Have you watched the previous dramas of Dilraba and Allen? If not, you should watch You are my glory and The Long…
Yes, I do not know when you were on the page of TLB, but when I was there, we were laughing at him, that he is just like a dog that barks a lot, but cannot bite. Each time he caught Li Changge, she will give some kind of reason why he cannot kill her. He will let her off; and after that, will go after her again. Almost like the two of them were playing 'catch me if you can'.
I do not know when you left that page, but I was there round about the end of its airing, and stayed on till YAMG was about to begin.
Have you watched the previous dramas of Dilraba and Allen? If not, you should watch You are my glory and The Long…
One and Only and Forever and Ever are connected. Most people would watch One and Only first, and then Forever and Ever. They know that the ending in One and Only is sad, and will quickly watch Forever and ever to heal their sadness.
I am not Allen's fan so I did not watch it. But, I am told that they are good dramas to watch.
I haven’t watched any raw episodes of part 2 yet. But this is alarming.
Also, I do not know if you are aware, but Dilraba deliberate lost weight to film those few espisodes, so that she will indeed look very thin and very sickly. All of us who are her fans totally appreciate her professionalism, in wanting to look the part.
I haven’t watched any raw episodes of part 2 yet. But this is alarming.
I did not feel bored at all. Maybe because I understood their dialogues? Every of their dialogues carries deep meaning of their love for each other, mixed with good humour.
And those 4 episodes, I was told that it made a lot of people in China cry, because JYH looked so sickly. They felt lots of pity, and it shows the power of her acting that she was able to act out those scenes with credibility.
Just as Allen was able to change from the innocent Changyi in earlier episodes, to the more domineering Changyi in later episodes, Reba did the opposite, from powerful, domineering, to weak and powerless, almost to the point of dying.
These 4 episodes also show the motivation of Ji Yunhe as a character, that she really treasures freedom, after first being held captive at the Wanhua Valley, and then at that prision at the mansion, and finally at the house. We can really see her joy, when she ran out into the snow.
Keep watching, because you only watched 4 episodes of part 2. Next 2 will be nice.
I've always liked some Chinese OSTs/songs but actually never like a whole Cdrama OST itself. TBW has the most…
That song is clear winner, and the post production people knew it and kept playing it over and over again. It is the most emotional of all the OSTs for TBW.
I haven’t watched any raw episodes of part 2 yet. But this is alarming.
Great! In that case, we have nothing to worry about. They were merely following the novel.
And I love E23-E28. They were full of expressions of love between Ji Yunhe and Changyi. And they showed the power of Reba's acting, how she really did look and behave very sickly.
That scene where she ran out in the snow, it is a gem!!
I haven’t watched any raw episodes of part 2 yet. But this is alarming.
Haha! That is where you are wrong. Mirror Twin Cities, yes, the director also has lots of experience. But, even before the drama was out, I already checked the background of the director. He did not have a single big hit!! All of the Xianxia dramas that he directed were very average performing. Not a single one is of the same calibre like director for TBW.
Just look the number of successful Xianxia hits for Zhu Yui Bin (director for TBW): Noble Aspirations 1 and 2, Ashes of Love, ELOD.
Not a single of the Xianxia dramas that Patrick Yau directed can match those hits produced by Zhu Yui Bin. Experience is one thing; competency or skill is another thing. Zhu has both experience and complete compentency to make great Xianxia dramas.
So, even before Mirror Twin Cities was out, I knew that if TBW were to compete against that drama, TBW will win.
And, I always thought that Director Zhu only worked with Dilraba three times (ELOD; TLB; TBW). I was wrong. It is four times, if you include Ban Shu Legend, it is 4 times! Back then, in 2015, when the Ban Shu Legend aired, Dilraba was a relative unknown and she only played a supporting role.
But, it shows how much trust this director has in Dilraba, to want to collaborate with her for 4 times! And also much trust Dilraba has in him. So, I think we should trust Director Zhu (or Chu, depending on how you want to spell his name).
I haven’t watched any raw episodes of part 2 yet. But this is alarming.
