In all the truth when it was airing and i saw the poster, it looked too messy for me so i thought it was a low budget drama and i always ignored it. Only later, i checked on ian2 and i read that Neo was in the cast so i jumped right in. And now I am obsessed with it! 🥰

I dont remember to be so obsessed with a drama and a character since Lotus Casebook and LiLinhua.

On my 3rd rewach.
The drama isn't perfect but the quality is undeniably hight.
Expecially with Neo Hou as ZYZ. He worked hard to refine his actor skills and the result is visible. He is a perfect casting choice.
Can't stop waching his amazing performance. Not many actor would have been capable of playing with such talent a character so interesting and complicated like ZYZ.
Happy to see him using his actor skills at theyr best in a drama where they shine!

Neo is always so full of energy. He is so busy, never take a break, have to do all by himself, but in all his video expecially of ian2 and in Tibet performance he is the one that shine the most with all that energy. It amaze me.

This comments section seems to not have changed at all from 2y ago when the drama ended.

After the cameramens stumbled on Neo they also got stuck, he had to shout to make them notice.
Fei's actor that was dancing right behind Neo even stopped and give him a light pat on his back. Then both of them get back to dance.

Notice the bright smile at 0.55 and the deeply hurt and confused expression at 1.02 for the useless and provocative comment of the director.
Something was obviously wrong , even for me that didnt know anything about what was happening there. Strange that they made this pubblic knowing now how thinghs were back then.

I understood it later,thx. So sad that a good director cant be a good professionist nor a good person.

Anyhow, I was still reading. But i undestood who GJM was when you talked of the dancing scene.
I saw the bts of that. A cameramen stumbled on Neo Hou while dancing and they didnt even stop, so he had to continue to dance.
After that Neo was all smiles, the most beautifull, and sincere smile i have ever seen from him, on screen and off.
He looked so happy and exited, probably becouse he was satisfied with the results of his dance despise the interruption.
But the director says " Your movements are not like the others.Your movementemts are right but not like the others....."
Now.... i asked myself what kind of constructive criticism was this. It was obvious a provocative statement.
He clearly knows how to dance, it is obvious to even me that didnt even know what an SM trainee is. He moves better than anyone. And from what we see in the few seconds of screen he had there, Neo dance on the water was in perfect sink with the others.
They surely did not dance again seeing that they didnt stop when Neo was interrupted so.....
I, that didnt even know what was going on there, have noticed that something was wrong.
The disappointed and hurt expression that Neo made when the director says that stupidity was heartbreaking. His best smile ruined into a sec, and that really hurt me more than his performance on screen, maybe becouse that cruel attitude toward him had no reason to exist.

I admit that i kinda strugle to undestand all these implication in the chinese tv industry, but it is clear that they mistreated an artist with great skills.
He is hardworking, has a good personality, he can sing, he is a top dancer and now with his diligence he refined his acting skill reaching the perfection.
He become a perfect actor. It can be seen with his interpretation of character like Weng Ye and ZYZ. The nuances of those characters and the way he played them were superlative.
How can they use such a great actor as a stepping stone for newbie?
Or how can a professionist bully another professionist?
It is irrational. From a monetary point of view but also from an objective point of view, of those who have expertise in the sector.
Not to make THIS talent shine is a waste and unfair.
I hope Neo Huo's hard work will be recognized and rewarded. He deserves it.

She freed the demons because she needed a diversion.
It was noble to want to save innocent demons, it was stupid to freed everyone indiscriminatly and not thinking that real killer were among them. But she didnt care(selfish) or trought(hence stupid) about that or about what would have happened after the use she needed them for. A lot people died because of her stupidity and selfishness and no consequence for her, of course.

Then....you cant be serius by saying that in THIS case his love for her wasnt clear without an explicit confession, otherwise the opposite should be true too.
Ml too didnt knows fl loved him in the hut, right? How could he? She only risked her live (like he did for her) BUT she NEVER told him that she loved him before that moment, right?🤣🤣🤣That is just ridiculous and too stupid.

About the 900y...you are wrong. He wasnt only punished once, my dear.
To his direct punishment(for saving her) you must also add that ml was in coma for those 900+y because he pushed his (stonghest of all) immortal body to his limits(and this say a lot) to punish himself when his heart and mind where already at its limits.
The 2 of them punished themself for 900+y(but as you say ml was already punised, so +1 for him) and still, it was the ml that despise his terrible condition find the strenght not only to miracoulosly weaking up but he also saved the fl(again) and then he brought the terrible burden of theyr feelings all alone. One big sacrifice can't justifie 50+ eps of indifference, not caring and totally coldrness toward the ml expecially considering the intensity of his feelings (for the whole 50+eps) and that he make so many more big sacrifice than her for her.

