Saw the trailers in Youtube, the drama looks interesting. So I'm watching this in Viu, finished 3 episodes last night. So far so good, I like it :) . Since I just finished "Here We Meet Again" recently, when I see Vin Zhang here, I can't help but think of Xu Yan Shi 😃.
I just finished this drama yesterday. This is a romantic comedy that is fun, light and entertaining to watch :)!…
Xu Yan Shi's mother appeared towards the end of the series, when XYS requested her to help Xiang Yuan's company, meaning she has the financial means to do so. It was also mentioned in an earlier episode that she has a successful career abroad. This shows that XYS was in touch with her somehow. Does this mean that he was in constant communication with his mother? If so, when he needed to pay Chen Shan/Wei Lin for the breach that happened while in university (which was not really his fault), why didn't he ask her for help? Or they just started keeping in touch when he was already working? Thanks for any info. I might have missed this.
I just finished this drama yesterday. This is a romantic comedy that is fun, light and entertaining to watch :)! There is great chemistry between Vin Zhang and Janice Wu (they have many kissing and romantic scenes), and they were able to bring their characters, Xu Yan Shi and Xiang Yuan, to life. There were some misunderstandings between them, but the good thing is, these did not last long. I agree with the comment that there is some push and pull between the leads. The drama also showed relationship dynamics and happenings in the workplace, both good and bad, the realistic and unrealistic ones. I find the industry that the drama focused on, i.e., satellite navigation technology, quite interesting, so I did not get bored in the scenes where they talked about it. It's good that the drama also showed friendships and family relationships (although not perfect). Lastly, I like the OST, especially the opening and ending themes - they're quite catchy! Overall, this is a good drama for me :).
I have some questions that I'm tagging as a spoiler below. Maybe someone knows the answer? Thank you!
I plan to watch this but is the male lead here is really no good prince or just pretending?
He has that reputation, as the summary says, he is "...pampered, lazy and spends his time on 'useless' artistic pursuits." He pursues pleasure and the finer things in life. He's not exactly pretending, but more of, he didn't pursue bigger, more worthy goals in life and didn't think he can make a difference, that is, until Ye Zhao came into his life. His character grew a lot throughout the series. It was not an overnight change, but rather a process.
I struggle with this genre but this sounds like something I might enjoy ♡
Agree! Mika and Xing Ke Lei have one of the healthiest romantic relationships in C-drama land. Imo, their interactions as a couple are very natural and authentic :).
So I finished this drama yesterday, and I have the same sentiment as when I was half-way into the series: I like…
Here are my wishlist for the ending: 1) When I started this drama, I already knew that the ending will show them as grandparents. I was hoping/expecting that Sandra Ma and Peter Sheng will still play the old Ye Zhao and Zhao Yujin (made to look older, of course). Turns out that her grandparents were the ones who played their older versions. How sweet! 2) It would be good if they showed the family's reactions to her pregnancy, especially her mother-in-law. 3) I wish they showed the couple during their early years of parenthood, how they raised their kids, their family interactions, etc.
So I finished this drama yesterday, and I have the same sentiment as when I was half-way into the series: I like and enjoyed it! :) It has romance, comedy, action, themes of loyalty and courage, and heart-touching moments. Most of the story arcs are really good, but a few are just so-so for me. I love the chemistry between Sandra Ma and Peter Sheng and their portrayal of Ye Zhao and Zhao Yujin, respectively. They nailed their roles! I like how they both grow and develop throughout the series. Most of the other characters also gave good performances. I like Hu Qing/Fox, Qiu Shui, Qiu Hua, Emperor Ren Zong, Noble Consort Zhang, and the sisters-in-law of Yujin and Ye Zhao. Mei Niang, Xuan Er and Xiao Xia Zi are a funny trio, but all loyal to Yujin and Ye Zhao. I was conflicted about the mother-in-law (although she was funny), but her character grew as well, especially in the 2nd half.
I love the OST! And I'm glad that the story ended on a happy note. I do have additional comments about the ending in the spoiler below.
Overall, it's a fun and enjoyable ride! It's worth watching the 60 episodes :).
I'm currently watching this drama, already half-way into it, and so far, I like it! I'm a bit late into the game for this series, but I'm glad that I decided to watch it! :)
HELLO LOVES, what have we’ve all been watching lately? Me… I’m still sticking with TTEOTM despite it not…
Hi! I just finished "Love is Sweet", it's not perfect, but overall, I like it! LYX and BL have great chemistry here :). Not sure if I'm gonna watch TTEOTM though.
I plan to watch "The Ingenious One", though I'd probably wait for more episodes to air (or wait for it to finish) before I start this.
Help me brainstorm: Would any of you be interested in receiving a tiny TSL gift from me? I just uploaded possible…
I've seen the photos and they're soo cute! They would be great giveaways during the 6 month anniversary. Agree with Alexasopretty that the number of participants can help determine how many dolls each winner gets. Btw, the 4th doll in your last pic (bottom right) is Ye Tan (based on the Chinese name written there), not YQ 😊.
Love hearing an open discussion of TSLhttps://open.spotify.com/episode/6phjFWPorpev0tjnyVRcFnhttps://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/teaandsoju/episodes/The-Guest-Series---The-Starry-Love-Review-Part-2-e2265eiThey…

Go and watch this, don't hesitate! :)

But that's Ok, the drama's still good overall :).

Another one on my watchlist is "Meet Yourself".
