Did we really watch the same drama? Exploiting her feelings towards? Did you not see what they did to him? They tortured him until he was half dead. They killed his family. It was an eye for an eye. I'm not saying he's right for what he did, but he had his reasons. What was theirs? Oh yeah, they hated that he was human and she loved him, so they tortured him and kill his people and his family. So, yeah. They did do him dirty.

I will died alone on this hill.

My 2026 resolution is to stay away from dramas that have the word Glory in it, because past experiences has thought me that these dramas are anything but glorious.

Title The Unclouded Soul Spoiler
Okay, I've just completed this drama and I don't know whether to scream, cry or both. First off, Hong Ye couldn't catch a break. At one point, in the 10,000 years timeline, I was rooting for him to kill everyone. The three dragons that came close to end and told her not to be with him because of what he did. When they sent her back in time to "find out" what he did, I was scared. However, when I saw what they did to him, I didn't blame him for wanting all demons dead. The writers try to make it out like he betrayed her first 10,000 years ago, but all I saw was him being done dirty. He couldn't catch a break even at the end. After all he's been through, you'd think they'd give him a happy ending.

And don't even get me started on Bing Zhu. He went from being a self righteous demon hunter, hunting all demons because of how his sister died, to becoming a demon himself. And WTF ending was that? His sister taking over the body of the woman he had romantic feelings for. Talk about weird. Also, I feel let down because I wanted the emperor to be unalive is the worst way possible. A lot of people in the drama didn't die the way I wanted them to.

I want to suggest Shine on me. A romance by the master romance screen writer Gu Man, who wrote You are my glory…
I really enjoyed this as well. Their romance was a slow build up, but it was worth it. Stupid SML missed his chance and is upset that the FL pretended to be dating the ML when he had the SFL stuck to him like used gum on the bottom of a shoe.

OMG so much complaining what dramas are you talking about on the list? Name them or just stop complaining, if…
Well said. I am open to debating what this list is about as long as everyone opinions is respected and no one insults or be rude to anyone. At the end of the day, only the person who created this list really knows what the list is truly about. We can all speculate and give our opinions, but we will never really know unless the creator tells us.

As I said in my first comment, I love this list and I'm grateful to the person who created it. I don't understand why DramaKC123 felt like I was personally attacking them. I don't understand why this person was rude with their comment. They could have debated with me like you did and we could have both moved on from this. Anyway, I think this comment drama is taking up way too much of my life. I'd like to move on from it now.

I like debating and I love to hear other people's opinions on what I agree or disagree with, but I like to do it in a respectful and healthy environment. However, some commenters as taking offense and making this space toxic. So, for that reason this will be my last comment on this matter.

Are you not also "trying to imply it means this and imply it means that"?

Why are you getting all hot and bothered over my comment? I made a comment based on my interpretation of this list. I never insulted anyone and I definitely wasn't rude. You could have responded by telling me what your own interpretation of this list is and we could have been done with this. However, you instead decided to get offended on behalf of god know who and attack me.

We are allow to have debates, are we not? I never said that the person who created the list should stop. I said that I love this and I'm grateful to the person who created it. I wasn't bashing the person who created this list or the list itself. I was talking about some of the recommendations that are being added. The individuals who created this list is trusting these recommendations and adding them to the lists for others to enjoy. I was just asking that people recommend dramas that truly fit the list. If you disagreed with me, you could have said so without being rude and saying "if you don't like the list don't come back to it no one is forcing you."

I have made recommendations on other lists before and have been corrected. I have also disagreed when others have said that a certain drama does belong on a certain list. However, I was never rude with my reply.

I agree! There are a few dramas in this list with actual break ups, or what could be worse... dramas without romance,…
This I would not have a problem with. My issue from the beginning are dramas with little to no romance but the leads somehow get together in the end. If I'm watching a drama, and the couple have great working and romantic chemistry and you can clearly see and feel it, and the only get together at the end, I don't mind.

THANK YOU!!! At least someone gets it. I'm tried of trying to defend my comment. There are many dramas on this list that hardly have any romance. However, at the very end the writers are trying to convince me that the leads are somehow in love, or decides to get married. If romance is a side plot in the drama, I don't usually care if the leads get together or not because I wasn't watching for romance in the first place.

Please go and read my response to DramaKC123. Because I think both of you misunderstood what I was trying to say. There are dramas on this list that are not romance. THAT IS MY ISSUE. There are dramas on this list with official breakups. THAT IS MY ISSUE. It has nothing to do with the couple having intense, burning chemistry, but only getting together in the later episodes. I prefer a slow born romance than couples getting together too early.

There are lost of dramas on this list that I don't like and most of them are dramas with romance, but they belong on this list. My issue is not with how long it takes the main leads to fall in love and become a couple. My issue is the main leads not becoming a couple at all because throughout the entire drama all they did was smile at each other lovingly. Or the main leads suddenly becoming a couple the last five minutes of the drama after barely showing any romantic interest in each other throughout the drama. Yeah, they might have worked really well together fighting villains or crime, but they barely show any romantic interest in each other until the very last episode. These are they dramas I don't think belong on this list.

I really think you missed the point of what I was trying to say. I’m not “complaining,” I’m clarifying scope. Lists exist for a reason. If everything qualifies, then the list is meaningless.

Yes, people can have different interpretations of romance, and that’s exactly why genre labels matter. When someone says they want romance with no breakups, most viewers reasonably expect an actual romantic relationship, not “vibes,” not “friendship chemistry,” not “they smiled softly in the final five minutes.”

