I'm rewatching yet again. It is amazing the good feeling this series brings me. When Seung Jo's parents ask Ha Ni's father to move them back in with them and then hand back all the money Ha Ni's father had given them was such a show of love the tears just start to fall. This shows gentle heart and expression of love is beyond heartwarming. I wish so much I could live in her world or that our world could be so beautiful and kind.
My son of on 14 was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer - brain tumor. When I found out why Hyeri broke down at the awards my heart broke learning of your leukemia. I hope is going well. You are now in my prayers as it is well documented how much I love Reply 1988. I unequivocally believe Reply 1988 is the greatest drama ever - regardless of country - and you were a part of it. I'm in the US and imported the series on DVD to hopefully cherish forever. Thank you so much.
What started as such a gentle, warm movie just ended a bit unsatisying. I think they could have just given a bit more to the discovery of each other and definitely the exhilaration of reuniting could have made this a treasure to behold in the viewers hearts forever. However, as it is, it will simply be a very good movie. Han Hyo Joo is so breathtakingly beautiful. She was adoreable when they first met and their time in the parking hut. It is a very good movie and I recommend it...still I wish we could have been more witness to the joy of rediscovering each other. It certainly seems like a lost opportunity.
I'm a guy. It's the lead actresses that command my eyes and move my heart, but Lee Sang Yoon definitely won my heart over in Angel Eyes. His Dong Joo loved unrelentingly. The whole world could be against him, and often felt like it was, but he kept loving So Wan through all adversity. He is the one few leads in that role to win my heart. That is the kind of man I want to be. He was exceptional. I have yet to pursue any other of his series, but that will change.
I'm coming into watching this after seeing the drama...and I'm already crying. The mere thought of what that sweet girl has ahead of hear is tearing my heart up. I'm already expecting this to pale somewhat to the series, but the story was so powerful I alwanted to see the movie as well regardless.
Here I go...Eyes full already...heavy heart...this poor sweet young lady. You see my 14 year old son has cancer, - brain tumor. Having tragedy hit your own sweet child makes this story even more heartbreaking.
Something tells me they are all going to be charming in their own way and inintend to give them all a shot if I can find them, but 'A Boy Who Went to Heaven' leads my interest here.
I'm just finishing episode 28 and it was by far the most lackluster, flabby episode. Constant expository fluff. Redundant. There have been so many flashback repeats of something just said moments before - lol. Maybe something was going on with production or writing, but it was so noticeable I decided to write this. No worries, I'm sure it will tighten back up. I never skip ahead ever, but I know many who do. You likely would be safe to pass through this episode.
i am watching Six Flying Dragons now and was crushed Gil Tae Mi died so soon!! I was really upset! I guess for you it wouldn't matter cause you would get to see his most glorious death in under 20 episodes.
For me, I have to break between sagueks. I have too. It goes beyond seeing so many dressed in Joseon clothing. It is the length and commitment. I, like many, have to binge and life feels put on hold, but yet I LOVE them!! Empress Ki stopped after 7!!! The horror!!! If you want an enjoyable semi saguek/supernatural thatvis shorter try Gu Family Book. I really enjoyed that one. The Moon Embracing the Sun is 20 to 25, I can't remember excellent too.
Well I'm going to get back to Six Flying Dragons...work, bills etc are on hold after all...a man has got to have priorities!!
I absolutely can't believe Park Hyeok Kwon did not win an award for his portrayal of Gil Tae Mi/Gil Seon Mi. Hyeok Kwon is by far the most captivating and enjoyable character to the series thus far. He's awesome. Tae Mi's death was one of the saddest bad guy deaths I've ever or in a great long time remember. I hated seeing him go down.