Anyway, I dont see any miscommunication about his love for her. In the human realm he explicitly! confess it to her, again and again. And even with his memories, in the heaven realm, he continued to say that he want to be togheter, despise all the problems, and she still..... cold....
More clear than this, i dont know what else he can do....

I had(and have) my doubt about HER of love for him.
She do too little for him, and only when he can die(and sometime it is because of her too).
She completly lack any interest or care for him! In any way and for the whole drama!
She doesnt even care to know the big things he did for her. While the ml treat like gold every little and insignificant things she did (not even do for him).
She is just too indifferent to his suffering and pain to be his lover.

Anyway, about some part you should rewach the drama. Ml knew from the start that it was the fl the woman from the hut. Her lies just complicate thinghs for him.And in the mess that the 2 sis created, he still tried to not hurt fl twin sister to not hurt her.

Then, when she was framed she, not even for a moment, trought on what difficult position she was forcing the ml to take.
The whole world and everything he hold dear until then, or her. (In truth he was saving her with his decision but she will never know.. or care to know)
Anyway, he was broken and she didnt care, or noticed it.
(While ml saw fl pain when she lied about the hut despise his insistence,
He also undestood that she wanted to protect the sis, so he let that slid even if it hurt him a lot to heard her lie again and again about those moments)

Then, when fl jump, despise ml sense of duty he could not bear to let her go, and got hurt in her place to save her.
While she was with her eyes closed the whole time.....she didnt see him suffering in her place, she didnt see him got hurt because of her, she didnt see him saving her. Because she confortably closed her eyes..... in all that caos.... she didnt even take a peak....mah....
And of course, once at the bottom, she never cared to ask(or at least think!) what terrible consequences would have expected ml because he saved her! (if she love him, how could she not care?.....)

He was costantly worried for her(life and feelings) while she never give him a trought. :/
(and it will be like this for the whole drama!!!)

In mortal realm when she regain her memory she become ice cold and cruel to him that was madly in love with her, and he didnt undestand what was happening but still he was ready to do anything for her, that instead, completly ignore him.

Ml never decided to live for himself.
The complete opposite.
He give up everything.
EVERYTHING!
To live only to love her!!!(putting her in the 1st place like she wanted from the start!!!)
40+ eps where he desperatly repeats that to the fl, again and again and again (even after he regain his memory) but she never cared for him or about what he said or do for her.
She thought only of herself and her life (she explicitly say this a couple of time) and continued to treat ml poorly, with indifference and witouth care for his feeling. (and she really! never care or suffer for him because we never see her cry or suffer alone like instead the ml do for her.... Repetly.)

She continue to denie him and his feelings even in the heavenly realm when the ml did the impossible (and exactly what she wanted from the start), to be with her and she still coldly refuse him witout reason!
40+eps of this!!!
And, literally, only in the last episode she got togheter with him.
But, after 40+eps of desperate plea from the ml that is (for no reason) so madly in love with her, and her, not caring at all about ml feelings, desperation and action....it is really hard to be happy for them being togheter.

She cared for ml life to the point of sacrifing hers but she treated him too poorly, too coldly and in a too indifferent and not caring way to belive that she love him even 1/1.000.000 of what ml feel for her instead.

She really doesnt deserve him after the way she treated him. She really never suffered or care for him! We never see her have any secret reaction toward the ml feelings but we see the ml suffer and tormenting himself alone a lot!!!(and only because of her!)
Her lack of empaty and her indifference toward the man she said to love are the most disappointing and annoying part to wach.
So even if the last episode was amazing and i am happy that ml finally has his HE, i am not satisfied that someone as annoying, cruel, selfish,cold and self -centered as this fl has a HE too. :/

Bro, if you wached the show you should really know what i means with self-centered.
After the hut, she never care, have any interest or try to undestand in any way the ml for 50+ eps. So yes, she give her heart(and live) to him because she say to love him, but she never cared for him(aside from him being alive or dead)for ALL the show. :/
To consider this behaviour self-centered is still a very kind way to call her.
Expecially if compared to the selfless ml that always know everything about her, help her in any way possible and impossible, always thinks of her and her feelings alone.

Of course, i only refer to drama fl, I didnt read the novel.
I only read them when i really like the story and want to know every version of it, but this wasnt the case.
Anyway, novel characterization are better in many case so i belive you when you said that fl is better in the novel.

My original source is the drama. And i liked that version of the story, ending included.
I dont know the donghua or the novel 's story, so there is no need for me to make comparison. I just wanted to know what was this show about.
