Fwiw I am enjoying the new ‘Light On’ series crime/mystery TELL NO ONE on my local iQIYI.

According to MDL DETAILS above ⬆️ this drama is available on iQIYI.
I am NOT finding HEROES (2024) available on iQIYI.
HEROES (2020) IS available there.

Seeing that JOL2 is now on Viki US’s “Coming Soon” list made my day. JOL2 caused me to experience a severe case of availability angst.

That is unfortunate news for US viewers. 😢

Lovely miniseries. One of the best sports kdramas I have watched. Well done Lee Jong-won and the entire cast.

Sorry to say but I jumped ship during episode 12. I really liked Yu He Wei and Bai Yu Fan but I didn’t think I could take almost 30 more episodes of Zhou Lin’s harping about acquiring wealth.

Can anyone identify the historical novel on which this drama will be based?

As of now Viki US is not listing KBS’s Dare to Love as coming soon. I hope this drama is licensed by Viki US.

I joked that this drama originally started out as the Korean remake of the great Jdrama on Netflix: House of Ninjas but was transformed into the drama we will be getting.

I love seeing that Netflix logo up there.

I have watched and enjoyed the first six episodes and very broadly I get a Misaeng: Incomplete Life (2014) feel for City of the City. Instead of international trading we are in the world of banking/finance. Bai Yu Fan ( so good as the young constable in Ripe Town (2023)) here takes on the roll of bank employee newbie something akin to the role Siwan had in Misaeng. Yu He Wei (terrific as as the detective trying to unravel the mystery in the sci-fi Three-Body (2023)) take on the roll of senior bank executive that is something akin to the role Lee Sung-min had in Misaeng. Just a feeling I have. I hope there is enough material for 40 episodes. One issue I see is with banking/financial terminology. Anyway early days in the drama and I am glad I found it.

Thanks for the link. The article says “all episodes released simultaneously”. I can’t find out how many episodes this drama will have. The title must be a play on the ML’s character’s name: Go Gun.

Poker is an unusual setting for a drama so I will definitely check it out.
Because South Korea has rather stringent gambling regulations I will be interested in learning how poker fits in.
