Wow. Let's not gang up on people. Perhaps you don't know, but you're encroaching on cyber bullying and leading…
Different people react differently to stimuli differently because we are all made differently. While you may prefer your mode of response to people with different tastes, I prefer to engage them. Particularly with PBG, since I already interacted with her on the page of TLB a year ago. We were very friendly on that page, and so I just wanted to engage her in like fashion, civily, like two educated individuals who know how to make use of data, since she mentioned that she works in the media industry.
When she said the director is directionless, I merely need to point to the super high Youku Heat Index that this drama has achieved to counter that. If the director is indeed directionless, would TBW be able to achieve that kind of performance?? And this Heat Index is published publicly and often brought to the Twitter page of TBW, so I hardly need to expend much energy or effort to do it.
I am sorry you are not a fan of the two leads. You have no idea how much fun we had on the page of TLB, exchanging views with likeminded people. But, we also had lots of fun pushing back against people who said unfair things about the two leads. And when we push back, we usually do it with evidence, rather than saying it is just our opinion versus theirs.
No official news, but Croton has released 3 previews on their YouTube channel over the past week or so, thus indicating…
Same for me. If I have to pay to watch with English subs, I will. It is only fair to them, as they have made huge investments on this drama. And, even if we do pay, I do not think it will be very much.
Also, there is a chance that broadcasters in our country may have picked it up. For instance, it has been announced that South Korea and Thailand will be showing TBW in their country.
So, if the broadcaster in my country is paying Croton Media to air this, I will get it to watch it without paying additional fees to Croton Media, since I would have already paid fees to my local broadcaster. I pay a monthly subcription of about US $ 6 a month.
No official news, but Croton has released 3 previews on their YouTube channel over the past week or so, thus indicating…
Ok, I really like your analysis of their business model. I really do, about them trying to extent the presence of TBW. I do not think they are being unethical about it. Let me try to explain to you.
See, if they had released the English subs early, broadcasters in other countries may say to them, why should we pay you so much, since international fans can already watch the drama on your YouTube channel?
By holding back the subs while negotiating with foreign broadcasters, they can point to these broadcasters that so far, no international fans have been able to watch this drama with proper English subs. This way, foreign broadcasters will also feel good about it and be confident that when TBW is aired in their countries, most people in their countries have yet to watch it and demand for the show will be high, when it is shown in their countries.
But, I certainly agree with you that this way of making decision does delay the international broadcast on Croton's YouTube channel and makes it painful for us who want to watch it early.
Well I don’t think you have to be a fan to like or dislike a show. I mean we don’t have to agree with her…
She does. She goes around to lots of drama pages, not just this one. But, if she wants to say something on this page, and thinks that she can do that without being challenged, she is wrong. She must be prepared to be pushed back.
This is not a place for people who want to make sweeping remarks, but are not prepared to engage with others in healthy debates and discussions.
We who are Reba fans do not just defend her here on this page, but also defend Allen against unreasonable attacks.
Well I don’t think you have to be a fan to like or dislike a show. I mean we don’t have to agree with her…
I do not know her true motivation. I honestly do not. Because, on the page of Sword Snow Stride, out of the blue she made nasty comments of You Are My Glory, saying some people in China were forced to watch that drama. Some of us countered that, and then left it at that, not wanting to get into too much a heated debate with her. That show has zero relation with YAMG, so I do not know why she even brought that up.
Wow. Let's not gang up on people. Perhaps you don't know, but you're encroaching on cyber bullying and leading…
Sure. I am not trying to force everyone to have the same opinion as me. People are entitled to their opinion, but this is a place for civilised debate too!! If she wants to say that the director is directionless, I can counter with my own opinion and not just opinion, but with solid evidence that this drama is doing well, really well in China. Like for three days in a row, it scored the highest possible of Youku Heat Index of 10,000.
I am hardly trying to make this place an unsafe place. Anyone can come and comment, but people must make comment with evidence, and people must be prepared to engage with others who might challenge them. Isn't that what healthy debate is all about??
