I'm very suprised of all the positiv comments... For me it was too overdramatic and dragging. I really got annoyed watching it, so dropped it after ep 2...
It's not a must watch, but it was entertaining. I liked the acting, especially Rowoon, he was fun to watch. I also liked the FL & ML characters, both had their strengths and weaknesses. It would have been great to see more romance between them, then just the awkward kiss... All the female characters showed different kind of strength, which might be the point of the drama.
MIGHT BE A SPOILER: The whole two - timing/ cheating didn't sit well with me. ML should have been honest early on (or at least that's what I would have done/ would my partner to do for me). So, I don't really cheer for the main couple. Also the FL should have been honest with 2 ML. He is obviously hitting on her (which is totally understandable, since she is the one who confessed), but she is treating him like plan b, which I dislike.
Only reason why I am reconsidering to continue, is because I have read that the main couple has great chemistry.
It's a drama which if you start overanalyzing, you will just ruin it for yourself. It's a romcom with a lot of cute & funny moments, great acting, chemistry, pace, etc. The time travelling is used as just a tool, not the main part of the story. The main part of the story is the romance. So, lay back and enjoy the show for what it is 😁
I'm really disappointed by this drama. The first few eps weren't bad (leaving out the "logic" mistakes), but afterwards it was needlessly stretched out, could have been a better 8 or 12 ep series. The ml acting wasn't good, the fl could have been better and their chemistry was not there. I really tried to like the couple, but couldn't... 6.5/10
Despite the other comments, I like this season as well. I really like the frenemies relationship between the Crown…
The FL had a definite downgrade. In the S1 she was my favourite character, cute, wicked and very expressive. In the S2 the FL had similarities, but wasn't similar enough to be the same person as in S1. Tbh I was waiting for the "the dog that bites" expression (I'm not sure how exactly Jang Uk called it, but he mentioned it a few times), but we never got to see it in S2... Maybe a more experienced actress might have done a better job... It's also a pity we don't see her fighting 😔
Some are complaining that he should have fallen in love only after knowing that she is Naksu and I strongly disagree. I love that both end up falling in love with each other for the second time, the circumstances are totally different, but they fall in love nevertheless, isn't that true love? For the FL it was love at first sight in S2 and Jang Uk opened up his heart little by little.
I liked how Soi kind of mirrored Seo Yul, going against their character and willing to sacrifice themselves for their unrequited love, kind of bittersweet.
I would have loved to see more maturity in Dang Gu and Cho Yeon after the 3 years, I especially hoped for Cho Yeon to stand up against her mother to protect her sister, wasted potential...
Despite the other comments, I like this season as well. I really like the frenemies relationship between the Crown Prince and Jang Uk, so cute and fun to watch. And my favourite character in this season are the Crown Prince and Seo Yul, that poor boy keeps on suffering... The first season is better, but this is worth watching and gives a good closure.
So....you didnt like this show, but did like the rape show? Ok.
Well, as someone who reads yaoi for years, I kinda learned to ignore those rape scenes... There aren't that many mangas that didn't have rape / sexual assault or addressed them correctly (at least that used to be the case in the past)
typical korean drama nowdays....lack in giving a great ending.
I wouldn't say that in general. This ending was kind of necessary due to today's (Korean) society. I mean they could have killed the queen, but that would have been too unnecessary and forced.
An unusual ending that I love is from 2521. Great story, great characters and sad but good ending.
Technically a happy ending, but it was not the ending that I wanted to see.I completely lost interest 20 minutes…
I totally understand you, but I think the public isn't ready for the other ending, esp for a mainstream drama like this... So I'm glad they showed in the last episode that the king misses the mr queen, I think that's the most they could do...
the premise is unique but sorry the story line is full of missunderstanding at first, something that can be solve…
I understand your point, but that isn't the approach the writer was aiming for. It isn't really about whether he is gay or not or transgender or not. If they would have focused on that or tried to do so, the whole mood would have been different and might have ruined the show. They rather took a light hearted approach regarding the swap, to avoid unnecessary drama, which I appreciate a lot.
lol I can tell just from the reviews and comments that I would hate this series. Cotton-candy trees, teddy bears…
It's neither stupid nor boring. It's a very wholesome story about the first love / relationship of 2 highschoolers. It has great characters, superb acting, on point comedy and is relatable. The story is very cute and innocent, but not cheesy or annoying at all. Even though they don't even have a kissing scene, it doesn't feel like the story is lacking anything. So, if you are only into mature stories and don't want to give innocent/pure stories a chance, this won't be sth for you. I'm someone who usually needs good kissing scene, but here I didn't miss that at all.
It's bromance for me! It reminded me of Ling Yao and Greed from Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. From enemies to sworn brothers! 100/100 for the bromance. LDW was good, as expected, but I was seriously surprised by WHJ. I only saw him act as serious characters, but here he was pretty goofy and did a very good job. I think he stole everyone's heart here. With no doubt my fav character of this show. My second fav character wouldbe the mother! She is sooo loving and caring, definitely one of the best moms. And the relationship between her and soo yeol was sooo touching. The relationship between soo yell and the doctor was hilarious, I enjoyed their scenes a lot.
But aside from these points, the series was pretty average, if not below. The crime part was too predictable, they could have tried to make the villains less obvious. And the romance was sooo out of place, it would have been much better, if they were (best) friends, frenemies or remained exes.
Overall it was a fun, bromance focused and crime related series. If you are looking for a Good cop/crime story, this isn't for you. This is more meant to be as a fun series.
