I'm on episode 30, and I find this to be a very good and engaging drama - from the story, cast / acting, location shoots and cinematography. Looking forward to the remaining 10 episodes!
I just watched the trailer and it looks so epic! Looking forward to Zhu Ya Wen, Zhou Yu Tong and Bai Yu's performance here, especially ZYW! He's such a good actor. I just added this in my PTW list.
I like both He Xuan Lin and Yan Zi Xian's portrayal of their characters. I think they did well and carried the drama. The two kids also add humor to the show. The other supporting cast are just Ok, some not so good. The pacing is fast and the transitions are quick, so less time is spent building up characters and plot. Still, it's an entertaining short drama that I watched while it was airing.
Ep 31 is so heart breaking…fortunately Detective Wei’s wife is so strong and capable.
Agree! Case #6 is one of the best so far. The part where LLF cried as he bids his farewell to the two men was touching. And it's fortunate that Wei Jia was able to escape back to her family after what she went through. And hurray to PXJ for that triple slap on the scoundrel's face! 👍
I like how Pei Xi Jun is able to break down things and help Lu Ling Feng see them in a different perspective, e.g., when LLF got upset at Su Wu Ming's handling of the news regarding the Bai Ze, she explained things to him, taking into account SWM's perspective. She also understands his thinking and motivations. As LLF said, "the one who knows me best is you, Xi Jun". (知我者,喜君也)
I was just going to make a similar comment. Tang was truly China's greatest, most glorious dynasty. Women were…
"they are strong and independent but in ways that are still consistent with their times. Instead of spouting modern values and ideas that are completely nonsensical for those times. " ~ 💯 agree with this!
And it's fortunate that Wei Jia was able to escape back to her family after what she went through.
And hurray to PXJ for that triple slap on the scoundrel's face! 👍
Also, I like how they wrap up the first case. The actor who played Lie Na (flame crow trainer) did pretty well here.
