Yes to all! It was maddening. I was shouting insults for good 5 minutes at my TV. Cause wtf were they thinking?! You don't develop a strong character through 24 eps just to throw a stinking OOC bomb ten minutes before the end!!! But you know c-dramaland endings... I decided to just let it go.

Also think that last villain was unnecessary. Finale with song cai would've been much better.
Still, I enjoyed it until 10mins before the end, so I'm pretty happy overall. Though I'll probably end up dropping my rating after I have more time to think;)

A-hao died because he was too impatient/impulsive:( With that message about sacrifice, it felt a little like they wanted to pay tribute to real young policemen like him or sth. Btw saw a lot of Chinese fans saying that Liao and Yu boss could be the final big bad… so be prepared it may not be the last of the police that got corrupted;D

Yeah, I'm a bit apprehensive. I hope they don't don't rush the ending. I want proper emotional closure.

Lol true, I think they overdid it a little on the twists and turns with those two. I mean when I watch the show everything seems pretty tigthly linked and controlled. But then when you take a step back, it's more like a cubist painting... it's hard to tell what shape they were supposed to be...

Right? I could've sworn they were setting him up for the final showdown at first. Tbh he seemed more complex and interesting to me than the hamburger guy.

Didn't you guys find it weird that Song Cai who's been amassing a private army and preparing to deal with Cai Zhiming for 5 years got taken out this easily?
I don't know, I feel like they gave so much screen time to his story, that his exit was too abrupt.

Can't believe they forgot about Long ge when they were searching for the girl - he's always in Xiang's business smh. Plus his big purchases should've been easy enough to trace, I think.

This I agree with:) Still believe in that particular situation it made sense for him to keep a cool head - too many armed hostile parties + getting to hold her in his arms + knowing Liao and FL are in the shadows to call the ambulance.

Did you really expect him to start losing his shit in the middle of that standoff? He's not just a father, but a highly-trained, committed operative who's survived years working undercover with trigger-happy psychos. I agree the acting could've been more layered, but he's been consistently poker faced since the start. I like that it makes him look a bit narcissistic, which is a common trait in people who do this type of work. Plus with his experience he might've been able to tell how serious it was.

I like her. She's got skills, smarts and agency. But true, she's not the one driving the plot. In this set-up a lot of key events just happen away from her.

Finally caught up to ep12 and wow the plot just went a twisted version of chess where they all try to provoke each other's next moves. Fun!
Gotta say whoever sourced the locations did a great job. Loved that shipyard.
One of these days I have to write an appreciation post for Long ge's stylist. Cause…lol.
Btw in ep11 when they talk in the car about the dinner with our fav psycho, Liao says he changed his mind about the drugs after the banquet. The subs should read the Hongmen banquet which is like a Chinese version of Red Wedding;) I anticipate a lot of sparks between Liao and Long ge in the future:))
