I agree. I had to take a looong break after this. Then i discovered ocn dramas and found some really good ones there too (like the guest, the uncanny counter) also the neighborhood in the show beyond evil reminded me of my mister

I dont think you can bring goblin into this since kim shin never knew eun tak when she was a child. He saved her mother yes but he never saw her until she was an adult so thats completely different. Plus i dont see people complaining about it when the genders are reversed. Like in hotel del luna.

This is great and all but i really hope that they announce a season 3 as well after this airs. Im far too emotionally invested in the original characters to be satisfied with a special episode. I need a season to properly conlude this wonderful series.

So basically an open ending lol :P why have kdramas started giving so many open endings when they rarely make a season 2? Thankyou though!

Can someone explain what the second round judicial exam is? I thought maybe the show would explain it the way they explain everything else regarding law to those of us who are not lawyers or law students. But this is the one i dont understand

Thing is, you didnt comment with any constructive criticism. All you said was "i dont understand the hype, nothing extraordinary ".
Thats just rude. There are so many people who worked hard to made this show and you dismiss all of their hard work like that. Criticize the acting , the plot or whatever but there's a way to go about without coming across as mean.

I dont think law school is undergrad program. So most of them got admission here after graduating from other colleges, like seungjae. He came here after med school. Plus universities do tend to people of varying ages since people sometimes take gap years to earn the tuition fee etc

Am i possibly the only one here who is hoping that prof kim is not a surprise villain? I mean her character is so badass, so just, so loyal to her friends and colleagues. She's upright and strong. I really hope the makers dont plan on making a villain out of her. She's my favourite after Yangcrates. I really dont understand why the viewers want her to be a villain. I mean how often do we get a character like her?

Agreed. I hate how people come here in the comment section just to ask "whats so special about this" or even "this is overrated". Tge reason why people are watching it is because they like it. If someone does not think its good, just move on.

Its not mainstream popular like for example doom at your service but its doing well still. Ratings are good

I disagree. She has shown remarkable improvement. She does not have to change herself in order for you to see improvement. I like her the way she is, and she's doing well. Shes asking questions that probably go through the minds of several law students

Prof yang's case is ongoing. He hasn't been proven innocent or guilty. While lee manho is a proven rapist and organ trafficker. She's not a lawyer yet. Obviously She's going to ask these questions at this stage. There were things i didnt understand in medschool regarding ethics but now that im working as a doctor, i get why certain rules exist. Kang sol A also does not come from a background of lawyers and judges. Her decision to become a lawyer was impulsive. I think shes doing pretty well and prof yang sees the potential in her. In fact, as someone mentioned here, kang sol A and prof yang are pretty similar. Its just that prof yang has had years to hone his skill and emotions while sol A is still in the learning process. Not everyone has to fit into a certain mold of main FL where they are logical all the time and excel at everything. The characters in this show are doing a very good job of showing the struggles law students go through especially when they realize that they are going to have to defend scum like lee man ho. I dont agree with you at all that sol A does not deserve to be a lawyer. I think what you consider to be her weakness is actually her strength. She will never be a corrupt person like prosecutor jin and she will never compromise on her morals

For the first time i really dont mind the most obvious character being the bad guy. I just hate the character so much that i was actually hoping it would be them and not someone i liked

Well i mean whether or not history was being distorted is not exactly something we would know. They would know that better. Lets just agree to disagree because i think thr koreans were justified on this

See you miss the entire point. The show is fiction. But the characters being used are not. The makers could have easily changed the names of the characters. No one would have had an issue then. To take an actual person and change them in a drama can offend the people regardless of what the context of the show was. We all have our cultures and historical events that we are proud of. The koreans had a right to protest against something that distorts their history. Especially since now kdramas are being more internationally recognised. People with no idea about their history will think that a character was actually evil even though they weren't.

That's okay. And also since you liked this show, try the train. Its an ocn show and in my opinion ot handled the whole parallel universe concept better. I think you'll like. Im sure the writer the king the eternal monarch had a lot in mind but its just that thr execution wasnt as good. Also (this is my personal opinion) but ive never really liked lee min ho's acting. Im a fan of kim go eun and i was willing to give lee min ho a chance because she was in this show. He's not a terrible actor but he doesnt immerse himself in the role. You can always see the actor lee min ho behind his every role while good actors make you forget the celebrity so that you focus on the character. With him I've never once felt that. He doesnt portray the rawness of the emotions. He's always too poised for that. Again this is only my opinion. I have nothing against this writer since i loved goblin but she did not execute this plot well
