I started on 'Love at Night' just to have a taste of his acting and that of Zhang Yu Xi. It was not a bad drama at all! Not sure if you are a hardcore Dilraba fan, but I am. So, after You Are My Glory, every modern Cdrama become hard to match up.

But, I am say, Liu Xue Yi and Zhang Yu Xi are both very decent actors. While waiting for Dilraba's new drama to air, to pass time, I will usually go watch some of their dramas.

Yes, Kong Ming does seem to be around quite a bit in Part 2 of TBW. Not sure if that would be enough for Liu Xue Yi, as, after L&R he has gone on to play lead roles in some dramas. I suspect those are small budget dramas. Playing Lin Hao Qin might have been attractive to him.

If you look closely, Reba wears lots of different earings throughout this drama. Some of those earings are big enough to hold pearls. Whether Mikimoto pearls are set in them, not quite sure.

Viewers in China might know. It is possible that names of advertisers could be placed in the ending credits of each episode. Or, Mikimoto boutiques in China may even display small posters of her wearing their pearls in TBW, if indeed she did wear their products.

Yes, he is 29, and HYX is 27. An ideal match in real life. His facial make up made him look much older than his real age, which is a credit to the make up team. Yah, it does look like they do want to choose someone whom they can easily make up to be in line with the novel, someone who will 'look' older.

Liu Xue Yi is actually older in real life (31). But he does have a more boyish look. And Kong Ming is such a minor supporting role TBW, I doubt he would even want to do it.

I just checked. The actor who acts as Kong Ming is only two years older than HYX, actress for Luo Luo. Not sure why he looks so much older. Maybe it is the hairstyle or maybe they deliberately asked him to act older, in order to be in line with the novel.

How old is he supposed to be, in the novel? Luo luo's age?

If it has mikimoto pearls, it will not be cheap. The masses will not be able to afford. Only the richer Chinese in China. Perhaps the ones she wears do not have expensive pearls. Just ornamental stuff.

He matches Luo luo better, in terms of age. The present one looks like her uncle.

Dilraba is an ambassador for Mikimoto, a premium pearl brand from Japan. Not sure if those earrings have Mikimoto pearls in them. If there is, I am sure they will be selling very well in China.

One of the charms of watching a historical Cdramas is to look at those amazing costumes and hairstyles. Long after TBW is done airing, we will still remember some of the costumes they wear and the hairstyles used by the cast members.

As Reba and Allen are the leads, theirs will be most important. But, other cast members' too, are important.

Some people did not like Reba's hairstyle in E1. Said it looks like a bird's nest. Thankfully, that hairstyle was not used for a long time, just a few minutes in E1. I think many of her subsequent ones were great. And her Aji's hairstyle will be very memorable.

That sword, if it is specially commisstion by all the producers, will be another revenue stream for them. It should be selling like hot cakes in China right now.
