Review Rain or Shine Spoiler
I stan your review!! I watched it when aired and I was dying waiting to know if he would survive at the end! But...I think it's something I can rewatch only if I am psychologically ready because I cried liters of tears.

First of all your analysis is really great! You really dug deep into psychology of every character and cinematography! I really appreciate your efforts! It'also quite beautiful how you displayed it nicely in this article ❤ but unfortunately I didin' like it so much...as many of the drama I saw they start great and then go downhill somewhere in the middle, and I'm really sad about it, because I really wanted to like it. You wrote this is kinda of a game of thrones and yes, I was reminded of it too but there were too much unbelievable situations that made it a bit laughable ( for example Wang Shik makeover. His nose is completely different, how can someone become that in a month without surgery? Or as you pointed out Yu Ra scars...or even the first attempted murder of Sunny...why at the ceremony, in front of everyone? Isn't that a dumb move? Better get rid of her quietly...)
Generally I had a confused feeling about this drama, for what concerns the characters, the plot and their motives. I think i this isn't a story that can be written day by day, it has to be decided well beforehand, possibly doing researches and taking inspiration from real things - in got there are many references of middle age real wars and characters! - and, if you want to kill off people, you need more characters, you can't play chess with three pawns then killing them off and "oh they're alive". In game of thrones there are plenty of characters, so they're easily disposable for the sake of the plot twist.
I don't think I have a favourite character xD The emperor was weak, even tho he had charisma (it was ironic since he's the emperor and he should be the most powerful man. I've really appreciated the irony there), I think the ending really gave him a closure, there's no redemption for him - even tho he didn't kill his wife and the blood thing wasn't his fault/decision he was so broken and twisted that the only other option was a life in a mental institute, and Wang shik was cute at moments but idk if it's because he hadn't much screentime or development, he didn't grow on me.
The character I hated the most was the dowager queen. She was just flat evil, like a cartoon character.
But I loved how complete and complex some of the characters were, especially the emperor, Sunny and YuRa. YuRa's backstory made me soften a bit towards her, and I kinda root for her to reunite with his lover after they shown him alive.
The triangle was useless, Sunny didn't have anymore feeling left for the emperor (and I would have been very mad if they would've pull that s.it out because nope. He tried to kill her twice and her family too.) so there was nothing to root for. Also bipolar much this emperor...I didn't find any cuteness in him chasing Sunny because I never forgot his previous actions and to me he seemed out of character.

Well said! I actually tend to avoid, if possible, drama with this kind of character, moreover if is the ml the obsessive one (the ones who seem to ditch their jobs in order to stalk the girl, throw jealousy tantrum when they're not entitled to - because the girl doesn't love him at this stage of the story, not to talk when they force themselves into the girl with unwanted kisses or hugss, the infamous wrist grabbing, cornering and other caveman moves I personally despise a lot) because I think that's not a solid ground to build a relationship. Talking about the second female leads I don't really understand how a person could be so persistent when she was rejected and stood up so many times. It's humiliating and annoying (also, usually the obsessive girl is a rich spoiled brat who accuse the poor female lead to be gold digger, while the two main reasons of her obsession are money and handsomeness. Hypocrite much.)

At first she had a long term crush on the emperor, but he uses her as
An alibi and well, he also try to kill her twice, so after the moment she discovers the truth she won't have anymore feelings for him. It seems to start developing a feeling between her and nam shik but it's not really cooked, he had not that much screentime to be honest and their ship never sail xD

Title The Last Empress Spoiler
Can Anyone tell me! To Whom Oh Sunny end up with?
Last ep airing today if I remember right but the actor who plays the guard won't be in the last eps so probably not him but also I don't hope her to ends up with the king after all the things he's done..I kinda dropped it because it felt draggy at some point but you won't really get a feeling of who's the ml since start. Maybe everyone will die at the end? If you're planning to watch it for the ship only, don't bother...there few cute scenes but most of the drama is people plotting stuff

What the fork I just watched???!
First of all, Tae was such bidimensional character and so annoying that I think this is the perfect ending for her. Let that attempt of a male human continue to cheat on her, like hell I would like to see such violent girl marry someone like Jun. All that talking about roles and animal was confused and sick, I get they had ideals for marriage but what's the point if they don't really love each other and they can't be themselves? (I won't buy romance from them...it's just absurd) and no, this isn't realistic at all. Why would a normal person forgive him cheating 5 times without even bothering apologize??? He lied, not giving a fuck about it and she still pursued him because he's rich and beautiful. A match made in heaven, I already pity the child. Plus, wtf with buying Jun again? With the man'a money because she's now realized her sloppy dream -_- feels like being teleported in the 20s. This drama hurt my pride as a woman, sorry.

To me just Boyle and Terry are a no. It's just those two characters don't really fit kdrama world, so finding the actors who can portray them is difficult. I like this fancast idea tho, I think some shows like riverdale or idk Sabrina would fit more this kind of format :)

To be honest I liked it. The only thing I disliked about this that the grandma died . I loved her.
In dramaland there's no grandparent who can be safe. ???????? Old people who are caring and sweet especially. Rip to all that great halmoni and arabeoji out there ????????????????????

Honestly, I can't think of a reason of why they liked each other......
Same here...I don't even understand what's the point in writing down stuff like when and how many people your rejected or personal considerations about your teacher in the first place. Also the glasses thing....wtf

Real romance. Gets even a little bit steamy sometimes ^-^
Can I ask at what ep they resolve it? I want to watch it but I kinda hate when they drag misunderstandings (and also real gender xD) for too long

Person Im Soo Hyang
Ironic, true, but who hasn't these days? Almost all celebrity women have the eye widening surgery and the same…
Wtf....Is that allowed? O.o they adjust their children's face by their standards? What if when adult he/she doesn't like it? Aren't there some psychological tests before agreeing to get something done?!

I noticed that too lol if you've studied abroad then you are "more" than everyone who stayed in Korea...it's like they're looking down on their own educational institutions o.o
