My hypothesis is that now she will shift to a more political and aggressive strategy. Perhaps she will try to interfere directly in state affairs, seeking an alliance with Liu Yan. I imagine this could involve Bianzhou (which would directly affect Wei Yan) and Yanzhou (linked to the Qiao family), which would inevitably bring Bi Zhi and Ah Fan into the center of the conflict, possibly leading to a war.
These are just speculations since I haven’t read the novel, so I’m not exactly sure what will happen next.
Wei Shao shows a deep sense of filial piety toward his family and toward Su E Huang, especially because of his late brother’s final request. This sense of duty is deeply rooted in his mind and shapes many of his actions. What’s interesting, however, is that while Wei Shao senses something is off about Su E Huang, he can’t quite pinpoint what it is — or, as I like to think, he doesn’t fully understand what her true intentions are. The way he looks at her and the way he speaks to her reveal a certain level of distrust. Still, it’s possible that his strong filial devotion is clouding his ability to act with more clarity and decisiveness in this situation.
The dynamic between Wei Shao and Wei Yan is truly beautiful. Even after the revelation of Wei Yan’s feelings, I believe Shao would still treat him the same way. There’s a genuine sense of respect and affection between them. The scene where they argue and end up fighting was particularly intense — their performances were powerful and full of raw emotion.
1. I LOVED Manman's interrogation with Su and Huang HAHAHA. Lady Wei really showed what she’s made of — sharp elegance, combining class and firmness in perfect harmony!
2. The interaction between Wei Shao and Qiao Ci was absolutely beautiful. So subtle... Even with few words, it was clear how much care and respect Wei Shao showed, especially when he gave Qiao Ci the spear that belonged to his late brother. Such a symbolic and touching gesture.
3. The funniest scene for me was definitely Wei Shao trying to explain himself to Manman about not going to the tavern HAHAHA. His face! I adored that moment.
1. The scene with drunk Manman was absolutely adorable! 🥺 She showed so many emotional layers in that vulnerable moment… Seeing her cry and trying to explain herself to Wei Shao was just precious. And that kiss scene? Pure cuteness! Dream or not 👀, I LOVED every little microexpression from Wei Shao — it was everything!
2. And Liu Yan’s meltdown? OMG, what was that?! 😱 I did NOT see those scenes coming. He completely lost it! The coldness with which he killed his own father and stepmother was chilling. That said, the signs were there, he always came off as emotionally detached from those around him in the earlier episodes… but I never imagined he'd go that far.
3. And as for Su E Hang… honestly, no surprise there. She’s a total snake. 🐍 So manipulative, always putting on a virtuous, innocent front while scheming in the shadows. I seriously cannot wait to see Wei Shao’s reaction when he finally uncovers the truth.
