I'm sorry but they never played a role of brother and sister... Addressing someone as brother or sister in China is a way of showing courtesy and respect. But at no point they considered each other real relatives. No need to mislead people.

Yeah, the scenes where he tries to kiss her and she is just fidgeting are so awkward. If I were chasing a girl who acted like this, I would think that she is just not into me.

Well he has another sister who sees him as a reliable and smart big brother, and she also looks at him with innocence... so it is hard to imagine that this is something he would miss in his life and that getting another sister like that would feel refreshing. The only difference between the two is that one has a grown up body, but this would only summon lust, not romantic love. But Jin Zhao is specifically described as someone who is not prone to lust. This is why it's complicated for me to understand why would he fall in love with her, unless he is into lolicon, or something.

It would actually be a good drama with Wan Qing as FL. With her having to choose between her father and a man she loves. There's also a love triangle with the blond guy... so much material there.

Well, if she cold at least cook for the man, instead of making him wake up earlier to make her breakfast, that would be great! 😅

I like this show for the cinematography and of course: “The delivery man is damn hot!”
But I have to say this - I can not root for the main couple…

I’m failing to see where all this budding romance is coming from. Yes FL is physically attractive (but we can see there are other attractive girls around him, so she is not special in that aspect) and they share some memories from childhood (happy for her, and not necessarily as much happy for him, since he’s been a bit of an outsider in their family). But other than that… She is not someone whom he can talk to about his troubles really. She also is not someone who takes care of him, it is always the other way around: he is the one that cooks for her, gives her rides, runs errands for her, comforts her and worries for her safety… This isn’t cute, it’s exhausting. He is already tired enough juggling two jobs (his own workshop and his parent’s restaurant) and being all stressed with all the money issues and stuff. So I don’t see how exactly FL is bringing joy and warmth into his life when all she does is give him even more trouble. She keeps telling that she is not a kid anymore, but doesn’t really act like one.

With all that said I really wish for ML to meet a more mature and capable girl who could give him some support and share his burdens. I find that even a character like Wan Qing would be more suitable for him. Not her exactly though, ‘cause fuck her and father, just someone “like her”.

I've read the novel and I'm still not team Fan Xiao! In my eyes, even after his so called redemption, he still is a creepy stalker and control freak. I'd prefer for him to go suffer somewhere for 5 more years or so and then maybe we could talk...

Sure, he is just a normal human being with his own flaws. It's just that we viewers love our boy Shulang too much so we naturally get angry with everyone who upsets him. 😁
But since Lu Zhen is not a main character, we don't get much insight on his true feelings and internal struggles. And he also is not getting his redemption arc, to make him more likable for the audience. 🤷

Same happens to me. It is even worse at the gym, where guys get all sweaty and partially undressed, standing close to each other... I ship so many couples already, they would be really frustrated to know 😂😂😂
