You have a point. I enjoy it though. It's reminding me of many Sandra Bullock movies from the 90ies and 00ies.
But you shoukd try "One spring night" which was better in that regard. There the women are presented strong on their own.

I like them a lot too. And I was glued to the screen when he tried to rescue her in the most reckless and fairytalelike way. Lol

I haven't watched that one yet. It's not on any legal streaming service in my region unfortunately.

I have lots of fun with this too. It's fresh and the story is unpredictable. LMHs character is a bit reckless but otherwise there wouldn't be a story. The drama aims at beeing ridiculous.

I agree. Even if his actual relationship isn´t as messy as it is presented here, feelings for others can happen. That´s life. If he end his relationship before he acts on his feelings that´s the fairest he can be. There´s no guarantee for any relationship.

By kdrama rules he should know but the writing is pretty inconsistent about it. There were hints that pointed in different directions.

There's literally nothing you can do when you fall for someone. You can only control if and how you act on it.

I thought the same. He's really an inconsistent written character cause this seemed too big of a failure for someone who earns his money by bringing life into this world instead if risking it. I'm still enjoying the show. Especially Oh Jung Se. He's so aloof. Lol

I saw dozens of similar plots and if he knows the writing could have been better. The whole thing with the scar mentioned by the crown prince and his whole facial expression didn't make it clear that he knows. In other dramas they did this better.
I hope you're right though. But maybe they went for "dumb prince". ...just kidding.
Overall I enjoy this drama.

Yes!!! It's really akward but seems to be common in kdramas. It was extreme in "Descendants of the sun" and a big reason I didn't care for the FL.

I hope Kim Do Woon gets a chance to flex his acting chops. He was great in "Moving".

He was great in "Are you human too?" playing an assistant as well. I also like the antihero he played in "Vigilante".

I agree that it is a relationship out of convenience. But for me a toxic relationship is when the partners hurt each other all the time. The relationship here seems like they just went unto it because they needed each other at the time. It's not ideal and bound to end but it's not necessarily toxic. I don't know how to explain it better. Sorry.

I meant that no character who is in a relationship in episode one seems to be with the partner of his or her dreams. I guess we will see some breakups instead of cheating.
