Just finished it and I love how they wrap up the story πβ€οΈπ―! I want to rewatch at least the last 2 or 3 episodes (maybe tomorrow), but for now, it's time to sleep π. Btw, watch until the end, there's an extra clip after the ending theme.
I thought I was never going to finish his dramas as well. But now I started to think that I might have started…
I've watched "Fangs of Fortune", "Glory" and then KttPH. I tried "A Girl Like Me" but didn't finish it (somehow I can't feel the chemistry with the FL, and story's just Ok). I'm thinking to watch "Love in the Clouds" or "Back from the Brink" next.
Li Mao is obsessed with power and winning over Xiao Wu Yi. His actions just negate whatever good he has accomplished (in large part, due to XWY). Finally, XWY has lost his stretched out patience and tolerance for him (δ»θ³δΉε°½)!
One thing Xie Jia Yu said to Li Mao in ep24 is very true:
"I don't understand you...I don't know when you are being real and when you are pretending..."
To those here who were confused about A Mao πππyou are not alone, even the characters in the drama are…
So true! Even XJY doesn't understand him (maybe she does at times), it's like the more he is in a powerful position, the more she can't get what he's really up to.
I just love this drama's soundtrack, especially the opening and ending theme songs! Neo Hou and Zhang Bi Chen's renditions are excellent π―. The music and lyrics are fitting to the story.
Xie Jia Yu gave Xiao Wu Yi a memorable spring festival gift by redeeming his prized war horse, Chi Ju, knowing that it had been with him in many battles and other pursuits.
During XJY's investiture ceremony, after the Dali officers came to arrest XWY, Xiao Yao and Xiao Ju, I like XJY's determination to be proclaimed as XWY's main consort when she grabbed the proclamation of investiture from Li Mao. That's a big blow to Li Mao, who had wanted to stop the investiture.
I also like the scene where XJY confronts Li Mao with evidence of his real identity, using it as bargain for releasing the Xiaos.
As for Liu Zhao Lin, I wonder, if He Yian Ji had told him earlier of who he really was (it appears he has lost his memory of it), then he might not have been lured and used by Xie Huai Gui to frame XWY and Xiao Yao. But then, I think it's one of those plot devices to move the story forward.

And I have a feeling that iQiyi will drop the express episodes tomorrow.
