I love the romance! They are just so sweet together. Tbh, the more c-dramas I watch, the more I appreciate this romance. Even with little time, it’s sweet, deep, and heartfelt, a joy to watch their little moments. And I’m absolutely crazy for the scene in which Zyz endures unbearable pain while imagining a simple, normal life with Wx. That is one of the most meaningful and romantic scenes I’ve ever seen, so heartbreaking. I also love that throughout the series, Zyz is always there, putting an arm out to protect Wx from danger and wind, showing his care for her in all the drama.
I even love the bromance a lot. I'm ok with Zyz🧡Wx, Zyz🧡Zyc and Zyz🧡Zyc/Wx. These relationships are all so beautifully handled that I adore them.

She even forgot that the two of them were friends, and in order to help her preserve the balance, ZY was forced to confront his former friend to help the Goddess imprison him. This was meant as a way to save LL, giving him time to heal, as he would have died from the wound caused by the Ever-Burning Fire, and only his birthplace (the prison itself) could have healed him, while also giving him time to reflect on his mistakes.
However, the moment they confronted him, LL attacked the Goddess. So when he was sealed away after the battle with ZY, LL felt betrayed by him, both because he was imprisoned and because ZY did not share his ill intent toward humans, choosing instead to protect both races by protecting the balance.
Because of this, LL developed resentment toward ZY. In truth, even before their separation, it was clear that LL disliked, and even envied, the interest and fairness ZY showed toward humans, as Li Lun favored demons and considered humans inferior.
After being imprisoned and left alone with his negative feelings, his jealousy and anger toward ZY only grew stronger, especially when he later saw the close bond ZYZ built with his companion. From this, LL’s strong hatred and desire to kill ZYZ.

Only to watch memory seems too easy. I think she will time-travel, not with her physical body bc we already know that she kill herself as a princess and the story can’t possibly end there. But she will be reborn (backward through time), with the mirror that let her remember her different life, or if censored, it could be (present)consciousness transmigration in the new body, with the mirror as a medium. And she will live her three lives in parallel, but in reverse compared to HY three lives.
Most likely, her third life will be his first one. So she will know everything about him, while he won’t even know who she is,just like what’s happening now for Hy. If it really works like this, who knows who she will love at that point, the human or Hy? She will finally have her answer about who he truly loves, since she’ll be in the same situation.

But since we know that XY meets him in all of those lives, it suggests that she is the one moving backward through time (non-linear time).
This really reminds me of Doctor Who, the 10th/11th Doctors and their relationship with River Song. Their timelines run in parallel but in opposite directions, when she remembers him more, he remembers her less, and vice versa. Tragic, even without the xianxia elements. 😭
