I think they tried really hard to change MZ and ditch his characteristics so he has "a romantic feeling". It's wasteful, imo. They should keep on highlighting him being scheming. In fact, his cunning, manipulative way is already justified due to his family background so the audience could see that he's not really cold-blooded. He is someone who has "a heart", and we can sympathize with him, though we realize he's full of flaw.

Yes. What's the point of making AR go back to the past if the reason is not clear. They should fill the plot holes in the second half but unfortunately they didn't. From the moment MZ forced AR to marry him again even after AR had given the control of Lu family business to the emperor, I think, the story went awry.

As much as I like this show, I have to admit that the good part is the first half. The second half, imo, is made in rush just to give an ending. The biggest issue is I still don't know what triggers AR to have the time reset/jump to the past. It's still a mystery for me. Was it explained? or was it get lost in translation?
Another issue is, the main idea that what is fated will eventually happen (can't be changed) is not consistent too. Some things stay the same but some others change. why is it so?

And MZ arc... Why oh writer why? He's playing victim like when asking AR of why she hates him makes me roll my eyes. Did he suddenly have amnesia of all the threats/schemes he had toward AR? He seems to instantly turn a new leaf to become good guy.

Yes. Still have mistranslated pronouns & words but it's less occuring now.

Yes. AR confessed that she is Miss Wang in the shadow puppet story so MC realized that everything she did/does is to prevent the tragic ending of her family & friend (incl MC himself).

It's the subtitle. I guess what MZ mean is the main house, not the palace. AR lives in backyard hall detached from the others. MZ wanted to show that AR is the mistress of the house & no one could hurt her that's why in ep 27 MZ took AR to the main house where XJQ was holding a ritual to her brother.

Not really. The leads love each other but you won't see them kissing.

Finally. A decent subtitle in weTV, way better than before.

And one of the reasons why AOS has 40+k comments is due to FL-change controversy. Lol. I can still remember those days when this section exploded with ' "everyone's" take (incl mine ofc) on the rumor of second season & JSM won't be joining it. What a memory. How I miss those days. Lol.

When she was "reborn" (I think it's more like a time reset), she went back to the past - 10 years ago before meeting MZ - with all her memories of first life intact. Nothing has been offered (up to ep 24) as explanation of how this happens because it's not the focus of this show.

Is it satisfying? No. But I'm not downright disappointed either. Maybe because I've already pictured some scenes as the ending-in-my-imagination after watching the last episode. Lol.

Ikr. Both of them are evil. But, the way this show portraying MZ as the most manipulative guy takes his evilness to the next level compared to Prince Yi.

The sub makes me confused as I might miss some details. Did MZ arrange something in the background so Prince Yi went on the farmers-killing spree & took their lands?

Not yet. At this point I give up the hope of accurate subs. I watch it on WeTV & it's generally ok.

Ep 1-3, the FL was in love with Mu Ze because in her previous life she didn't know that Mu Ze used her & her family to gain power. After ep. 4 she stopped believing in him & fell in love with his brother, Mu Chuan.

Wow, that's extreme but understandable considering what happens to her son in the past. Can't blame her for that.
