You can tell how far apart this series was filmed by Boun's hair. In some scenes he has darker roots and then in the others it's completely bleached and more fluffy. It's kinda funny to see but he looks so much better with the dark roots because that reminds me more of how he looked in UWMA
Well...a lot fucking happened. I'll be honest, I liked the Payu/Rain story a lot more, personally I just feel like they had waaay more chemistry than Pai/Sky. Not that they didn't have chemistry, they did their roles justice and I enjoyed them quite a lot but it just didn't measure up to the first couple. Payu and Rain were so good together and they I loved their every interaction, it was cringey at times for sure but still really sweet and Boos/Noeul are just perfect together. On another note, ep 13....they really should have given a heavy trigger warning before everything went down because there were points were I felt really sick watching it. It's one thing to say that a character has been sexually assaulted but it's another thing entirely to show someone being pinned down and about to be raped. I know there's confusion as to whether Sky was assaulted or not but personally I think Pai got there in time since Gun (Who was creepy as fuck, no offence to the actor) still had his pants on. When Sky asked if he wanted to know what happened I think he was meaning, why Gun said what he said and why he had nightmares and such, not if he had actually been raped or not. As for how the aftermath was dealt with....I think Pai handled everything really well, he tried to remain calm as Sky told him his past and cried for his lover who was hurting. And he asked a trusted friend to deal with the criminal in an appropriate way. As for Sky...I feel like he already dealt with his trauma (to a very small degree) years ago when it happened and they did mention how his father helped him through a lot of his depression. It's not like the pain of something that traumatic ever leaves, you just find ways to live I guess. For your loved ones sake and yourself, you try to find ways to be happy again. And it's not like Sky fell into a relationship with Pai like he needed a lover instead of therapy. Pai had to work hard to get Sky to open up and trust him and Sky allowed himself to receive that love and give it back in return. Obviously the sexual assault should have been handled better, at least spread out over a few eps rather than in just the last one but what can you do? The series wasn't perfect but it also wasn't bad, not bad at all. I'd definitely rewatch the part one and bits and pieces of part 2.
This was soo good. I really loved UWMA so this is such a nice throwback to a couple we didn't get to see enough of. I'm so glad their story is finally getting told. That consent scene was so sexy, like so sexy and I wish to god that they would do that more often because we as viewers are actually so surprised and and delighted when that happens. Will admit that it is messing with my head a bit, I keep trying to remember what happened in UWMA and figure out the timeline to things and it is seriously tempting to just start watching it all over again. I mean what do I have to lose, not like there are many other good BLs to watch right now. One issue that I did have is that Win's character is a lot more serious. In UWMA he was very playful and flirtatious and quite smiley but here they really made him...not darker but...solemn I guess. I'm sure those will come out the more he opens up to Team but even in his interactions with others, in UWMA he was more cheerful than this portrayal. But, I am glad there's finally something fun to watch.
2 Moons is starting to feel seriously cursed, and that's such a shame because the original was my first ever BL series and it holds such a sweet spot of nostalgia in my heart. I was skeptical when 2Moons 2 came out but I found it rather enjoyable after watching it, the cast did a really good job with it. But this....give it a rest already. Why are they forcing the story so much? It could literally have been ANY other university/engineer/medical BL and that would be it but they're doing the same old story and not well at that.
It's sad to think how much Tess actually ruined Taley's life. Not only did he abandon his friends for 2 years, and cost Puen his career but he almost blacklisted Taley from the entertainment industry. The funny thing is, he probably didn't do all of that maliciously. He's just purely selfish, lazy and narcissistic. And unfortunately you just happen to get people like that. People that will squander any good opportunity that comes their way and aren't willing to work hard to change things. Pakorn was kind to Puen's life and understood the same thoughts that Taley had in the beginning. That they can't ruin each others lives. It's sad that the crush he had on Tess was probably irrevocably ruined this time around. But on the plus side, he and his friends lives were dramatically improved thanks to Puen and Taley and he will only build upon that success while Tess will probably once again go back his playboy ways. It's unfortunate but all that matters is how you pick yourself up in the face of adversity. Maybe losing Kita and Fuse (who will probably be put off by his behavior) he'll realize how much his actions work against him and be more willing to change.
Puen visits every time and then stops...🙄 I guess you didn't see the comments that he's an actor, with a more…
He probably lost a lot of hope. Taley was gone for more than a month and he too had to pick up a lot of the pieces of a dwindling career from the mess that Tess made as his manager. Probably thought that Taley would tell him when he's back rather than getting his heart broken each time it's just Tess answering
I can't say that this is outright bad....but it's kinda bizarre....and random, too random. The plot is going at break-neck speed and not in a good "oh yay, stuff is actually happening" kinda way but a "how did that jump in plot even make sense" kinda way. That kiss was just way too random, again they have said that Rain had a crush on the girl, and like I get it if he doesn't anymore but why put it there if you weren't gonna do anything with it? Why couldn't he just be your regular unattached university student? Maybe I'm the only one bugged by that but oh well, I just thought they'd use the crush as a buffer for him avoiding his feelings for Phayu. My main issue with this is the really (and I mean REALLY) weird infantilization of the "bottom" and again it might just be me but it's just odd. I mean the spanking which was just cringey, I mean who the hell let's some guy spank them like they're a toddler who needs a time out? It seemed like it was supposed to be funny but in the context that it was shown in, it was demeaning, like Rain was just a baby that needed to be spanked so that he learned his lesson and never went against the absolute words of his big strong "top". I don't mind a power play done right, but to treat the "bottom" like he's just a stupid kid that needs his behavior rectified rather than having them fall for him even with his flaws, just grates on my nerves. Also the person who edited this series needs to either be fired or go back to school, the weird sound changes, the freaking three minute song on the racing track, re-hashing the first episodes start to a letter in the second half....some low budget drama's have had better editing is all I'm saying. I'll watch a few more eps before I decide if I want to drop this because so far it hasn't put me off completely and the chemistry between them is pretty good so far so...we'll see
I thought I was the only one to not really like it.I don't get with the plot. I like the beginning in medias res,…
That wasn't even the biggest issue though. It's kind of understandable that Phayu got confused and thought Rain was giving him hints, like "oh, maybe this guy wants a one-night stand with me, he's attractive so I'll bite" and again, it's not like Rain made any effort to push him off, they have similar physiques so you can't even argue that he was at a disadvantage. My issue with it was that boy was going to himself "stop liking it" and not pushing Phayu off when he liked someone else and at least Phayu did stop when Rain clearly established that he wasn't interested.
