I like how their romance is being built gradually. It would feel inconsistent to me if Wei Shao simply gave in to his feelings immediately. He carries wounds β€” feelings of loss, pain, a sense of family duty and a deep-rooted thirst for revenge. All of this is so ingrained in him that it’s natural to see him hesitate. The fact that he appears confused, torn between what he feels and what he thinks he should do, makes a lot of sense. For him, love is practically an internal battlefield. Besides that, it’s beautiful to see that Manman understands him and knows he needs time to accept what he feels.