I just need to know, these episodes showing CY taking care of JYH, are they following the novel? If they are, I have no issue with it. It shows that the production team members know what they are doing.
I do not know why you said 10 episodes of CY taking care of JYH. So far, I counted only 6. And the next 2 episodes, it is already no longer about him taking care of her. There will be other developments.
I have no idea why you need to be worried. Honestly. We have a very experienced director who has directed so many…
It is totally ok to disagree. That is what opinions are for. We each have different opinions, and it is ok. You brought in ELOD, to illustrate your point that it was rushed. I watched it 2-3 times, and I did not feel rushed at all. And, on that page, people kept wanting certain cut scenes to be shown. I read their comments. I do not feel that those cut scenes were central to the plot.
Hence, here in TBW, it will be the same. There will be differences of opinion. So, you might feel that the ending is rushed, others may not.
In the final analysis, for the success of this drama, what is most important will be the viewers in China. If it is well received, we have nothing to worry about.
And when the Eng subs are out, international viewers will feel the same way as well. TLB did very well in China and it did very well internationally too. It will be the same for TBW.
Ep 29 when Chang Yi asks what he is in her heart...I'm just going to go in this corner to cry...
This is all part of the trope they are using, to make us feel this way. We can discuss more about this, when the subs are out and more people are ready for some serious discussion.
I have no idea why you need to be worried. Honestly. We have a very experienced director who has directed so many…
Eternal love of dream, all they edited out were a few scenes here and there. Those scenes were not all that critical. That drama did extremely well, so viewers were generally very happy about it. They just wanted to see more.
I have the seen the advance trailer for TBW. The ending for Part 2 looks good. Looks like they will follow the book.
I haven’t watched any raw episodes of part 2 yet. But this is alarming.
I have not read the novel, so I cannot comment on this.
But, if they are merely following the book, I do not feel bad about it. I have seen all those episodes in Part 2. I feel that they need to show them, to show the development of the relationship between JYH and Changyi. We need to see this in order to know how deeply they both love each other and are willing to make immense sacrifices for each other.
Question does the story of the secondary characters also continue on Part 2 or they having their ending on part…
Continue but less extensive. And their stories are always linked to the main couple. Main couple's story remained the central focus and they have the most screen time in Part 2.
Part 1 is a little bit draggy, it take 14 episodes for them to leave the valley. Part 1 should have ended when…
I have no idea why you need to be worried. Honestly. We have a very experienced director who has directed so many bit hits for historical dramas. He shot all the scenes that he needed for TBW to tell the story. They always knew they were going to split the entire series into 2. So, if they had needed more shots, they would have shot those scenes and there will no problem with the censors, as far as episode limits go, since we are way below the limit (combined is just 42, when upper limit is 60, when split into 2).
I have watched all the episodes in Part 2, and do not feel that any of those scenes were redundant. They were needed to tell the story.
You found them!! Thank you. I think I am going to treat myself :D
The piece that Reba wore, the one shown in twitter, yah, it seems not to be in their catalogue. Could be a new product that they are promoting. That poster looks pretty official, so it does look like it is the Feofinland or FEO brand she was wearing. I could be wrong.

If not, you should watch You are my glory and The Long Ballad (for Dilraba).
And One and Only and Forever and Ever (for Allen's dramas).
They are last year's dramas and they are really good.
And I love E23-E28. They were full of expressions of love between Ji Yunhe and Changyi. And they showed the power of Reba's acting, how she really did look and behave very sickly.

To watch it raw now, your Mandarin/Chinese must be really good.

If you have read the novel, you need to stay very very cool. This is a drama adaptation, so they do not need to follow the novel to the T.
I have watched all the episodes in Part 2, and do not feel that any of those scenes were redundant. They were needed to tell the story.
