In the manhwa, the snow walk scene in Ep 15, Chang Ge walks out to meet A'Sun with her bare feet, it struck to…
Yup. I was wondering about this for while, because a number of you did ask, when didn't they make her walk barefooted?

Then I realised that they make her less sickly in the drama, compared to the manhua. Not much coughly and vomitting of blood, which is great in a drama. Those coughs would have made the dialogues harder for us to listen to. Without those coughs, the connection to being barefooted in the snow would be less necessary. If so, letting Raba walk with shoes on would make more sense.

Furthermore, someone (either the director or the producer) also mentioned that all the scenes were filmed on location, so Raba would have been walking on a real field, with stone, pebbles, twigs, all kinds of stuff. Walking barefooted, she would have stepped any of those and got distracted in trying to focus on her facial expressions, her lines, etc.

So, yah, all things considered, might as well let her walk with shoes on.

I'm having way too much fun with this lol, but I have another wish! We've seen a short scene of Sun and Chang Ge…
There was a possbility of this happening in E49, when AS wanted to cut off the escape route of some of Khatun's soldiers who had escaped from Ding Xiang. But AS said it was too dangerous and asked CG to remain the tent. By now, CG had mellowed and was more wiling to listen to him. And also, CG had become more precious to him, so he did not want to see her injured in any more battles.

Chang Ge's eye mole would make a great spot for sweet kisses from A'Sun. I wish we got a scene where we see him…
Since we are imagining, we should have AS kiss the spot where his arrow shot her. And he can ask her while kissing her, is it still painful? I am really sorry I had to shoot you

I know where you are going. But, that will make TLB too much of a romance drama. And I don't think the producer and director wanted romance to overshadow character growth and what Changge learned from all her adventures.

But, it is ok. I read your post very clearly. It is one item on your wish list.

That mole, though it is visible, it is quite small. If you are saying kiss the mole plus the area around it, it is ok. If you are saying just exclusively on the mole and no where else, that will be quite a challenge. He will need to just very gently touch it with smallest part of his lips. I am not sure how that can be done

Okay but did tencent ask reba and wu lei to match clothes cause i dont see reba ever trying to fry cp and Leo…
They did?? If so, all the more we should not read too much into these coincidences. I think if they are indeed dating behind our back, they will never let us know. Till the relationship is rock solid and very likely only till they are well on the verge of marriage (like the couple from Crash Landing on You).

Wu Lei is very young. If he gets into a relationship that is made public and then failed later on, some may accuse him of using it to get cheap and free publicity. Reba is hardly old. But she is at an age where she cannot risk having a failed relationship. If she gets into relationship, she will want to make sure that it is the happily-ever kind.

I can just imagine a conversation between the two:

Reba to Wu Lei: Are you sure you really like me?
Wu Lei: Of course I am sure!
Reba: Prove it to me
Wu Lei: Ok, I will write you a letter of marriage proposal
Reba: Hello, we are no longer acting in the TLB
Wu Lei: Oh, I forgot. Then, what kind of proof do you want
Reba: Give me a kiss
Wu Lei: Sorry, I have that no-kiss clause
Reba: Come on, we are not acting you know!
Wu Lei: Oh, sorry, I forgot again. Give me a second. Let me wet my tongue.
Reba: Why do you need to wet your tongue? I want a real mouth-to-mouth kiss, not that forehead kiss you gave me in the drama. Both our tongues will be really wet after a kiss. No need to wet it now.
Wu Lei: Ah yes, I forgot again
Reba: Are you sure you are not giving excuses?
Wu Lei: I swear by the wolf god, I am speaking the truth
Reba: Ok, I think I am done with this conversation.

The above is just for fun, ok?? Just a joke. Please don't throw eggs at me. I want them to be together as much as lots of you here.

Regardless, that event did help us get to 29k rather quickly. Faster than our average pace for the past few days

Do you mean it is too hot? But it be cold wherever they did the formal presentation. That is why you see Reba wearing that blue number. That could be why Reba did not want to wear that white number for the presentation. The white dress not insulate her well from the cold.

Lots. Most people were rather disappointed, after the Tencent event. No GeSun moments during the event. Yang Yang was not even there to help promote the drama that he will be appearing next with Reba. Some people got upset that Wu Lei just confirmed he will be acting with Lusi. All in all, lots of the traffic was generated by bad news.

if this happens I'll shave my head
We need not worry too much. It will not affect Reba in anyway. She already has her next project lined up till rest of the year. And next year, she should have new projects

Yes, the Changge in the manhua is more ruthless than the one in the drama. Some of the things Changge did in the manhua, they cannot show in the drama. It may stigmatise Reba.

ooh that's so cool. i suck at languages so i'm always jealous of the people who can speak 2 or more.
Yes, they removed that portion which indicate that her mother was actually an Uyghur. The manhua will also show Changge's grandmother and all. And they (grandma and uncle - which would be Pusa in our drama) would use her mole to connect her to her mother (cause her mother also has a mole near to her right eye). There is a funny drawing showing Pusa brushing hard at her face just to see if that mole is genuine.

