If Jun’s Cool with Sorn, Who Are We to Object?Fair point. Jun has agency—and if he decides Sorn is worth the…
"Penny deserved better than being written as a clingy, sexually aggressive distraction. The real crime? She’s vilified for agency, while Jun is infantilized for passivity. Classic."

Amen!! Penny and Jun are the same, regarding their places in their relationships with June and Sorn, but Penny is viewed and treated by a segment of the viewingaudience (and sadly any female character) as this unnecessary entity, because they're not written to help in getting the main male leads together, nor written as the proxy version of the fujohsi ( female characters screaming in the background in glee over their co-workers, fellow high school/college students being romantically involved with one another i.e. History's Stay Away From Me, History4 Close To You, Fish Upon The Sky).

I won't speak for anyone else, but I am just so tired of seeing this portrayal of so-called "supportive" female characters in BLs.

We cannot give you SornJun NCs for two episodes so please take these ThaiChamp! 😁
That's exactly what those sscene were between Thai and Champ. A placeholder for NC scenes we would have gotten for Sorn and Jun. We have literally had an NC scene between those two characters in almost every episode, except for episode 9 and episode 10. Sorn has to put in work, effort, and emotion to get Jun's cookie again.

I agree with what you're saying about Sorn not being the nicest to Jun, but I think he is just not into anything…
"I think that's messed up. For once, I'd like to see a BL where the arrogant, SOB, seme/top actually get that they deserve and that's "is not get the guy in the end and the guy get with someone better!". LMFAO!!!"

Sadly, that will probably never, ever happen in a BL. It breaks the BL fantasy of the Seme that "changes" for the Uke.

It’s ridiculous in the most Japanese way possible—dead serious about being unserious. The drama, the awkwardness,…
It has been two years, but Abe Alan and Akutsu Nichika have brilliantly picked up and continued the absurd chaotic, and loving madness of Akafuji and Aoyanaga.

Did a character in a KBL just identify as "gay"? Did they in fact *use* the word "gay"? Did I just see a pig fly…
You may have to update your KBL Ten Commandments with this recent series.

Title My Stubborn Spoiler
There are already some great takes on Jun, but my ego got challenged and I have to be fair, so here’s a breakdown…
"Jun has bowed and accepted Sorn's behaviour all this time, hoping love could form between the cracks if he does what's he told like a good boy, only to hear that Sorn is actively against loving him."

Which is behavior that sadly happens in a ton of real-life relationships. You hope, hope, and hope that your patience with them, your support of them m, your acceptance of their behavior towards you, and finally your feelings for them will CHANGE them to be the "perfect" guy for you. Sigh.

"In reality, Jun shouldn't be dating anyone, honestly, but this is BL land, so hopefully, Jun is allowed to be himself for an episode at least, while Sorn grovels and pays back the emotional devastation he owes Jun."

Agreed. I want to see Jun actually trying to understand and figure out what he wants, what he needs, his goals, and putting himself first, over any attempts in allowing himself to get back with Sorn. Not due to me wanting to see Sorn "punished" and groveling.

I want Jun to see his own value in himself outside of being the good son, and dutiful "junior" to everyone else in his life. That he's more than just Sorn's naive, foolish, and "stubborn" sex buddy.

There was only one part I truly liked in the latest episode.Let’s talk about Tontae’s uncle. He might work…
I thought that scene was touching and explored the difference between the generations of gay men, and their individual experiences. Tontae's uncle was encouraging, hopeful, and supportive in telling him to not squander this moment/opportunity/experience with Victor. That Tontae isn't "bad" for feeling more than friendship for this other man.

Yet, Uncle specifically told Tontae to not talk about his previous relationship with another man. Uncle may be known in their village about his own sexuality. Maybe the man in his former youth isn't out yet? Maybe he's still married, with a wife and family of his own?

Sorn's brother has finally been able to give him the emotional reality slap that he's needed regarding the acceptance of his true feelings about Jun.

"Don't forget. You're just the guy that taught me about sex!" Jun has finally reached his limit with Sorn. He's exactly right. Sorn was the one that set the initial limits of their FWB situation. He's the one that's in utter denial about his real feelings for Jun.

