It was good that you were on hiatus!!! Cuz baaaaby! Most of us here watched POJ has the episodes were dropping…
I feel you! I mean I've experienced that in other airing dramas, where the wait for episodes to drop seems soo long π. Good thing I watched POJ with all eps available already π₯°.
Too bad I was not able to join the fun in the previous comments!
I finished POJ 2 days ago. I had been on a drama hiatus for almost 2 months, so this is my comeback drama, and I'm glad that I chose this! It's a very good production overall - cinematography, OST/background music, costumes/settings, acting, chemistry and story. I really enjoyed this one!
special mention about bai yimei and li cheng as well....all that convincing passion they shared without a single…
π―% agree with you! When I started this drama, I didn't know about their storyline, so it was a very welcome development and I didn't expect to like it that much! I wish they could be paired in another drama again. Anyway, I shared more of my thoughts in my review π.
I tried one episode back in 2024, but did not feel like continuing, so I put it aside. Prior to that, I had watched back to back detective dramas, so I think I was looking for something different. Now that S2 is out, which looks interesting, I tried S1 again and now I like it!
Zhu Ya Wen was one of my favorite actors for many years. He has great acting skills. If you like historical drama,…
You're welcome! Thanks for the recommendations!
I agree that Zhu Ya Wen has great acting skills, and he has that commanding presence. I was watching "Across the Ocean to See You" but stopped 'coz I started "The Imperial Coroner S1". Will definitely go back to watching AtotSY! Also, I recently finished another one of his dramas "Wings of the Nation" and I'm looking forward to "Swords into Plowshares" π.
Finally finished this drama last night. It took me a while to get through the last 4 episodes, as I've lost the momentum and interest for the last arc. The other arcs are good (though not perfect) with some memorables scenes, so I enjoyed those. Overall, it's a nice watch, but not exceptional for me.
In ep 29, I'm so glad that Yun Xi finally made her choice and stands up against her grandma - for herself, her man and her child! (Their kiss in front of granny is just so good to watch π). Grandma Rong is so infuriating and has not learned her lesson!
