I think because this was a short series and I pretty much binged watched it, it was ok. I agree with others that nearly all the characters became unbearable. A lot could have been solved with communication between the 2 leads but I guess then there wouldn’t be a show to watch. Not a complete waste of time. I don’t usual watch Chinese BL’s but this was my 2nd in a row. Deep in was better though.
What happened to Chinese censorship of the past? Have they finally relaxed on gay scene?. I wasn’t expected it to be so passionate, I am definitely not complaining.
This series was even better than I expected. The main actors were amazing. Hard to believe they were that good at their ages and their first work by the look of it.
The way the writers and directors decided to show this series as technically 2 in 1 was genius. Usually when characters are actors making a show you always see the camera, light and sound people. The way this was presented was like watching the series they were filming as a complete separate series. Only when cut is called do you then come back to the reality of them being actors.
I am really impressed with this Chinese BL. I hope more follow this depth.
Just completed this today. I enjoyed the majority of it however I do feel like the second half got extremely confusing and could have done with some more answers. Like someone else pointed out the whole drama with the evil nephew kind of got “sorted out” in 2-3 minutes. Considering that was the major storyline, it felt like they forgot about it and then quickly finished that off.
Also the explanation of her soul, time swap thing was too confusing to really grasp what they were saying happened. What happened to the other soul. Also the grandma said at one point “who are you” but later we are meant to believe it was her all along. Maybe it’s just me that didn’t understand that.
I didn’t find the chemistry between the leads very convincing even though I enjoyed the FL’s acting.
It was ok. I’ve definitely finished way worse series. Just needed a little more detail.
I’m currently only up to episode 5 and still enjoying it. Hopefully it doesn’t go downhill too much based of reviews.
I have one gripe I can’t ignore though. Seriously that eye mask is just as bad a disguise as Clark Kent with glasses on lol. She seriously can’t tell it’s him with 3/4 of his face showing and both eyes. Along with his distinct voice. Anyway I will continue. Maybe there will be an explanation why she doesn’t recognise him.
I regret my decision to start this today when it doesn’t finish until next week. Already binged the first 4 episodes. I don’t know why I do this to myself. Waiting for Knot to end feels like an eternity too. Anyway 4 episodes in and I’m loving it so far.
Guess this isn’t for me. Got to the end of episode 4 but just it wasn’t holding my interest. Shame because the rating was pretty good. Perhaps just not in the right mood and so many dramas to pick from.
Wow people weren’t wrong about their chemistry. I don’t usually believe the hype but they deserve it. So sad it doesn’t look like they’ll be pairing up again.
Both actors were amazing in their roles. This was my first series of Pond. My god that boy can act. As his character and also as an actor in this.
Perfect length so it didn’t drag out. Only real gripes were as good as the song was, perhaps a variety would have been nice. It did remind me of the type of songs from I told The Sunset about you (was nice to reminisce about that one) but it definitely got repetitive.
Last annoyance, apparently Armin magically heals from gun shot wounds lol. Bit of an oversight there.
First BL I have really enjoyed in a while. Their kissing and chemistry is above all the steamier BL’s out there. Glad I found this little Gem.

As someone who truly loved the first adaption of this it’s hard not to compare.
The chemistry from A around trip to love was next level. Even their music videos make me feel so much. The love and the pain.
Whilst I appreciate this drama had more time to progress the story at a slower pace. It didn’t leave me with the same feels as the original.
For people who can’t handle SA then this series won’t be for you, but I will say this was tame compared to ARTTL. To me this hinted to it without really showing it. I mean YC was even kissing him during some of it.
As I haven’t read the novel I am confused by some of the changes to the story for the original. YC was still married with a kid, and in this he didn’t have one. Also the ending was different for obvious reasons. ARTTL didn’t end properly at all. I’d be interested to know if in the novel LF had a mental illness?
Perhaps it’s because the OG actors left such a strong impression on me I don’t think anyone couldn’t really match them.
But for people who haven’t seen the other version then perhaps they would like it more.
After watching this I will now go back to watch ARTTL so see if this series helped fill in some gaps.
I feel this series could have been 20 episodes shorter. I don’t usually watch Cdramas. The male and female leads always have the same dynamic (the ones I’ve watched anyway)

But there was too much of the same happening in every episode which is why I think it should have been shorter. Between episode 25-30 I just wanted it over. Glad I watched it. Just was a bit repetitive.

I can’t put my finger in it. I do like it when I’m watching it and I like the characters but it’s going fairly slow for a 12 episode series.
Do I push on with it? Is the second half any more exciting than the first?
I have others I want to start but I think if I do I won’t come back to this.
