Yes, very good choice:) He's very expressive. I usually end up watching him even if he's not the one speaking, cause it just seems like every thought shows on his face. I have much more difficulty reading ZZS and tuning in to his emotions. Not sure if it's the actor or they planned ZZS to be this unreadable...

So after 12 episodes I figured out what I like about Gong Jun's portrayal of WKX... The crazy, flirty, self-confident parts make him fun to watch. But it's the rare glimpses of vulnerability, when something someone says hits home or he worries, that make me go all softhearted... Sigh, his vulnerable eyes are my cryptonite;)

Yeah, maybe I'll skip a bit forward. At least now I know to avoid the harem thing in the future:)

That's probably because Mandarin is a second language for a lot of people. I only lived in the South of China, so was used to not understanding anyone on the streets. Got such a shock when I first went to Beijing and could eavesdrop on people:D

Well, I like the premise that they are both more mature, accomplished fighters with colourful backgrounds;) and a lot of mystery going around. There is a LOT of clever bantering between the main pair with some truly hilarious comments. I find their interactions delightfully charged but if it's not your thing, you can totally disregard it and treat it as them trying to outsmart each other. I also like that the unraveling of the mysteries goes slowly enough to keep me guessing who's good and bad, who works for whom, etc. I got completely hooked after only 2 episodes so maybe try and see for yourself.

Really?! Hope there's more of that later on;) It does seem like they had fun shooting these scenes. Maybe that's why it turned out so so good:)

美吗？完美 ?! WKX cracks me up:D So I just planned to check out one episode... Now I'm starting 3rd and can't believe how funny the dialogues are and the delivery. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun starting a series...

I just put it on hold after ep. 10 or 11 where the main pair talks in her room. I really like the political intrigue here and the humour, but the whole „love at first sight” trope is unbearably cringy. I mean the guy remembers life in 21 century, and the girl behaves like an overgrown child, I'd need to suspend my disbelief a lot to get behind this romance. Plus, he's acting all full of himself which I also find a little off-putting. I think I need a break. Can someone recommend good dramas with strong, clever FL?
