@Xukun - Yeah, I'd guessed as much. That's China's anti LGBT+ stance. It's a real shame for the dramas, the cast/crew, etc and the Chinese LGBT+ community.

Ah, I have something similar linked to my autoimmune disease, so I genuinely feel for him - the pain from that is terrible. Ah Tale of the Nine Tailed!! I LOVE that....just started watching it. Oh is he a real bad guy in it like a friend told me? I would like to think he played with a backstory, it's something he's exceptionally good at. :)

Oh thank you so much for the info. I have many health issues - all long term & incurable. I hope he's not the same; has he been cured or is it something else? I genuinely hope he's getting better and not stuck with something long term. That's really sad to hear. However, I bet he made a wonderful social worker and did help a lot of people, he just strikes me as that sort of person. Thank you again. She's a suck up it would seem and knows how to play the 'sweet, clueless victim' well. I think, from what I've read about her affair, is she pretended she was 'led astray' by PG One. Ridiculous really, but there are those who want to believe it. Certainly not her ex husband though as he divorced her last year. However she's filmed THREE 'intimate videos' with PG One. He was outed as her lover in 2017 and she spent two years trying to do damage limitation.....didn't work. Her ex rightly divorced her cheating arse.

She has one daughter with her ex husband - Sadly there's no news on who the child resides mostly with. I hope it's him though. Apparently the cheater still wants to be with PG One.......but netizens are SO anti her that she's been told if she even TRIES to form a couple with him it will completely destroy BOTH their careers totally, so he's refused.....I guess we'll have to see.. Yeah, I don't think he's dating yet - he REALLY loved her from all accounts, so he's pretty heartbroken. But yeah, I hope he finds someone better, I also hope he got custody. I feel the same about this, which makes me sad for the rest of the cast - however, she shouldn't be allowed to prosper by being unfaithful. I'm glad I was able to help, I LOVE helping! :D

Yes, she is nasty - she's a cheater. She cheated on her husband with a younger guy (rapper PG ONE) and they're now divorced. It was a HUGE scandal in china when the story broke. Her husband is a really nice guy too, AND they a family. One thing people loathe is cheaters - gender is immaterial, if they cheat they're done. But she must still have friends in the industry to be getting lead roles like this. Shame for the rest of the cast no one will watch it tho. Hope this helps.

DEFINITELY skip it. Unless you want to suddenly start muttering curse words days after it finishes.....it's one of those dramas that ONLY sticks with you BECAUSE it's THAT annoying at the end.

Try wattpad, there's a lot chinese novels on there that people have translated, including Round trip to Love and Uncontrolled Love.

It's on their respective Imdb pages as well with series having a 2020 on those as well. But I agree - I actually read it was a lifetime ban. Not sure what's going on with the censors/government, but I can only guess it's nothing good. i would prefer no second season given how the censors wanted it to end before it was banned.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up - but there's a hint of a second season....on Imdb it's labelled as 'Shang Yin' and has a season 2 indicated for 2020. NOT sure it will happen and I kind of don't want it to be true because we all know the censors and Chinese government WON'T let it have a happy ending. The closest we MIGHT get is a bromance ending....which I DOUBT given how the censors wanted it to end on a season 2 the first time round AND how the first season was obviously a gay relationship. Anyone else have any views about this? How you think it might end IF there's a season 2?

Happy or sad ending?

I agree - I think the people of China are just being forced to follow a regime down a pretty scary path towards one section of their society. China's not the only country either. Arabic countries are worse with their own LGBT+ community. Women also suffer immeasurably there.

Case in point for China with the censors lack of tolerance - Johnny Huang of Addicted (aka Heroin) fame. On his Imdb page there is ZERO mention of that drama. It's like it's been erased from his life. Same goes for Timmy Xu's page . Just so sad that they can't even leave it on their resume for the Western entertainment industry. It's not like they don't know they made that drama!

Still, they make the 'bromance' dramas and YouTubers make the 'edits' that put across the real story from the original books! LOL! I love that people find a way around it.

I wish nothing but good luck to the Chinese people and a hope that one day they get the democracy and freedom they really deserve. I still vividly remember that young man in Tienanmen Square. He was, and always will be, my hero.

Yup, that was my take away from it all too. I was actually glad they broke up. She was so sweet; nice and kind with a big heart - she certainly deserved better than him.

Oh yeah, I'm 55 now and it was 32 years ago for me (though it did take me a LONG time to get past a lot of it). I'm married to a wonderful man and have a kind and caring daughter. I'm VERY lucky and count my blessings. :)

So this is basically a Chinese version of the wonderful Korean drama 'Falling for Innocence'? I'll definitely give it a look - that drama was so good that I bought the (subbed) dvd!
