//episode 3 Is sun ling (the guy who does the ending recaps) zhulong?? I know he's probably not but I love seeing characters who pretend to be dumb to avoid suspicion . I'm enjoying the guessing game so far!
My notes from the first episode: Series so far is about the war between Shu and Wei kingdoms. The main characters are the spies and soldiers on each side of the war. In this episode the Shu lose territory due to bad intelligence. Chen Gong is working as an assistant in the wei army, but he is actually the spy Baidi for the Shu. Xun Xu is another spy for the Shu sent to investigate Chen Gong. Who is Zhulong, the main spy for the wei kingdom?
The first episode does a good job at showing the audience what it's like to be a person without powers in this world. Normally in these xuanhuan stories everyone has powers and is gung ho on getting to the top. It's interesting to see just how devastating the fights between magic users are to ordinary people.
(the story makes no sense, the dubbing is horrible, the acting is sub-par, the cgi is bad, the writing and dialogue have no flow, but I can appreciate the concept lol)
I get why everyone is bashing this, but also, it's a very fun movie as long as you don't take it seriously. The dubbing is terrible, but the acting behind it is good! idk why the director chose to keep so many close up shots of dylan smirking tho lmaoo.
after watching this close to 3 years ago now, the thing I remember is the ending. cause damn it's good. this show drags about 2/3 of the way through and I considered dropping it, but the last episode has such a powerful message I'm so glad I finished it (thinking about rewatching the last act...)
the show is really good so far though!
