I believe you need to read my comment again. Because at no point did i call eun woo just another pretty face. And yes, there are several comments saying they came for the hot priest. Also several mvs on social media clearly shipping miho and johan.
Its not just the one eun woo fan. And did i, or did i not write some not all fans?
The fact that you got so triggered means maybe there's more truth to what i wrote because if not, why would you be so offended? It's simple. If you are not among those who came simply for good looks, why so triggered? It isn't directed at you, move on ahead

And i only responded to what you already mentioned in your comment about van getting weaker and the reason behind it. If you want to take offence, go ahead.

SOME eun woo fans (not all) are really annoying here. They aren't even specifying the reason for not enjoying the drama! Just filling the comment section with negativity. Look, if it was:
1) because you guys were expecting something along the lines of true beauty or my ID is gangnam with a love line between him and mi ho, im sorry but the drama had always been promoted as fantasy, action, thriller.

2) or because you were expecting eun woo's character to have a bigger role or be the main lead, then look. Eun woo is relatively new actor. Why would he be main lead over kim nam gil?? Plus everyone knew that kim nam gil was going to be the focus.

Its fine to watch a show simply because your fave is in it. But eun woo is at this point nowhere near as good as actors like kim nam gil that people come simply for his acting. Who are you kidding yourselves, you guys came because he's pretty to look at, not for his acting.
You are not doing him favours by doing this. Hes working hard to accept different roles. Stop making him out to be just a pretty face. If you came just for that, stick to kpop

That there is your reason right there. When you come to watch a show for a good-looking face, why on earth would you enjoy the drama?
Seriously, some eunwoo fans are funny....why invest time inna drama if you aren't here for the plot?

I dont understand why people dont admit that they didnt get something because they weren't paying attention, rather than blaming the plot.
Van is more human when he's around mi ho because when he's with her, he craves his humanity. Which makes him weak (according to gungtan). While gungtan has no qualms about embracing the darkness within.
Like how freaking complicated is that?? I don't know maybe i read a lot of novels from the fantasy genre but this isna pretty straightforward plot and a very well executed one at that

I don't understand the comments that say this is boring or slow placed.
So just because it has only 6 episodes, it should be fast paced with no world building at all? I like how the show progressed. I like how they took time to develop each character and yet did not slow down the pace. I haven't read the webtoon so i cant comment on how true it is to the source material. But in terms of acting, plot, background score and action sequences, this drama is right up my alley and im enjoying every moment of it.

They better give mi ho and van a happy ending!! I will riot if it doesnt happen
Seriously, there's been enough sadness in the world, lets atleast have happy endings in the drama world

I didnt expect to like this let alone love since i heard it was from the same director as Vincenzo which i was not a fan of, but the screenwriter makes a hell of a difference and this is a really well written drama. Sincerely hoping for another season, just so i can see more of oh in joo, choi do il and oh in kyung

I watched with you last year and that atleast ended with the two leads reuniting at the end. I wish the makers could have done the same for when we were young. Just showed the two of meeting again. I mean i know for sure that yang xi and hus biao will meet again. And probably only a year or two later but i wish we could have seen it. Their chemistry was amaaazing. There was simply no chance of sls.

Funny thing is, i just finished when we were young and was looking for recs and this showed up. But i dont think any drama can make me get over it :'( i just i just wish the makers would make season 2 like they keep hinting. Or even just a movie so that we can see yang xi and hua biao one more time

I personally don't think the drama has a sad ending. There are so many dramas where the leads separate for a while after highschool but then find each other again. Like our secret, with you and go ahead. Just because this drama stopped at a point where they went their different ways does not mean their paths wont meet again. I believe they will meet again though it may take a year or two.
However i would love it if the director could make that season 2

Forget run on, people should watch her in tell me what you saw. That was the drama that convinced me that she can act and very well at that.
Plus people forget that the transition from idol to actress is challenging. And i say actress because ive noted that male idols dont face that kind of problem. Example would be cha eun woo in true beauty and my id is gangnam. Yoona to this day gets similar comments all because of her acting in K2. People don't understand that the first project does not necessarily reflect an actor's true skill. Suzy is another example. But look at her now. IU was absolutely bullied when she was in scarlet hearts. Look at her now. People just need to give room for these idols turned actresses to grow and exhibit their skills.

I disagree that sound of magic is juvenile. Im in my late 20s and i think it's something adults would understand at a more deeper level than children or teens. Because don't all of us miss our childhood sometimes? It's like peter pan or Alice in the wonderland. Which are nice bedtime stories when you are young. But when older, you realise the hidden depth in them

Ji chang wook has had a long and fruitful career. Every actor has 3 or 4 projects that don't do well. Calling them a flop because of that makes it seem like MDL has been taken over by people with childish mindset. What actor has a perfect career? Melting me softly, backstreet rookie and lovestruck in the city were him trying to do different things. Yes i too have been waiting for him to pick up a script that is more to my liking but that doesn't mean he's only going to be a great actor when he dishes out blockbusters. We cant judge an actor based on hits alone.
Take lee joongi for example. He continues to fly under the radar for the mainstream media and despite having had so many successful projects. Because mainstream media prefers a certain type of actor. The success of nonsensical drama like a business proposal over more deserving thought provoking dramas proves that.

And i think its pretty much the general consensus that ji chang wook had been disappointing with his more recent scripts. But this drama brought back exactly why i like him and his acting. He should play such characters more.
The mysterious, alluring, mischievous kind. He does so well.

Is it weird that despite the age difference between them, i ship the magician and ah yi? They just have this natural chemistry. I was prepared to ship ah yi with only il deung but ji chang wook is literally stealing the spotlight with his character. The scenes of him with choi seung eun are so magical.
He could definitely play either legend or jacks from the YA fantasy series Caraval by stephanie garber.

I was hoping to see him as lead in something after watching Money Game! Finally!
