ahhhh with the last episode so far they really surprised me with master lee! I was fully ready to believe that he was an immortal mountain sage or something, this completely turns the trope on its head!
this show excels by giving it's strong fl character a dark side, instead of making her just a perfect fighter she has personality! a need for self preserverence! wants and desires outside of the ml! the main characters chemistry is that much better because the fl is an actually well written character
personally can't get past the family drama focus of this show. the cinematography is lovely, the acting is believable, but family drama is not one of the sub genres I enjoy.
according to this baidu article, this show was originally supposed to film in april 2020. The production company is Shenzhen Zhonghui Film and Television Culture Communication. It's based on a novel by 缪娟 . Haven't heard any news about it since.
the joke in the first episode that all STEM majors dress the same had me rolling!! that was true at least in my university (though it wasn't plad lolol) XD
