You mean “Lorena Bobit” him ?! Actually happened in USA.
@FrothyMix - I think if anyone is tied in bitterness and hate, it's you. You seem to be spewing vitriol like a shaken up pop bottle; just pumping out expletives and insults like a kiddies cap gun. I suggest you seek anger management counselling as soon as possible.
Cutting a guy's genitals off isn't the 'centre of joy' in my life. Actually my husband and daughter are. But you wouldn't understand that as eaten up by hate and rage as you are. My history IS true, as is my history with a violent ex. But I really don't care if you believe me or not - that's on you. Your questioning of my reality doesn't make it any less true; it's sad that you seem to think it will.
FYI my mum NEVER gave my father ANY kind of 'permission' to bed every female he met. She never gave him permission to steal our bill money to buy them whatever baubles they wanted. Cheaters are narcissists; it really is that simple. I stand by my sentiments that I would feel the same if the cheater is a female or any other gender identity.
I will not be responding to you again. I would also advise you to get serious anger management therapy in place; you sound very, VERY disturbed. Good luck with your life; maybe a bit less obvious in your loathing of women too - misogynists don't do well in today's society.

You really need to stop taking posts THIS seriously. Holy God of Chocolate, people like you suck all the joy out of life. A perfect little ray of darkness. However, I am the adult offspring of serial womaniser - who BROKE my late mum's health. He was cheating right up until the day she died; his latest mistress even arrived at her FUNERAL at his invitation.
So I have ZERO sympathy for cheaters of ANY gender or gender identity being caught and 'facing the music' for the harm they cause their spouses the most as well their families. But my previous comment was a JOKE
Why these drama reminds.me of a chinese historical drama or something
I think it's just that these drama types are based on Korean mythology and history; I don't believe they're copying Chinese or any other East Asian country's dramas. I think it's only that there is a lot of similarities between a many of the East Asian myths and legends.
I absolutely LOVED this series, so I'm really happy a second season is coming. BUT they really need to bring Song Kang back...his character was the lynchpin.
I think it was love since the start - they both just didn't realize it. Many times it was hinted in the movie.…
Oh I COMPLETELY agree - I've watched pretty much all his work and he is an AMAZING actor. He reminds me very much of Johnny Depp in that he plays every character so well that you truly believe he IS that person; that that person is completely real. I saw him most recently in My Little Monster which was one of my favourite mangas & animes, he absolutely NAILED Haru. Even when a film, etc has been bad, he still plays his character so well that at least you can leave it thinking "Suda Masaki was all that made that tolerable."

Yeah I had wondered if he might be gay or trans to begin with and was impressed that his family seemed to accept him (I know East Asia isn't the most accepting, though Japan's getting better these days, though not as good as Taiwan). But I realised very quickly he was just a fashion fan who adored female clothes because of his mum and because loved being 'different' to others and achieving his dreams HIS way.
I think her infatuation with his brother was a very short lived crush in the end. As you say, I think they loved each other very quickly but were oblivious for a long time. I like to think that, in the end, they ended up together, we just didn't see it. I have no doubt that any kids they had would have a wonderful life.
I thought the series was good, but I still love the film the most. There's just a warmth about the film the series seemed to lack. BUT that's just my personal take. :) Thanks for replying - it's nice to chat to others who love it too!
LOL I feel like your comment perfectly encapsulates most of Sono Sion's work tbh!
We have directors in the West where I try to guess what their drug of choice was whilst writing it etc. Kubrick's were the toughest. Good to see East Asia has similar directors to play the game with. For this movie I'm going magic mushrooms... ;)
I wonder the same, I guess you're referring to that creepy naked scene from the trailer... :/
Well, he better hope this NEVER airs abroad because, whilst this MIGHT be acceptable in Japan and East Asia as whole (though I'm honestly skeptical on that), it would be a HUGE Nope in the West. Given that Netflix buys lots of East Asian dramas, I really hope someone actually bothers to watch this before buying it for broadcast. He'd be banned here if it aired.
Wellll it’s out :) and about China banning lgbt books. Your right, and wrong. There are still lots of WEBNOVELS…
Well, it's good it's out now, I honestly didn't think they'd allow it. Which means it probably has a sad ending - one of the couple dies from an infected papercut and/or their parents all spontaneously combust from shame. It's the way it goes for Chinese BL. I really don't understand why China's dictatorship loathes the LGBT+ community so much. I'm really glad they've not clamped down on the web novels yet too.
I've only JUST found it, so not read it yet but I think it's pretty close. So hopefully we can find out if what I was told is true and they end up together at least in the book!
Same my thought, I didn't expect this to be more than more than Bromance. But above comments really discouraged…
I haven't read the novel. I've been looking for it, but it seems to be only in the original mandarin. If I ever find a version that's translated, I'll let you know. However, I have been told that yes they were a couple in the novel, but cannot confirm because I've not read it myself. Hope that helps.
Too long ago. The limitation period in thailand for crimes worth death sentence, imprisoning for 20 years or life…
We knew it was coming, but it was very quick at the end and so quite a shock. But he's with my mum now and he's no longer in pain, so I take comfort in that. My husband and daughter are brilliant, along with some cousins I'm close to. But thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I honestly don't think I've suffered like others during 2020. I really hope 2021 is better for all of us.
