I think a lot of the complaints are founded in the fact that Li Changge is so different from how people are used…
Her eyes are very expressive. I can't say it is the best among Chinese actresses, but certainly among the top ten. Zhao Liying and Yang Mi are exellent in using their eyes to do the talking in their dramas (particularly historical dramas)
And you said those are complaining likely have not read the drama? Very likely so. And if they are Lusi fans, hardly any reason for them to do so. Leyan is not even there.
I've watched reba interview about this it was the director who told her not to give too much expression becoz…
I will not ask again, but it is alway good when you want to say something that seem factual, you need to have all those links ready. Especially something like cut scenes. Most of us will see those scenes as well. Having those links ready will add to the credibility of what you said.
Maybe what you can do in future, everytime you see something interesting about them, quickly copy the link somewhere. Like cut and paste the link to your PC or mobile phone
I think a lot of the complaints are founded in the fact that Li Changge is so different from how people are used…
Exactly. The Changge in the manhua would rather shed blood than tears. She was trained from young to act more like a boy than a girl. So, if Reba did not cry so much in the drama, it is beacause she was merely acting in-character.
If we google the term 'emotional empression', we will see that we have six basic emotions: Anger, sadness, Fear, Disgust, Surprise, Joy.
You can see that Reba had to show all these emotions:
1. Anger, that Li Si Min killed her parents
2. Sadness, when A'Dou died, when the Gongsun couple died, when Mimi died
3. Fear, when AS was shot by the arrow
4. Disgust, this can be similar to anger or shock, which would be similar to the feeling she felt when she thought her beloved uncle killed both her parents
5. Suprise, when she found that AS had forgiven her for whatever role she played in his mother's death
6. Joy, when AS survived the arrow shot
Throughout the drama, she had to show all these emotions, and whenever she had to portray that particular emotion, she did it well
We do not even include affection, which some say is technically not an emotion.
Hence, beyond emotional expression, Reba had also to show affection through her body language when she hugged AS (where to place her hand and head, how to look at AS, etc)
There is also physical behaviour she need to exhibit that are not related to those, like horse riding skill, sword fighting, archery, even playing cuju ball. All of these must be believeable to viewers
I think she aced all of the above, which is why she was ranked so highly as an actor, when TLB was aired in China.
I hated Sher for a good 20+ episodes. I couldn't stand him and I thought he would probably be one of the antagonists,…
Yes, this drama really does that to many of us. Antagonists would later turned good. Sheer was not the only one. Even Du Ruhui also changed toward the end. And Hao Du also. Just about everyone experienced some sort of change. Except maybe for Lei Mong, and the Khatun
So, you are familiar with Eternal Love of Dream. There are no kissing scenes in this drama, because, very likely…
If there is indeed a kiss scene in this movie, it would mean Wu Lei has finally kissed goodbye to the no-kiss clause in his contract. Or, it could well mean that there was never such a clause to begin with, that he was merely uncomfortable doing it. Especially with Reba, who is older than him by many years .
Zhang Zi Feng is younger than him, and maybe he finally felt that it was ok to do kiss scenes.
We shall see. People who watch that show will surely come here and tell us if thers is any kiss scenes. Maybe not directly but via their international friends or Twitter page.
Differences/Similarities between the manhua and the drama1. The Changge in the manhua was slightly 'sicker' than…
It is the 1st episode. If it does not catch our attention, it will be rather difficult for some viewers to move on. I am told that the 1st episode of a drama series is usually the most watched episode among all the episodes.
Differences/Similarities between the manhua and the drama1. The Changge in the manhua was slightly 'sicker' than…
It was rather flat in the manhua. Even when he realised that CG was a girl, many other things took place, and they did not connect as fast as they did in the drama.
I think this is one aspect the screenwriters really want to bring across, knowing that drama viewers really do want to see more romance than what is in the manhua. So, they really did re-write this portion be rather different from that of the manhua
I noticed that as well. Who takes care of such stuff? The MDL has full time staff to take care of pics in MDL…
I know exactly what you are saying. I do understand where they are coming from. They have lots of pages to maintain. If they keep entertaining request after request, it will just add to their workload. And being volunteers, they have zero incentive to open a can of worm.
I've watched reba interview about this it was the director who told her not to give too much expression becoz…
You said something about the directed editing a lot of scenes because he was something in Ahsun's eyes. How did you know about this? Did the director mentioned about this in an interview? I am really keen to know. Will be so interesting to see these un-aired scenes
Excellent summary of the entire drama. Are you the kind who loves a nice healthy discussion, or are you the kind…
Yes! I fully agree with you on Sher Khan. He too experience change in this drama. Initially, he was deceived by his mother weak exterior, thinking all along she was just a harmless woman who was passed around from one Khan to another.
Later on in the drama, when Sher Khan found out that his mother, the Khatun, was actually the person who had killed all the previous Khans - including his biological father - and even poisoning the current Khan, he was completely a changed person.
From one who blindly believed his mother, he was even prepared to go against her by helping Changge to rescue Ashile Sun.
And I was very touched in that final scene in Episode 49, when Ashile Sun and Sher Khan restored their relationship. He would forgive Sher Khan for killing his mother. Both their battle divisions will not fight each other and they would go their separate ways in brotherly peace
Ditto for what you said about Hao Du and Li Si Min.
Even Lei Meng wasn't totally bad. He was just blinded by his immense loyalty to the Khatun and would anything she wishes. That is what 30 years of loyalty can do to a person.
And the Khatun, although she was the main villain this drama, there was still an ounce of goodness in her. When she knew that she would be defeated and had plan her own death, she made sure that Lei Meng would bring her son to safety. There was still that bit of mother's love in her. But eventually, her pride would lead her to her death.
Lots of us here would cry, should they give us Season 2. There is just so much more we want to see of Ashile Sun and Li Changge
I'm in a similar situation. I haven't started watching anything new because nothing is really interesting to me…
I have not read the novel, but Reba plays the role of a well known celebrity. A well known celebrity playing the role of a well know celebrity. Think about it. It will require big effort on her part to fail playing this role well.
And Yang Yang, who is the ML, plays the role of a gaming expert, something he did very well in Love 020.
It will take a massive unexplainable failure in both their parts to turn You are my Glory into a disaster.

But the Scarlet Heart one has no effect on me at all.
