Funny how the parents are only 10 yrs older than the “child” lol funny casting. I was enjoying the typical cdrama vibe of this show, and the usual nonsense trip they take us on. Its an honest to goodness relief after a handful of serious heavy kdramas. Like. cdrama is a sweet relief of trope heaven, and I’m here for all of it. But oh for goodness sakes did the writing get turned over to a middle schooler because this went off the rails. Can we not have obsessed “relative” thats been in a sibling relationship suddenly turn delulu and obsess about romantic relationship with her “brother”?!?! I mean blood relatives they might not be but if they grew up siblings thats just all kinds of nasty and I’m sorry why was literally no one but me calling it out. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
What to say? A cute drama with great actors leading the show, sadly however the writing is not up to par at all. And I so badly wanted that second couple to pull it off but there was zero chemistry, frozen fish kissing and lacked all the passion he gave when chasing FL. Like sorry that was a total flop on the writing and directing. Ji Jin Hee will always be my favorite Korean President tho ✌🏼🤣
Best I can give those is 7/10. I mean big brother liking an identical lookalike to his sister is yuck as ever, but he’s a good guy and we have to somehow put it in its place in dramaland. This is a highly skippable show as the story really slows and drags through much of the central parts. The final few episodes are a hot mess. Explanations of the past, while helpful would have been better sprinkled throughout the series. Its more a case of poor scriptwriting that could have paced the plot much better. As the story progressed I lost most my empathy for the FL, who started out like a QUEEN, and gradually became nonsensical. I really hated her decision towards the end and for someone that hates lying ML sure gets over a mammoth of a lie in the last part really quickly. Overall you just have to take this with a pinch of salt. Its a 2010’s era drama. An interesting watch, but certainly not one I’ll ever give my time to watch again. More likely forgettable. As enjoyable as the oldies are, they give all the tacky soap opera vibes and this is right up that street. Fraud of the Century would have been a better title lol.
So glad thats over. Major disappointment. WZQ is so good in his other dramas. He tried but ZYX wasn’t a good casting match. And the script? Like what was that at times. 🤦🏼♀️
This show should be called “She’s Never Gonna Love Me” oh geez this one started out feeling a 9 or 10 star drama. Then skidded to a halt for 25 episodes and rushed it at the end. So it’s a 7 for me. Really, why? Come on!!!!
What is everyone drinking here in these comments? Did you forgive what the writers gave us for 35 episodes? That the FL was written to be so unlikable? Are you all teenagers??? lol
Good grief obvs non of you hung out in viki comments cos that was a riot and everyone seemed as ticked off as me.
Oh well. If being played is how you like your shows so be it. This show had some real potential. Sure go at that pace if you like. I love slice of life dramas, but could have cut out a chunk in the middle, still had it develop the same way and give us a much more satisfying ending, not as rushed and more feel good. Like could we have had a scene with them on the beach at night, or something where they could have vocally shared their feelings in a less angry, provoking and frustrated way. It was clear they were meant to be together from very early on, but the way this was executed was seriously disappointing. This could have been a solid 10 star drama, however, having FL pine for the friend for almost the entire show, constantly hurt the ML feelings because of her childish delulu crush.. and then give up on him after 5 min was seriously ridiculous. We needed much more resolution time after dragging that to its death than a final LITERALLY 10 minutes of a 36 episode drama.
If you love so many flashbacks you don’t know whether you’re in a flashback right now, you can have a role in Fox’s Summer.
Oh man. No story so give the viewers more flashbacks than the world ever wanted, just to save yourself writing an ACTUAL show, with any kind of plot. lol
I endured season 1. It was ridiculous and stupid and I didn’t care. Then it went straight down the hill in season 2. Like for reals? Fl is completely unreasonable and inane, and the old hag of a granny can’t disappear fast enough. Guys I couldn’t do it any more.
Can tell by the reviews theres some real salty people over here! Is it REALLY that bad?!?! Almost making me watch it to see if its really only worth a 1.
Glad to hear there’s more cos that was an odd way to end a drama 🤣🤣 I have to say this almost felt Taiwanese- it was certainly a little tacky and oddball and what on earth were they thinking with that soundtrack?? It’s so extra and weird and extremely annoying!!! Lets see where season 2 takes us. I hope better than this lol!!
Great show. Worth the watch. Missing a little on the romance/intimacy sadly. They did great at building tension but then scenes ended when a sneaky kiss would have been the icing on the cake in the moment.
Missed the mark somehow in this office drama with a side plot of the gaming industry. Chemistry was off and the writing was childish in too many parts. I love a good romance cdrama for all the reasons they differ from the serious kdramas. However, this one just pushed the tolerance for me. ML is an idiot for too many episodes and the FL is ridiculous. A real shame. You’ll watch it and have to take some things with a pinch of salt. Likely you’ll need to skip it a bit in parts. Overall, watchable but forgettable.
Please stop giving this FL romance scripts. Frozen lip kisses from start to finish are awful, and this is how she acts. Give her a crime drama. She’d be awesome. It ruins romance shows when it’s unrealistic. This show starts to drag in the 20’s - if this was a little tighter in storyline this would have been one of my faves. Sadly though it got just a little too silly with cliches, and geez lets reign in the writing of delulu obsessive side characters. This one takes the cake!!!
I always wonder why everyone freaks out about Chinese “propaganda”!!! I mean its a chinese show why can’t they?!?! American shows and programming are packed full of it. Its seriously funny when I see the mocking comments.
What a toxic mess. Was hoping for a great oldie that would give bof vibe but where Ml has a massive growth arc. Instead what seems clear is he is somewhere on the spectrum, because he seems to have zero comprehension for feelings and understanding relationship dynamics etc. He is cold yes, but the way this character is written is a whole other level. The FL constantly chases and apologizes the entire time its exhausting. The only time he seems to “wake up” to the fact he is possibly interested is when she is in danger, hurt or with another guy. The minute thats over he reverts to weird rude and odd behavior. This barely tries to redeem him in the last episode, but this is a big no for me and a major disappointment. I love the dramas from this era for all the quirky, fashion hairdos wacky personalities but this is not it.
OK. This one is a whole lotta weird. And very confusing at times. Theres way too much filler, and tangent from the plot. But, it’s fun, unique and will keep you watching. Lomon does great portraying his roles, the FL takes a while to achieve that, but there’s finally a growth arc albeit a little too far in, thats on the writers. Fun watch.
A nice romcom with two seasoned actors that delivered. This wasn’t off the charts amazing, but it was certainly an enjoyable watch. A little predictable perhaps but still one to watch. I enjoyed the messages that this show incorporated. Showcasing anxiety, depression, ptsd, loneliness, failure and the positives of working your way through it. Finding support was also clear and I enjoyed that part of it. Of course there were some silly kdrama things. Like you don’t hear a person talking from really far away, but you do in dramaland🤣It lacked a little in the chemistry department but thats ok, it was fine. Honestly I felt a little more invested in Dr Bin and Hongran’s love life- it was cute. I was glad that the issues at the beginning didn’t drag on for the entire show, and when will these drama FLs learn to NEVER get in the car with a bad guy?!?!?! I also have to say, will people quit going on about how two mature looking actors look more like teens now than they did playing teens? cos no, they don’t- they have taken care of their skin and looks obviously- but they look nothing like teens. They look their actual age and are beautiful for it. can we stop with the nonsense and start celebrating aging well.I’m giving this a solid 9/10. Cute show, fun cast and good story.
