I agree with you. There are much more shows internationally which adress male alcoholism than female. The public gaze only shifted in recent years towards female alcoholics... especially the functioning kind. In SK I think adressing this issue is still new. In this show there's not only the FL who is addicted to alcohol. It's basically her whole family as well as the doctor himself. He seems to be sober though. In most kdramas the story is portrayed through the FLs point of view... especially in romances... so I wouldn't say it's sexist that she's the main alcoholic here.

Seriously... I love everything about this show. The Yumi Cells reference was great as well as the fact that the FL is a Basketball pro and last but not least the hilarious epilogues with their meta references. It's also a plus that I like all the characters flaws and all.

You are spot on here. I live in germany and here it's booze too. But daydrinking and drinking after work isvvery much frowned upon here. Still alcohol is the most socially aproved drug here.

What a great drama. I loved everything about it. It was a compelling story with great acting, beautifully shot and a fantastic score. Best kdrana if 2025 for me.

The first three episodes felt very fast paced which was welcome. I think they went for a "Lovely runner" vibe. The leads acting is okay. It's meant to be over the top. The ML isn't convincing in every scene but in most of them. It's a nice little drama with great music. I like it so far.

Rewatching this right now and this couple is still one of ny favourites. The last arc with the childhood connection and the fire still feels a bit much and draggs the story unnecessaryly.
But everything else is great. I would love to see a thriller romcom like this again.

I think networks need a bit more diversity storywise. It's like copy and paste atm.
Of course this may be good but ...well... after WHC and Study group and Undercover High school this looks redundant.

I really like this show. Not every joke is to my taste but many are. Especially the epilogues and the gym song were faboulous. I love the message of the whole thing too. The lead actors are great. It's the fourth drama of LJY this year and he slays in all of them.

The epilogue of episode 2 was hilarious.
I also laughed about her dress. I still think that the pacing is off a bit. The part were she trained could have been more fleshed out. But episode 2 was definetily better that the pilot.

It's a bit early to give a proper opinion. The first episode felt a bit uneven in parts and I'm not a fan of screaming for laughs. But I think I like the direction this is heading. The comedy borders on Slapstick which is not my fave but the whole obvious bodysuit-thing which should be obvious IMO made me laugh. I also really like the actors, so I'll give this a chance.
It's good for South Korea that they adress bidy image as well as drinking in their recent dramas.

I don't think a female character is necessary just for the sake of it. It was just an observation. There are stories were it's the other way round.

Yes. But not this year. Out of the three shows he is featured, he hasn't been the mail lead although he belonged to the main cast. I mean, this time the show is his story and not the one of another protagonist who gets more screentime.

I really loved S2. The entire cast was amazing.
But LJY and PJH were scene stealers.
Funny that except for the mother there wasn't a single female in the story.

I am looking forward to this. Lee Jun Young never dissapoints. But finally a kdrama where he's the main character.

I think that she did well in Our beloved summer and The witch. I loved both dramas. IMO she just didn't pick the best scripts except for these two dramas. Her acting is good, but sometimes a but stiff. I have to admit that there are better talents in her age group. But she's young and can improve.

Ich fühlte mich nicht direkt angesprochen. Ich war nur neugierig, wenn du für ebenbürtig hälst. Für mein Empfinden gatte sie schon einige gut aussehende Partner, z.B Lee Jae Wook oder Seo In Guk. Natürlich darf jeder seinen eigenen Geschmack haben. Alles gut.
