Not that i defend him, but at that time, the age of consent of people having a relationship was 13 years old. That’s why south korean law of protecting minors was so weak then in 2020 they revised it to 16 years old. They were in relationship in 2015, so it was still legal by that time. That’s why the family could not sue him legally from court so they use a YouTuber to smear his name. We all know it’s still disgusting to have a relationship with someone much younger but the country itself is more disgusting to allow such things to happen to minors.
They only revised it when there was a case of 42 years old man had sex with 15 years old and he was found not guilty since the girl was in relationship with him and gave consent. Also, in south korea, they add one year bigger to their age. So by the time you were born, you were given 1 year old, they count the time of conception too. In 2015, sae ron was 16 years old in korean age.
So technically he didn’t break the law by that time. That’s why parents, when you have a daughter, protect her at all costs. Don’t let her have boyfriends especially much older male friends, even though he is famous or whatever. Teach her to use her brain, don’t work for free. Don’t help your boyfriend’s business without getting paid because he is only a boyfriend.
I think all countries have to revise the age gap. It’s more important than everything. People in relationships need to have maximum 5 years age gap. It’s already problematic to see leonardo dicaprio to always date 18 years old girls and dicth them when they turn 25. All the politicians also always have the next young thing to play with like Epstein case.
Hoverlab will be making about 500 000 at least from their "reporting", family gets a cut, 50 000. Defamation lawsuit…
I totally agree with you. What’s with all the hate, it’s crazy. I also think sk will soon go extinct. They don’t even breed anymore lol. Their dramas are the reflection on how they can run to drama to forget about their miserable lives. As my brother said to me that he ain’t watching movies from a toxic culture who make people commit suicide.
I really do not understand people these days why so low ratings? how the hell could goblin get 20% and this only…
Oh please, if not because of that, why would other dumb dramas like boys over flowers, the heirs, descendant of the sun can achieve such high rating? It just has handsome guys and pretty girls with basic story line , heavy romance, nothing special, really. Everybody knows k-dramas are mainly for teenage girls. Most of teenage girls are too simple minded, they only like romance. Ok my bad if i said they are dumb, i think they are too simple minded and like to be lied, there are no guys like that in real life, the writers only take this chance to earn money from them, since cheesy love story selling well.
That being said, everybody is entitled to give comments of course, but don't make other people think this drama is not worthy enough to watch since it is so bad compare to the originals. This is still on air and have not finished yet. We should give fair comments when it has finished airing and when u all have finished watching until the last episode. Anyway, just my two cents.
I don't understand with all the hate comments here :( i saw many other worse drama and yet people don't bash it in the comment section. Maybe too many people care and had a high expectation. I, myself, think that it's enjoyable to watch especially now on the later episodes. Yes, there are a few that don't make sense but no movies and dramas are that 100% real. Even that highly acclaimed game of thrones and the dragon is not real at all. Don't need to zoom in to all the faults in the drama, just enjoy it. I feel that i enjoy this as i have not seen the originals albeit some flaws.
Can anyone tell me where i can watch LJG's candy in my ears episodes with eng subs.... I would really appreciate…
i tried to find but to no available :( sorry cannot help, usually i watch k-drama on viu and the collection is complete, just now i checked and i saw all k-variety shows there except candy in my ears :(
You can't blame people who saw the original series for comparing the two since they follow the original cases…
In the originals, did they film 1 case for 3-4 episodes format? Or is it the same thing like 1 case = 1 episode? If the rating is not high enough, i doubt they will create another seasons, korean industry is like that, they want to see the rating first, whether it's making money, if not they will not continue the production. Western one is different it think?
I like how this drama is very different from k-drama, this one does not have any fillers at all, hahaha, not boring…
Yeah, I can watch this drama on-going coz it doesn't have that annoying cliff-hanger that makes you feel ughhhhhhhhhhhh the case is not too longggggggg and boring like secret forest. Like 1 case is taking forever to solve it.
Sorry chingu but I think we are facing a big flop. The individual cases appear from nowhere. You have no time…
Yeah i agree with kate. It's like too many serial killer in the small country like south korea haha it sounds ridiculous. US is a big country so i won't be surprised with the amount of freaks.
Incredibly poor acting from the main lead guy.. acting cold for no reason everytime on screen. Either that or…
Not about alpha or beta but i agree that kdrama is watched by females in majority. Thus the rating for goblin is very high which i find it non-sense. Goblin sucks. It probably just a 7,5 or 8 for me. No way it could reach that above 9 point.
I know that this is a remake of the US version, but it´s just too similar. I wish that they would come up…
Yeah right. I agree. Some people put pressure in the writer shoulders when actually the real culprit here is the original storyline itself. The original is like that and it's the management decision to follow it exactly as it is.
I tried to give this one a fair chance by watching 4 episodes. But sadly it doesnt just click. Actors are decent…
Oh come on, I don't believe it a normal ahjushi can hack the whole system like that. There is no background too. Like who is this ahjushi? A genius professor or what. U know. But when it's in western, if a common guy can hack the system, people will believe it. And when it comes to healer, that hacker ahjuma who is so smart can hack everything, but no one complain. I think it got things to do with expectations. People just nitpicking it. When it happens in western show, people kind of expecting it since it's american style.
The reason why they don't need to restrain him is because he is trained to control his emtion that's the reason why he stopped. I think it's not an issue. The peppermint thing is adapted from the main source. They don't have much time to wait for the kids to talk. This show, 1 case = 1 episode. Yeah maybe it's not necessary to have that peppermint scene but that's the reason why profiler deduce it to find the killer too since this person loves to eat peppermint. What puzzled me is that why the killer has been trying to hide himself, but now he just comes out like crazy and he is not afraid to be identified.
Well, after episode 4, ugh, here I am still waiting for Lee Joon Gi to do another drama with good writing...and…
Lee joon gi should take a non-adaptation dramas. But scarlet heart had catapulted him to be recognized once more in his age now and that's a good thing. I would side on the poor writer in this case because the writer is given task to write the plot the same with the american show. American show type of writing is somehow a bit too much and weird i must say. That's the reason why kdrama writer is better so I don't think kdrama should do adaptation anymore with a challenging short time. But so far i enjoy the show, it's very fast pace. 1 case = 1 episode. It's episodic type of drama. Not like orhers. 1 case = 4 episodes, the writer can guide audiences to their way of thinking how to deduce to find the criminal. This one only has 60 mins to find criminals so we are a bit confused. But after i watch it again, i understand how the profilers get the criminal. I must say the most favorit case for me is the 3rd episode. That's very interesting to change the criminal minds. How to talk to him to make him calm down.

@BeautifulSwan true. People keep bashing a remake.
@Leejoongi yup that shows are the worst!! But it's popular. Gross.
