Impossible? Could be, though I think the chance is there even if it's slim. Ofc the probability is low for AR to consciously choose bearing MZ child, but with MZ playing a trick, who knows? As long as he doesn't rape her. Unsurprising maybe as this is MZ, but all hell's gonna break loose if the writer goes this way.
At this point, I feel the same because the actual ML hasn't done much. I also think he loves her but not in a…
MC can't stay clueless, helpless or "pure" all the time if he wants to protect the AR. He doesn't necessarily need to play dirty against his brother but at least he should play smart. Wondering if we'll see it soon. The only love/compassion that I'd like to see in MZ is toward his child(ren). How I wished to see him make his concubine pay in the cruelest way, but too bad it didn't happen.
If the poster didn't have Chuan on it, I would swear Ze is the ML. I've always thought he loved her, but he also…
Interesting point about MZ letting AR go. If this is the case, then we can also speculate that MZ should've been reborn too. He has to realize his fate, no? Should MZ rebirth be true, then both he & AR are scheming toward each other though they know their own past life. I wonder if this is the course that the writer will take/is taking. Fascinating.
Mu Ze has become soft. I am beginning to worry that the series is not going to be as exciting as it had been since…
I haven't watched the latest eps but I do hope that MZ stays true to his original character. Though his change to be a loving man might draw some of us in but his manipulative & twisted mind is what makes him interesting throughout the show.
PS: If MZ ever changes, I hope it's because he loves his son/daughter (from AR & concubine Xiao)
This show is getting dark and angsty but once you start you can't stop. The biggest turn off is still the subs.π€…
In this second life, she tried to run away from MZ but all her plans failed. She got pushed back into his arms again. So, marrying him is a fate. She also had done everything she could to protect her family & business. For now it temporarily worked, but if she become MZ wife, the life of her family including her child & MC might end up the same as before. This may be a fate too........ or maybe not.
The only major irrevocable change happening in the present life is the death of XR & Mr. Cui. We don't know if their death has significance to the course of AR second life or not. If it's not important does it mean in the first life they are fated to die early as well?
So, all these pondering lead me to the question, what triggers AR "time reset/rebirth"? One thing for sure, she shouldn't die previously. If she discovers what should stay the same and what should change, she might be able to find the way out to her problem.
PS: I'm assuming in the first life MZ shouldn't become a king or MC shouldn't die.
This show is getting dark and angsty but once you start you can't stop. The biggest turn off is still the subs.π€ So frustrating. I pray to all subtitle deities to help this show. Please, give us a decent subs. Pretty please.
Anyway, after the latest eps, I start to wonder what fate that AR has to accept? She marrying MZ? She losing her family & friends? Or is there something else that she's FATED to do (or not to do) in the first life?
Hmmmm so it looks like sheβs still not resigned to her fate and she is still planning to make Mu Ze pay for…
Resigned to her fate means she would end up like her previous life, no? MZ would still use her & people around her. Concubine Xiao would kill her child esp as she's now the first wife.
Can someone share the story of Episode 19, please?
Basically, AR avoided MZ trap to marry her by giving the family token to the king so the king is in control of Lu fam business. The king also released AR father but he ordered AR to leave MC. Then, she encountered her past self (wearing red dress at the end of ep 3) & from their conversation she realized that she couldn't run away from MZ because what is fated will eventually happens. So, she met MC and spent the day with him. She had planned that it was the last time they would be together.
Seriously curious tho, how does he show his "care" for AR?I'm watching this but all I can get from him is red…
The reason why I beg to differ is below but it doesn't mean I don't respect your view. You see he has this caring trait though low bar, I see him as no caring person at all because he always has an agenda. No hard feeling.
MZ doesn't like to dance to other people's tune, in fact it should be the reverse. He controls the people, not the way around. He already marked her & nobody could/should harm her unless it's himself i.e he framed AR when they were in that city hit by disaster, he let the general torture her & sent her to jail just because he was suspicious AR outsmarted him in the bride-switch incident. If AR didn't dispel his sus & insist that she's still useful to him, MZ would let her die there. When MZ confronted XR to reveal where AR was, he even admitted that he should be the one to decide whatever happened to AR, not XR. That's why he wants to save her as she is important to his plan.
And I think MZ also has a reason to wait 3 years to take in the concubine in the first life. I agree he considers AR feeling but not because he truly cares for her. It's more like he didn't want to ruffle her feathers. Besides AR power over Lu's fam business, MZ married AR for her knowledge abt battleship too. And it took time to make one as well as hand over the control of the waterways to him so imo he wouldn't take the chance to marry the concubine earlier. Had there been an internal conflict between his wives, his plan would be disrupted.
I have to admit that his manipulative streak makes MZ an interesting character & the actor nails it. And I do hope that he'll be consistent throughout the show.
LBFAD is shorter and has the right pace (a little bit unsatisfactory at the end but at least they'll give us epilogues).…
Even if they only give ONE 15-minute epilogue, I'd be ecstatic. My dissatisfaction with LBFAD ending is very minor, just wanna see more scenes with our Moon couple after they get back together. Two epilogues are more than what I'm hope for.
I've started Big Mouth & Lost Track of Time & they are so different from LBFAD so I get hooked, though I still watch clips of XLH & DFQC everyday too. Geez, can't believe I have a packed schedule of drama watching. π€£π€£π€£
PS: Still recommend LLTG & AOS too, maybe later after you recover from LBFAD withdrawal π

I really wish both AR & MC can outwit MZ.
It's the worst luck for a girl to meet someone like MZ indeed.

I'm watching this but all I can get from him is red flags.
I even think that he's capable of killing his younger brother if AR & MC get married now. π