This belief that they have about Jun really pisses me off, and makes me totally understand why BL has become the "safe haven" for many viewers. Jun should be allowed to explore his life, options/choices, and to make mistakes among the way. This constant need to make the "junior" think that they have absolutely no say in the choices they (he or she) wants to make in their own lives.

That horrible facial hair on Sorn. These makeup/hair stylists in Thailand need help.

Rumor has it there’s no NC scene this Sunday. And I just have one question:WHY ARE WE BEING PUNISHED FOR LOVING…
😃 😀 😄

"Let’s take attendance real quick:
💅 Thai palace BL? Feet-kissing, violin strings, royal tension.
💥 Boxing BL? A slap, a sob, and a makeup scene that broke OSHA laws.
🔪 Mafia BL? One murder, one guilt spiral, one floorboard-shattering hookup.

And now I hear My Stubborn might give us… dialogue?

BABE. Be so serious."

Well, for 8 weeks we had viewers wondering, "Where's the love?!" between the two main leads. So, we got to "reset" the storyline to get Sorn in the place to have the audience seeing him regret his behavior towards Jun. Along with seeing Jun finally realize that he deserves to have his feelings acknowledged (not accepted yet) by Sorn.

ETA: Thailand BL Travel Japan Tour Guide: P and Pan finally exchanged "I Love You" while they teased each other in bed together.

Armin didn’t get time to adjust. One moment he’s bleeding on the floor—betrayed by love, friendship, everything…
Viewers want Armin, who just returned and reset back to the year of 1999, after being killed/betrayed by his lover AND best friend in 2025 to immediately have his emotional and mental issues in check?!

Let him at least take a breath. It's not like it's episode 6 and he's still trying to gain his footing. It's episode 2.

Armin keeps mentioning future things to Mr. Tada, that with any other person, they would be trying to figure out what's off with him. But, Mr Tada aka TD, he's just so happy that Armin is allowing himself to be around him, that he's just taking any and every opportunity to be in his presence. He almost swallowed his tongue, when Armin stepped into his pool (hopefully naked, but probably not)!

I don't know what Armin did in his former life to have his former manager out to destroy his career from the very beginning. She's not a great manager at all.

I saw the 'brother' thing coming, after Nankrai's confession, since in the beginning of the ep when Tontrae used…
Your thoughts about Victor are very true. They really haven't delved into anything about the Victor character, besides him being a photographer on vacation in Thailand. He's not bad, and I can see why Tontae is drawn towards him: He's different, new, and exciting towards someone, who's proably never left his village.

As for Somo, I think I'm just mean, but she admitted that she knew Nankrai has always been drawn towards Tontae, but she just wanted "1 percent" of his love. I'm sorry. Why would you do that to yourself? How would she feel if Nankrai had accepted her feelings, started dating her, or even attempted to marry her, and then in the not-so-long future, find out that her "1 percent husband" is cheating on her with another man in the village, be it Tontae or anyone else, because Nankrai has never been romantically or physically attracted towards her?

If know that the script wants us to sympathize with Somo and see similarities between her and Nankrai, but she made herself look foolish.

I don't know what the outcome will be, but for right now, Tontae only has brotherly affection/feelings for his best friend. Which is something that is both painful, along with delusionally hopeful for Nankrai. He still has his best friend in his life. He has to either accept that Tontae will never return romantic feelings for him, and start opening himself up to the possibility of a romantic relationship with another man. Or, keep himself waiting on the sidelines for when Victor leaves Thailand and he tries to confess his feelings again for Tontae.

It really is childish behavior, but this "engagement" by these fandoms makes them feel like they are "contributing" to the success/reception of their favs work. When in reality, they are only making their own emotional well-being worse. Looking at the comments thread for the other series, it seems like everyone is at each other's throats over a show that they've been anticipating for 3 years.

I'm watching and enjoying both The Next Prince, and Reset. I don't see these two shows as competing against each other.

Looking forward to today's episode.

Agreed. The series isn't prolonging the development and progression of all the pairings (including Per and Tar) until episodes 9 to 10. The series is titled "Boys In Love", not "Boys Love In Jeopardy To Make Drama Fans Happy".