I think the screenwriters did not want to show that arc. May make the story too complicated, too many new characters will have to be introduced. Or talking about Xinjiang maybe too sensitive politically. So, they did not write any biological relation between Pusa and Changge into the drama.

Changge was just a total genius. She is just like a sponge. When she went to the grasslands, she learned their language and many dialects and adapted to their lifestyle and all.

In the drama, they removed the arc about her Uyghur background, so we missed seeing that side of her. Pusa was her uncle, in the manhua, so Mobei was actually just a name change. Maybe they don't want to use the name Xinjiang, due to political reason or what, I am not sure. But she could speak their dialect as well, having learned from her mum.

Besides the OSTs, many of the background music used were great. Matched the tone of the scenes really well, whenever…
Yes, they used musical instruments from around the world. Whichever instrument will produce the best sound for that particular scene. They did not just stick to Chinese musical instruments. And that vocal you referred to, if I am not wrong, was from an Italian singer.

The drama truly is a great package. Eveything is so well planned to the finest detail, even music.

I skipped here and there. And before I started on this drama, I actually read this link: https://chang-ge-xing.fandom.com/wiki/Li_Changge#Personality

This link is like an English translation of the manhua, in text, without all the drawings. But it may not be complete or so detailed as the manhua itself

No one is asking you to come to terms with Khatun. You don't have to. She belongs to the other end of the spectrum…
The one you quoted is good! There were lots actually. I just don't want to bore you with too many examples.

Our Li Changge was a linguist
Not sure if this was brought up, but our Li Changge was a lnguist. From the drama, we could already see that she could speak the language used by the Eastern Turks. And they went to the desert, at Mobei, she could speaker their dialect too.

In the manhua, it was written that her mother was an Uyghur and she also learned the Uyghur dialect from her.

All the more, the last scene makes sense, does it not? AS has a wife who could commuicate with anyone in the grasslands. And if she should go northwest and head toward Xinjiang, she will be able to communicate with the Uyghurs too. She does not need an interpreter around her. She can fight with all kinds of weapons, she can speak multi languages, dialects, she is highly adaptable.

Is there any at all for AS not trust her completely?

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
Weird that I never hated her. Just feel really sad for her.
I am going to agree that she suffered a lot. But, so did Changge. But at every fork in the Khatun's life, she made the wrong choice. She wanted to revive Sui, that was good. But that does not give her the license to kill all those ex-husbands of hers. One by one, she killed them all.

There is a branch of ethics called Consequentialism, which basically means the ends justifies the means. So, for Khatun killing was ok, because it was all part of her plan to revive Sui. But the same logic would also allow someone to steal, because he/she is too poor to buy food. Even cheating in examinations can be justified!

There will be no moral principles to live by and everyone will just do whatever is right or wrong in his own eyes, because to this person, his ultimate goal is justifiable (e.g., to pass an exam, to get a good job, to feed the family).

Societies will be in chaos, if there are no moral principles.

It is very clear that was the basis on which the Khatun acted. She would kill, she would poison, she would kidnap. None of these actions were wrong, cause they were all needed, as part and parcel of the process to revive Sui.

Changge was very different. She only wanted to take revenge, because she felt that the justice system will never allow her uncle to be brought to justice, as he was made the crown prince after the Xuanwu Gate Incident and subquently the emperor. So, she sought revenge first by assassination, and when that failed, she tried to raise an army.

But, we could already see the change in Changge's attitude very soon after that. At the grasslands, when she saw that Li Simin was all out to fight the Ashile troops, that he put the Tang ahead of his personal safety, she put her personal revenge agenda on hold and was even prepared to save him. And as the drama progressed, we see more and more change in Changge. She began to see that her personal agenda was nothing, compared to welfare for the people, and if she were to choose between the two, she would always choose welfare for the people.

Changge would never poison anyone, take any one hostage, or kill anyone, just for some personal agenda.

The two ladies are poles apart in terms of living by moral principles and, episode by episode, till the very last episode, the two screenwriters really wanted us to see that.

This is just a drama. In real life, we don't know if she poisoned those ex-husbands of hers. I doubt she did. She was passed down from one Khan to another, likely because the previous one died.

But, in a drama like this, they needed a villain. And she was as good a villain as any we could find.