Romance absolutely can be many things. However, friendship with longing subtext is still friendship. A slow burn that never ignites until the credits roll is still not what many of us come to a romance list for. That’s not gatekeeping; that’s basic categorisation. I also never said that the leads had to get together early. I just said that, they can't be considered a couple if they never got together. This list is meant for couples, not friends and partners.

No one is saying these dramas are bad. I’m saying they belong on a different list. Wanting accuracy isn’t selfish, and pointing out category drift isn’t an attack on anyone’s taste.

This list isn't just for "No breakups or misunderstandings" It is a list for couples with no breakups or misunderstandings. Keyword being "COUPLES" And before you say that this is not a romance list, kindly scroll up and read the description.

This list doesn’t need to serve everyone. It just needs to serve the purpose it claims to have. If people want to recommend “technically not romance but.....,” there are plenty of threads for that. This just isn’t one of them.

P.S. If others can recommend non-romance dramas for this list, I can voice my opinion about not liking them.

Some of the dramas you asked me to list. Chief Detective 1958, Doctor Ghost, Hello Monster, Behind your touch, Mobius and Resident playbook. These dramas are really great and I enjoyed them, but they don't belong on this list. If you want me to list the ones with the breakups, I can too.

Okay, I love this list. I really do. I'm very grateful to individual who created this list. However, can people stop recommending dramas that does not contain romance for this list. Those dramas should be on a list of their own. I don't want to read another, "Hear me out. This drama doesn't really have any romance, and the main leads didn't get together until the very last minute of the very last episode, but the storyline is good and their chemistry is great." Please, I don't care if their chemistry is great if they are not a couple, when all I want to do is watch romance without breakup.

I came here for great romance not great friendship. If I want to watch friendship dramas, I will go to the list that have those. This list is getting tainted everyday. We have non romance dramas with the leads just smiling at each other lovingly at the end, and dramas with breakups that the viewers refused to acknowledge as a breakup just because one of the leads didn't accept it.

Can we please only recommend dramas that truly belong on this list.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I agree with you! A break up doesn't need the word break up, or even…
I totally agree with you. The comments that say "she wanted to break up, but he never agreed" really piss me off. My best friend was a victim of harassment by her ex who refuse to accept that their relationship was over. I'm tried of commenting that it doesn't take two to break up. However, I guess because it's a drama people tend to accept it as normal. But we need to stop normalising it because young people are going to think it's normal to harass their ex because the ML/FL did it in a drama and everyone found it romantic.

Commented this exact thing pretty much below under someone's fight for love suggestion and yet it still got added…
I'm not so sure I trust this list anymore. The person who created the list is doing an amazing job, but many dramas on this list do have break ups. I've seen people recommending drama and saying it wasn't a break up because the guy/girl kept pursuing the other person. Uh, excuse me? Yes, it is a break up. In reality, if a person decides to break up with their boyfriend/girlfriend and the other person still persist and kept telling them they don't agree with the break up, they would be reported to the police for harassment or stalking.

I really hate reading comments with people saying it wasn't really a break up because one person didn't agree or accept it. It does not take two people to break up. Only one person need to end the relationship for it to be over.

It is really sad because I use to love this list, but now I don't trust the dramas on here anymore.

I don't know who recommended that Fight for Love be added to this list, but I was really disappointed when the leads did have a separation. I can't remember which episode it was, but it was after the storyteller wrote the novel about them exposing their relationship, the FL called it quits with the ML. She told him that they should go back to being in-laws to which he agreed. It was many episodes after that the FL decided to accept him again and stay no matter what others say.

Just because they didn't say lets break up doesn't meant it didn't happen. There is definitely a break up even if they didn't mention it. The FL telling the ML that she just wants to be his sister-in-law definitely constitutes as a break up. She even told the SML that she didn't want to love or be in a relationship with anyone. When the ML asked her if she meant it, that's when she told him that she just want them to be in-laws again. They still loved each other, but the FL didn't want to take the chance because of how her family was being attacked.

in my opinion, Fight for Love should be a special mention, but it doesn't belong on this list.

I'm sorry what is this lack of romance I'm hearing for a drama titled fight for LOVE????
I think it's more love of the people or love for the country, not a romantic love.
On Fight for Love Dec 18, 2025
I really enjoyed this drama. However, something was missing. I don't know, but I feel like the intense love that the drama was trying to portray fell short because the leads had zero chemistry. The princess stole the show for me. She was the reason I kept watching the last few episodes.

If you are going according to mydramalist main leads, then no. If you are going according to the novel mean leads…
I understand. However, not everyone knows the story background. Some just come onto MDL to check who are going to be the leads of the drama. I give the answer I did because I didn't want the person asking to be disappointed when they start the drama and realise that the FL on MDL is not the same as the story. If you scroll down in the comment section you will see others complaining because Mu Yu Mo is not the lead when she is clearly listed as they lead on MDL.

MDL does not only do their casting list based on the actors billing. They also do it according to how important they are to the storyline. Mu Yu Mo was an important character, but if she was removed from the story it would not make a big different, mostly because she didn't have that much screen time to begin with. Bai He Huai is a far more important character to the storyline. If she was removed they story would make no sense.

I don't want to start a back and forth discussion over this. I just answered the commenter they way I did to save them from being disappointed.
