What did hisoo mean when she spoke to the detective in the end of the ep?
I think if she has amnesia she can claim not to be of sound mind. So she can cover for anyone else.

If people didn't cheat, steal, kill or lie, there would be no dramas to spin and watch, would there?

just wow ... i am speechless . just be happy with ur explanation ... a cheater is a cheater and a bitch is a bitch
I'm not justifying cheating, but it happens. This is not the only drama where extramarital affairs are a plot line. There are zillions of illegitimate sons and heirs in K dramaland, but I have never seen this level of vitriol against those mistresses.

This drama specifically explores the ramifications on three marriages (four, if you count the lawyer's parents). Relationships are complicated organisms. Why don't you wait until the series ends before reserving judgment?

You're basically praising victim blaming... what the hell...
I'm not justifying Sa Pi Young's husband. Each of the three men had their own reasons for cheating. The doctor seems to have an emotional void stemming from his mother.

Somehow, his marriage isn't meeting his emotional needs. So he had an emotional affair with his stepmother and a physical affair with Ah Mi. I don't think he's right to do so - and in fact, I think he's a psychopath. Controlling and jealous. At least the other men feel torn or guilty. The doctor is a psychiatrist, for heaven's sake.

She refused the apartment that his parents were willing to buy her off with. She makes a decent living and has a good life. What evidence is there that she wants more?

I’ll admit I wasn’t sold on Mine early on. In fact some of these episodes I outright disliked. The supporting…
I couldn’t get past the first episode of Law School but I agree that Mine is turning out to be a taut thriller with lots of emotional depth, far superior to Graceful Friends. That show was marred by the needless secrets and misunderstandings that dragged on for decades, whereas here, people are refreshingly honest and mostly say what they mean.

The scenes with Ha Joon and with Susie made me cry. Even HJY’s loneliness and shitty childhood.

Intriguing hypothesis! Perhaps it’s an Agatha Christie situation - all of the people who hated HJY had a hand in killing, faking, covering up…perhaps even Sister Emma was part of the conspiracy.
Can we talk about the overacting? Like Kim So Yeon? I've heard that the actor is friendly and down to earth, nothing like the Cheon Seo Jin character. I enjoyed seeing her in Two Weeks. However, good acting to me is not glaring eyeballs and screeching. Uhm Ki Joon has the same facial expression for every situation. Come on. We can expect more from the actors and still enjoy camp.

Yes, sadly. There are lots of people on this forum and in Korea who don't get it and don't see the need to understand why people are upset. I wonder if Lotte still makes Ghana chocolate, for example.
Then again, racism runs strong in the US, despite the Obama terms and BLM and the horrific slaughters of Black men and women and $ millions spent on diversity and equity training. Which explains Trump and the anti-vaxxers and the Q-anon crowd.

Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In are the highlight in this drama.
Yes, they’re both hot. And funny and moving. But Yoochun was decent too.

Put this on as background while I hand sew and I must say, DAAAANG the OST is ON POINT
Yes, I probably infected my computer with a virus but I had to download the OST and WinRAR to open it because thr OST somehow disappeared from Spotify. I loved the opening track especially - so sparkly and soaring.

Why is that fact of note?
In real life, he’s been in and out of jail for drugs, sued for sexual assault,, and otherwise throwing away his artistic legacy down the toilet. It’s so sad, since he was utterly believable as the upright scholar.

He was also decent in Rooftop Prince. What a loss of talent.

it's crazy how much better this drama got in the second half
Yes! My impression of the first half was that it was wealth/privilege porn. Lots of screeching, slapping, couture dresses for just hanging out at home, priceless china being destroyed, people speaking English for no reason ...

But it has gotten much juicier and tauter in the second half. The OST sets the pace and the mood. Loving this a lot more than Love, Marriage and Divorce, another glitzy show about privileged people who don't seem to have a lot to live for.

i literally went WTF when he appeared... is this becoming a supernatural series or sumn HAHAHA
Maybe we'll see the revenge/retribution that we were all hoping for after S1. I'm excited to see what will happen to the stepmother.
I may be voicing an unpopular opinion here, but I think the producer Sa Pi Young is insufferable in her clueless privilege. She could have been more interesting as a self-made woman and traumatized child of divorce, but she's become a cipher excessively concerned about propriety, wifely duties (except for the most important one, sex!) and raising her daughter to become her mini-Me. What happened to her sex drive? The intellectual curiosity that producers should have for their work? What happened to her problematic relationship with her mother? The only thing she gets excited about is nice handbags and clothes.

Not excusing her husband, the doctor, but I can see why he'd be bored with the marriage. However, hitting on his stepmother and stringing along the vacuous Ah Mi (another empty vessel) is beyond the pale. He is clearly the worst person here; not sure why people are hating on Pan Sa Hun, who is at least sincere in what he wants, if a little immature. His mistress was not intending to get pregnant - it was a miracle that has forced them to renegotiate their relationship. They were soulmates who slept together once. Worse things have happened.

It's kind of the same vibe but I still believe flower of evil is better tho
I agree. Mouse was like a sprawling empire that went off the rails at times, but still very powerful. Flower of Evil was lean and taut and very affecting. Powerful acting in both.

I like the ML but i'm scared to watch because of Suzy Bae. Does she ruin the drama with her acting?
Lol. I dropped Dream High because I couldn’t stand Suzy. I totally get you.
