I'm halfway through this, thanks to @nimwoo. I did not expect this to be so lol funny. Kim Hee Sun's husband is hilarious, as is Kim Yong Gun as her father-in-law. My belly hurts whenever KYG is on screen - what a sly scene-stealer. After seeing Kim Sun Ah in Children of Nobody, it is so refreshing seeing her do comedy here.
This list is hilarious! I only know about half the actors on this list but yeah, with the exception of Kim Tae Hee (Hi Bye Mama), Kim Sun Ah (Children of Nobody), and Park Shi Yeon (Innocent Man), I agree that they are not attractive. Kim Sun Ah is a decent actor.
This was a great drama, but maybe SLIGHTLY overrated? It did indeed get draggy after a while and I felt it easily…
Yes, you diagnosed the flatness perfectly for me. What did you think of the Nam Gyu Ri character, her acting? I think she's so beautiful, but her acting seems wooden. She was also the weak link in Heartless City. I know her character was supposed to damaged, but she sounded like a robot.
I'm going to sound super shallow for saying this, but Jung Yi Seo didn't really bring much to the drama, plus she was too short. In a family where the women are tall, willowy and frankly gorgeous, the actor and the character just seemed ... slight. I wonder what the thinking was when they cast her. (And I'm short myself!)
Yes. But I have a feeling the lawyer could care less if his wife has an affair. It just makes it easier for him…
You're right. It's criminal how SPY has not bothered to call her mom or arrange for her daughter to visit while she gets massages and home-cooked meals from her viper MIL. As others have said, SPY is vain, smug and clueless. (And so is BHR, but BHR has spirit and grit.)
Seeing SPY's castle come tumbling down is what keeps me watching.
Yes, all three husbands fell into the affairs randomly. Doctor's hobby - horseback riding - has been a convenient…
Yes, this is probably not his first affair, but the one that lasted longer than expected. Perhaps as their daughter grew older and began to accompany her parents to everything, he started to crave alone time or his wife spent less attention on him. I wonder when he has time to work and network like everyone else.
This was my first K drama. One and a half years later, CLOY still stands out for its zany, genre-bending plot and NK setting as well as the raft of lovable side characters (in both NK and SK). I think there are superior dramas out there, but CLOY worked its magic on me.
Checked off all the boxes for me: is it different from everything else I've seen? Did I love at least two of the characters? Can I remember the OST? Did I laugh AND cry? Would I watch it again? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!
Ep. 2 - This series must surely be going for some sort of award for worst drama. The first episode was bad but…
sorry, your profile indicated you're a woman, so I was thrown off by your comment about being a father (though I agree that the professor is a douchebag for abandoning his kids).
Many things about this drama are infuriating, but it's picking up steam, ratings are climbing and this particular message board is very active, so the writer is doing something right!
Also have to respectfully disagree with you about Mouse. It was disturbing and certainly not for everyone but I didn't think it was awful. Secret Garden - now that's awful.
Since I have nothing to watch, I’ve been watching the “classics” and this was on my list. I don’t think…
I try to watch the "classics" too, and I just haven't found any that have stood the test of time. Boys over Flowers, Dream High, My Girl, this one ... I couldn't get past more than a couple of episodes. Will try again with Coffee Prince.