To be honest, I'm not sure if I liked it. By no means was it bad but it also wasn't great. I mean it's the first episode and you kinda want people to be hooked or interested enough to continue but nothing really happened here. I know more might happen later on but just from the first ep alone I can tell the theme of the rest of the series.... The characters are also a bit odd to me. Rain is definitely cute but a bit too dumb, not in an offensive off-putting way but more of a....struggling to adult kind of way, especially when he had no clue who to call for his broken down car, I mean that would totally be me in that situation so he's not that bad to me. I kind of just didn't understand his crush on the girl, I mean, what about her did he like? He went into such detail about his admiration for a handsome male stranger that he was giving clear heart eyes to in the first minutes of their meeting but then all of a sudden he has a crush on some girl? You can argue he's going to figure out his sexuality later but...what "straight" guy with an established crush on a girl lets a guy they just met, kiss their neck? It just happened too fast and his complacency didn't make sense for a guy who supposedly liked someone else. Phayu....jury's still out on his character but it's starting to get annoying when writers have these flawlessly perfect and over-accomplished "tops" and the weird, awkward but still loveable "bottoms", I mean, let your characters equally have their flaws or life situations they're struggling with.
I think the series would have been better if it weren't a dream and they ended up having sex at that point. But…
Well this leads to my other annoyance but who do they think is their target audience? 12 year olds? Grown people watch your shows about adults here so actually put them in situations befitting their age.
I think the series would have been better if it weren't a dream and they ended up having sex at that point. But…
I had the same thought, these are adult men and the guy Rain has a crush on is putting up all these walls so it would kind of make sense for Rain to seek comfort from somebody else which is such a human thing to do....maybe it would even cause a bit of juicy jealousy when Rain and Phayu actually get together
I kinda skipped over a few eps because everyone's comments were seriously putting me off but I've since caught up again and maybe I'm in the minority here, but it's still not that bad for me. It is kinda slow but there are still a lot of eps left so...plus it's about people doing people things and living their lives with their happiness, sadness, insecurities so it's not like I'm even expecting a grand old plot with multiple twists and turns. So far I do like the characters as well. Sun is cute if a little ditzy but it's nice to see he knows what he wants and does try his best for it. Kim...it's easy to see why he's so cold and closed off (with a fucking father like that) and it's kind of like his lonely heart calls out to Sun's lonely heart. Their story might be a bit slow but there's definitely a nice build up so far. Rain and Phayu....it's kind of sad because Rain clearly likes Phayu and wants him to want to be around him and take care of him out of love not duty and Phayu has been forced by everyone, his father included, to treat Rain as damn near royalty. Look, just because his father works for that family doesn't mean that Phayu has to as well, damn, he might have his own dreams too and as parent you should support that, I certainly wouldn't encourage/force my kid to be some rich assholes butler (not that Rain is the asshole). Also, as much as I like them together because they do have a cute chemistry, I kinda feel like they're an obvious match and just personally I would like to see something along the lines of Rain getting swayed by Shun who gives him an unbiased attention. Also maybe he and Phayu do try things out but it doesn't work for them, like they danced around their feelings for so long that it changed before they were aware of it. It would just be an interesting path to take rather than having them be the set second couple, plus the Shain kiss was very hot and I was kind of disappointed it was dream, would have been interesting if it had been real, even if it would be Rain just using Shun. As for Pie and Phet....they kinda confuse me since I don't know if they're even friends and also Pie is a freaking asshole! If they are then jeez, where the hell do you get off talking to a friend like that? I don't know how that would make a convincing romance..... The dad infuriates me, you legit told your son that you don't love him as much as your firstborn, you don't understand him nor will you even TRY to understand him, you don't care how he feels so long as he's doing what you tell him to and that he was basically born to follow orders. The mother is obviously a competent woman but what, you can't stick up for your kids or even offer some comfort to them? Just blissfully ignoring that they're being pressured by an tyrant. Sorry but there is nothing that can redeem the dad in my eyes especially since it's obvious he's going to cause problems for both his kids relationships and I just hope they don't pander to him with some bullshit filial plot point like he just wants what's best for his kids so they should understand him.
Payu and Rain were so good together and they I loved their every interaction, it was cringey at times for sure but still really sweet and Boos/Noeul are just perfect together.