I was merely trying to engage her in a rather civilised debate when she called me a broken record and a bot.
No one is trying to gang up on anyone. I merely want to call out her strange behaviour, so true fans of Dilraba will not be deceived by her.
You are not a fan of either leads, so I am not suprised that you are not disturbed by her comments.
Well I don’t think you have to be a fan to like or dislike a show. I mean we don’t have to agree with her…
She criticizes a lot! But she is quite smart. Often disguise herself really well. When I tried to engage her in a decent debate, she called me a broken record and called me a bot. And I think she has just removed some of my exchanges with her on the page of Part 1 of TBW.
I disagree with the chemistry part, and overall, I like the director. He's done some great work including TBW…
I found it really strange when she said tonight is the only time she felt chemistry between the leads. I am sure many of us felt great chemistry between Dilraba and Allen from the get go, from the time they were at the cave, to the night market, and even when she was sickly at that house by the lake. And certainly when she died in his arms.
No director is perfect, including director Chu. But, to label him as directionless, that is rather strange, when this show is doing so well in China, hiting Youku Heat Index of 10,000, 3 days in a row, for last weeks' episodes. Hiting that kind of number must surely means the director is doing something right, even if there are few things here and there we may not agree. As a whole, he did great for TBW.
Well I don’t think you have to be a fan to like or dislike a show. I mean we don’t have to agree with her…
Lili, I am not sure if she is really a fan of Dilraba at all. Because she said some really nasty things about the viewcount of You Are My Glory, things which a true fan of Dilraba would never say.
Well I don’t think you have to be a fan to like or dislike a show. I mean we don’t have to agree with her…
She is definitely entitled to her opinion. But if she wants to make nasty comments about the director, she must be willing to engage with others with a different opinion. She said the director is directionless. When I countered that this show is doing extremely well in China, citing evidence of extremely high Youku Heat Index this show has achieved, she said I am a broken record and called me a bot.
I am enjoying the drama tremendously. This drama made me cry when TLB and YAMG did not. Dilraba was a warrior in TLB, and in YAMG her anguish did not last very long. But here, the sadness of the story overwhelmed me. I am sure all of you know which episode I am talking about.
So, you could say, I am enjoying this show and her nasty comment about the director and the fact that she did feel any chemistry between the leads till tonight's episodes will not bug me.
I just wanted us to be cautious of her, not be deceived by her, thinking she is all for this drama, when she is not. I stayed on the page of Part 1, because I am waiting for the official subs, and then discuss with the many who have yet to watch this drama. When done with discussion over there, I will certainly be dropping by here again.
I am so sorry you feel this way. I felt their chemistry way way before. Right from E1. They were together plenty…
I remember you from the days of TLB. Thought you were a Dilraba fan. Guess I was wrong. Dilraba fan will never say the kind of stuff you said about You Are My Glory.
I am so sorry you feel this way. I felt their chemistry way way before. Right from E1. They were together plenty…
I remember you very well. On the page of Sword Snow Stride, you spewed some rubbish about the viewcount of You are My Glory, saying Tencent cheated on the viewcount for that drama.
I am so sorry you feel this way. I felt their chemistry way way before. Right from E1. They were together plenty…
Yes. It is still a wonder to me whether you have even watched this drama at all.
It scored Youku heat index of 10,000 three days in a row. Even prior this, part 1 did very well in China.
Are you sure you cover the media industry in China? And those are not my opinion. Those are the opinions of thousands and millions of viewers in China.
If the director is directionless, would TBW be doing this well in China??
You could be watching some of the episodes with your eyes closed.
I am so sorry you feel this way. I felt their chemistry way way before. Right from E1. They were together plenty…
Not sure you even watch any of those episodes that made lots of us cried buckets. Lots and lots of chemistry. Which is why this drama is doing so well in China. I thought you should know that?? It is pity you don't.
