I noticed that as well. Who takes care of such stuff? The MDL has full time staff to take care of pics in MDL…
Now that we know they like to control all the profile photos, we don't need to bother sending them new ones. We will just get disappointed by their rejections
I'm in a similar situation. I haven't started watching anything new because nothing is really interesting to me…
I do not recall much from that interview. But the one thing I do recall was she said she will not want to get married by 29. In the drama, I think they got married when the character she plays turned 29. There may not be any marriage scene, the implication was they would get married. Maybe that is what she was referring to, that she is very unlike the character she played, because she will not want to get married by 29.
But she is very similar to the charactor alright. She is a celebrity. She does endorsement for products (so do the character she plays in YAMG).
Your Waer is also your She'er? Not sure if you are aware, all the voices, with the exception of one or two, were…
I don't mind many of the animation myself. I could live with them. But, I am also aware. Many viewers were disappointed. This is a drama with waras the backdrop. Many were hoping to see some big battles between the Tang and the Eastern Turks.
I too had similar feelings as you when watching the first half of the drama. Dislike him when I first saw him…
Indeed. You put it so well. All his life, he was a character in search of either approval or support. Approval from his uncle, the Great Khan or support from his mother. And even toward the latter stage, he was also seeking some sort of approval from Mimi.
I think that is why, at the end, he wanted to die. He found out that his mother was such an evil person. His uncle poisoned. Mimi died. At least AS found CG and they would be together. He had nothing and no one. Nothing to live for, as he was no longer interested to be any kind of Khan. And no support or acceptance from anyone who meant something to him. He might as well die in the hands of AS, whom he respected so much.
For me, it was a touching scene in E49, when AS and him separated. They made peace. AS asked him to continue to lead the Wolf division and hence gave him a purpose in life, and told him that they would meet again one day.
Not only they make peace as individuals, but the two divisions also made peace. I suspect, if they meet again, they will never fight each other again. They will be like brothers. And two divisions will also never fight each other, because their respective leaders have made peace.
Thing that I need to know like always is - is there stupid unnecessary misunderstandings and if there is how long…
Not sure if you have started. Just to let you know, there are many of us who have watched this drama many times. So we understand many things. If, while you watch and you encounter difficulties, like certain scenes, you just do not understand, please come back to this page. Just start a new post right at the top of this comments section. and post your question or questions. Do not need to come back to this portion, because in a day or so, there will be lots of comments and you might not be able to find your original comment
Hao Du and Shuyu look so much different, faces, clothing, expressions, behavior .... I am so confused, that I…
The long balled is a complex drama. Complex because the events here are intertwined with some historical facts. The female lead is a complex character. She was only about 15 years old in episode 1. If you did not read the manhua (comic), you will not know
That is why we are here. By now, many of us have read the comic. We can explain many things to you. And once you understand the historical context of this drama, the age of the female lead and a bit about her background, you will understand this drama better. And you will indeed enjoy it.

I feel sad that you dropped this drama at episode 33. This drama has only 49 episodes. Meaning if you had continue for another 16 episodes, you would have completed the entire drama, and things would been much clearer. By the end, many of the things that happened earlier, you would have understood.
And it is not even the case that everthing was kept mysterious until the last 2-3 episodes. They were revealed progressively all throughout the entire drama.
You said you watched this drama without having read the comic that this drama is based. I did the same as you. But, I took the trouble to read many comments here and I began to understand things a lot better.
Maybe you can do the same? Please be patient? Please do not give up??
Many people here have read the comic (it is called manhua, since it originates from China; comics that originate from Japan are called mangas). Everything and anything you do not understand, let me assure you, from Episode 1 right till Episode 49, we can slowly explain to you. All we ask of you is to be patient, so that we can explain

This is very true. I have come across people who said they could not dfferentiate the older guys, but this is also the first time I come across someone who said they cannot differntiate between HD and Shuyu.
Clothings different, facial expressions different, behaviours toward the female lead totally different.

Both of these actors are also singers, the one who acted as HD and the one who acted as Shuyu. But that is the way it is in China. Lots of actors are singers and lots of singers are also actors.
They have carry over fans, in that those who liked the actors as singers first, also bring this fondness over when their favourite singers turned actors.
You said you watched lots of Chinese dramas? Surely, if you take some time to know the background of the various actors, you would know this as well?? Don't even much time. Just click on their names in this page, you will know that they are about the same age, and they are both singers. So, yes, they tend to look alike in that they are both very handsome
But, their behaviours in this drama are totally different. Especially in the way they behaved towards the female lead.

