Watching Again

I agree about their apartment. That's what I thought when I first saw it. That's a place with an awesome view next to the water.

As for why Tang Xin & Yang Yang are close friends , it's because their dads & families are super close. They probably grew up together.

As for Yang Yang's character, I don't know why they made her so extreme and unlikeable. It's so ridiculous and unbelievable at times. Her storyline brings my mood down so much.

After 2 light and cheerful episodes yesterday, today the mood changed a little. They seem to focus on Yang Yang's storyline for these episodes. I understand her concerns and challenges but her story definitely brought the mood down. At the end of episode 18, they continue to focus on showing that it's not easy to be the wife of a soldier. She will have to make sacrifices. Her husband is very sweet and tries his best when he's there. Unfortunately he can't be there all the time.

Yeah, she wanted him to ask that question and kept hinting at it but when he asked in a military way it reminded her of her own conflicting thoughts about being with a soldier so she couldn't get the words out right away. He knew how she felt about him so he's giving her time.

I like this confession scene because she's being herself and is honest with her feelings. Because she thought he couldn't hear her, if gave her courage to spill what's in her heart.

It's hard for people to express their true feelings so I'm glad he heard the truth that way.

Episode 15 & 16 are the best episodes so far. It's enjoyable to watch. It's light, funny & cute.

This scene in episode 15 is so funny and cute.

I think this drama is paying tribute to the marines and is meant to paint a certain picture. It's airing during a special time in China too. I don't think Chinese people feel the need to bash it. They might feel something while watching but were showing respect by keeping it to themselves. It's a cultural thing.

Many people told me they avoid professional dramas because of unnecessary stress caused by knowing too much. :)

Yeah we can kind of guess what happened to her and her journey to grow into someone more likeable. It's so unfortunate that they made her character so immature in addition to other not flattering qualities.

My reply to you is almost the same as the post below :) Since I just wrote a long reply, just read that ok.

When you watch a drama and find something that bothers you, it will become a bigger problem if they don't address the problem.

Unfortunately, I feel that the character Yang Yang is not going to get much better. But there are other characters in the drama. Don't let one character brings you down.

These are valid complaints and the writing is not very strong. I'm still enjoying the chemistry and try not to nit pick everything but there are some glaring problems.

The portrayal of 2FL's character is so bad. I feel bad for the actress playing Yang Yang. She's getting all the hate and blame now but they made her an easy target.

ML will always save FL, that's the way it goes in these type of dramas. She will tell him: Thanks for always saving me when I needed most. And they'll probably get together afterwards. I expected these scenes so I'm not surprised.

Anyway, all of the characters are always so extreme, it's so unbelievable at times. If we try to find problems then the list goes on and on but despite all the problems it's still an easy watch. I still enjoy the chemistry and the soundtrack. It's still better than some other dramas that's out now. Maybe it's the timing. I just want to watch something different so this filled the gap.

But I understand your feelings and frustrations. If your timing is not right, it'll be harder to put up with these annoyances.

Sometimes when watching dramas, we have to put away the critical eyes half of the time otherwise it'll be too difficult to finish. I have a long list of dramas where I just stopped halfway and just didn't care to continue too. It can happen. Just do whatever makes you happy.

I mean alone without her husband. Well, I don't know the details yet but I hope they'll make her character more reasonable in the future.

Yeah. She'll be pregnant and alone. They lost their baby. Afterwards she was determined to be a doctor to help other moms with their babies.

I think they're overdoing it with her character. I get it. She's a spoiled princess but they went out of their way to make her character so unbelievable. I hope this won't continue. I hope they'll dial it down a bit, this much exaggeration is not believable.

I used to be into all of these actors but now I watch dramas based on the story too. If I can't get into it then I just move on no matter how much I like the cast. There are so many choices so I would rather watch better dramas.

Yes, I like the club you posted. It's a refreshing change from the flower boys type. It depends on the type of dramas, but strong, manly actors definitely bring their charms.
