact same age as them - their choice. But to insult others (of any gender and all sexualities) is just short-sighted and judgemental.
Youtube. I gave up on the main couple. So I'm watching cuts of the secondary couple. Tragic ending for them I know as I've seen a clip, so I'll skip their final few minutes. But the main couple just left me cold.
Hi, I'm the subber for this! They're not actual siblings or related by blood in any way. BUT! And it's a big but,…
That you take the time to do any is more than enough. Seriously thank you.
I will definitely enjoy more. Currently watching professional Single on dramacool, We are all Dead and Happiness on Netflix. Got Silent Sea (Gong Yoo!) for Netfkix and Jirisan for dramacool lined up next.😊
My daughter's ARMY, so I read the webtoon and of course I've watched the music videos and listened to the music. As someone who's fought their own demons, I found it sad but also inspiring. Yes the characters had traumas and horrors from their pasts, but fought their own demons with a real determination not to give in. The whole concept was amazing to me.
I'm old (56) so mean no disrespect to either BTS or ARMYs when I say the boys are always amazing to me. I'll always be grateful to my daughter, because wanting to share one of her passions (and I suck at at gaming) I decided to learn about BTS and got into Kpop generally from there. But I'll always love BTS as they were my first introduction to kpop and are wonderful boys who make fantastic music with real stories to tell.
Ahh, Ugly Duckling: Perfect Match should've been there. It's my go to when I want cheering up. Really happy to see Kiss Me make the cut, as I think it's in the best adaptation of InK that's been made. It was nice to see King as a genuine threat to TenTen, in successfully luring Taliw away. It was really nice to see the character be taken seriously, rather than just made a pathetic 'comedic' role. It was areally brilliant to see Taliw be an excellent nurse and, again, not just want it to be clowe to ML. When she walks away from him, you really believe she's genuinely trying to move forward with King.st a real shame they never did make the second series as promised.
Still we have Boss & Me, which I've watched raw and loved, but definitely watch again if and when it gets subs. Oh who am I kidding, I'll be watching it raw. Sadly my language learning app doesn't have Thai yet, but as soon as it does you can bet I'm learning it. But I really hope this gets subs sooner than that!😊
What did I just watch? The synopsis made it seem like the FL has a big scar on her face, but she just has a little…
Yeah, as a recovering self harmer I would dread to see what she makes of mine. LOL! I wasn't even sure she had one to start with. Like you said a bit of concealer, I think any stick one would do, let alone a heavy duty one and she's golden!!

Ah, I finally get to personally thank a subber! Honestly the work you guys do have kept me sane for many years. I would never have been able to watch any of my favourite Asian dramas without all of you. You got me through lockdown and the dumpster fire the world became, run by morons at that - and, now that its morphed into a double dumpster fire - you're all keeping me from freaking out.
You NEVER, EVER get enough thanks and, though an old sick woman (I'm 56 and in very poor health), I want you to know I am not alone in feeling a LOT of gratitude for all you do. I just wish more would say thank you rather than....SUB THIS, SUB THAT!! I was told to basically stay in for a year and half due to the pandemic and my susceptability to it. But I never got as stir crazy as the rest of my family (who could leave sooner than me) because of subbed dramas.
So thank you and thank you to all subbers. You are ALL truly wonderful people with warm hearts and amazing skills. If you know other subbers please thank them for me. You all ROCK!!
As to the drama - I think I'll watch it, just because you've gone to the trouble of subbing it and I want to see how she reconciles loving someone who is a doppleganger for her deceased sibling.
I like them all, though I do loathe China's current rising obsession with more propaganda style dramas and also their treatment of the LGBT+ community in BL dramas. But they do still make some good dramas. Love in Time and My Little Happiness are my favourites.
It's like they're trying to copy the horrible dramas that have this sort of non ending....the worst was 'Potato Star 2013QR3' (Kdrama) that just kind of......stopped in the middle of the last episode. Literally just.....stopped. So ridiculous.
Awww, I love her - so glad to see her FINALLY getting the lead. I first saw her in Coffee Prince and then began to notice her in so many other dramas, she's a wonderful actress.
I'm guessing they're actual siblings? I need to know before I watch. I don't mind the 'adopted'/'step' romances because there's no blood kinship involved. BUT if they're actually siblings/related by blood.....yeah, I'm not into incest.