Why was it that you could not differentiate between the two? HD was constantly after the female lead trying to capture her, because his stepfather wanted him to. Shuyu was different. Many time in the earlier episodes, you should have realised that he was in fact trying to save her. For instance, when he shot her, he deliberately shot her at her shoulder, instead of aiming at her heart, or other more critical parts of her body.
So, the very different ways they behaved toward the female lead would have immediately cued to to know that they are two different individuals. And the costume people also tried to help us. HD was always wearing darker clothes, and Shuyu lighter. HD would always carry his long sword with him all the time, and Shuyu would sometimes carry his sword but lots of time he would be walking around without a weapon.
Hao Du and Shuyu look alike??? Their personality is completed different too? She got shot by the shoulder most…
Alright, let me try to walk with you, and understand your viewpoint. You were wondering how many more kids they are going to snuff out. And earlier, you wanted a drama to be realistic. This is one aspect that the writers of the show tried to be realistic. This backdrop of this drama is war. War between the Tang Dynasty and the Ashile tribe. And in war, people die. Especially children. They were relatively defenseless. So in showing many children die, you could say the writers were trying to make this drama realistic. And that poor thief boy, he died of hunger. That too was rather realistic, as lots of young and old people of those times died of hunger due to war. They could not find enough food.
How did the death of the little fit into the storyline? It does. The death of the little boy caused deep change in the 2nd princess. She became more aware of what war can do to ordinary citizens. And made her very determined to be a better princess. And we can see this in later episodes when she would ask her father, the Tang Emperor to take care of the basic needs of ordinary citizens.
Everything in this show is extremely well written. If there are too many characters, that too is realistic. In life, there are indeed many characters. Dramas with very few characters, they try to simplify things. If you like things to be realistic, you should like this drama as well. because in real life, there are many characters that surround our lives. Our parents, our relatives, our boss, friends, etc..
What this drama needs from viewers is patience. Patience to see that everything happens for a reason. Unfortunately, you only watched till 33. If you had continued, you would have seen why so many things happened in the earlier episodes.
This is the kind of drama where everything is slowly revealed episode by episode. It is like a fine wine. You need to sip it slowly and appreciate its beauty. It is not a bottle of coke, to satisfy our immediate thirst.
I hated Sher for a good 20+ episodes. I couldn't stand him and I thought he would probably be one of the antagonists,…
I think in the case of Sheer, he was never really evil to begin with. Lots of the stuff he did at the beginning he did because he wanted to compete against AS. And then there are others who instigated him to do some of the bad things. But, toward the end, when he began to understand it was his own mother who had planned all those evil stuff, he realised his own true nature, that he did not really wanted to be part of it.
Just one example. He did not really wanted to hurt Changge. So, in E 44, when he found out that Changge had been captured by his mother, and the poison plan was conceived by his mother, and the rest wanted to save her, he helped Mimi and AS to locate Changge, and AS was able to rescue Changge
The more he found out about his mother, the more his true nature emerged, or the more he realised that he wanted no part of his mother's evil plan.
So, we can look at Sheer in two ways. Either he really did change from evil to good, or he was never evil to be begin with; he was merely duped into behaving the way he did in earlier episodes, and his true self began to emerge as he slowly found out about his mother's evil plan.
For those who felt that Dilraba did not show emotion well, particularly with regard to her crying scenes, here is what one source said, and I quote "Diliraba’s effort is already recognized by viewers who find her performance greatly detailed and her crying scenes to be “well-layered and immersive.”
Differences/Similarities between the manhua and the drama1. The Changge in the manhua was slightly 'sicker' than…
I have yet to reach that portion of the manhua. I just got past the part where the old Mr Qin told both AS and Mujin that Changge is a girl. The thing is, after he told them, AS needed to do some other stuff and did not really connect with CG till later. And I have yet to reach that point.
That Pusa arc where he told AS he could marry CG, I did read, because I jumped chapters and was really keen to see how the manhua ended
But she is very similar to the charactor alright. She is a celebrity. She does endorsement for products (so do the character she plays in YAMG).
We are forgiving. Many others are not
