OK, that was a great first episode, but it was too short and it went by too fast!! 😩😩 I guess when it rains, it pours since we’ll have another episode tomorrow with the Friday BL deluge!! 😳😳 🌧️
Kim Dongwon is doing so well here as his mean boss. He truly feels like a different person. His last line had me cracking up. Poor Jaeyoon came looking for his sunshine boy and met a thundercloud instead.
I must say Jio got pretty into that kiss for someone who already has a guy waiting in the wings!
I watched the first ~8 episodes I think? before I fell asleep (because it came out at 3am my time). It's slightly better quality than a standard vertical, but still has a small amount of cringe, since theyre packing everything into 60 eps. I liked what I watched and I plan on finishing it later.
They get right into it from the start🔥, and it follows the source material really accurately, just adjusted for speed.
What was that ending?! First, Chen Hai Wei, best boyfriend ever. He believes in He Xiang Yong so much (without even knowing why mind you) that he went to the ocean for his man to essentially find a needle in a haystack. If I didn’t love him before that sure enough did it. If he is not okay in the last episode I’m going to be destroyed.
And Li Wan Zhe and Aomi finally sealing the deal?! This show knows how to give us an NC scene. This second couple is everything I’ve ever needed in a second CP. Even though they don’t have the same amount of screen time as the first couple their story is still being done justice.
I am NOT ready for this show to be over with. The team behind this drama did their big one and I’m going to need them to work on another show ASAP. I have not been kept on the edge of my seat like this in a BL in a long time. Just when I think there can’t be anymore plot twists they hit us with another one. I don’t know if I should prepare myself for heartbreak next week or what. I don’t even know how this HEA is going to look and that’s both good and bad for my mental. This is easily one of my top 12 favorite BL’s this year.
I'm laughing so hard at Tiger's brother having a brother complex about his little bro. at least when I'm not thinking about the heavier part of their family drama.
I was thinking Nao took Tiger's family revelation way too chill so I'm guessing he knows about his own gang connections. I'm kind of wondering if that will be Tiger's exit ticket out his own family's drama into the college.
I am so excited for this show! Hoping the production value is high, but I think so seeing the teaser was. Looooove the mature look of Pooh! Three series ( Pit Babe 1-2 and Goddess) with the same boring hair style was more than enough.😅 I think he’ll have long hair as his other persona
This show is quickly becoming one of my favorite BLs of all time (or at least amongst this wave of releases lately). I love when a good-old friends-(frenimies?)-to-lovers done right and this show so far has been perfection! The flashbacks beautifully add to the depth of their friendship (not to mention their younger self are amazingly well casted) and makes the yearning looks from Ryo go straight into my heart ❤️
The actors' chemistry is literally burning through the screen and I honestly don't want this show to end 😭
Normally I dislike the over feminisation of one of the sides of the couple (I don’t mean in terms of gender expression, I mean like calling them sister-in-law / mama / wife when they’ve made no indication that they identify any other way than male) however, here it feels completely natural and right. It genuinely makes sense for In to be using such terms of endearment with Erng. I can’t quite put my finger on the difference. Maybe it’s because the feminising of him goes along with the cutsie little image he wants. Erng WANTS to be seen as a damsel in distress. In the bit with the missing subtitles (if my Thai is correct) In promised to protect Erng if he lets him have him. However, they are still actually equals in the relationship, In is ready to play whatever role makes Erng comfortable both in the bedroom and out. I think that’s a newer dynamic we are seeing in shows and I like this inclusion.
I also really enjoy the dialogue and banter between them, although it’s a bit over the top, it feels quite real.
I’m not entirely sure what they’re doing with the post director card scenes though, both episode 2 & 3 they felt quite hastily put together
Episode 1 is a good start. Viewers who didin't read the synopsis and go in blind might mistakenly believe this was a documentary until later. ✨ The only thing that 'breaks the immersion', I guess, is that the actors are both too good-looking hahaha
There's also an overlaying feeling of contrivance despite the documentary purportedly striving for authenticity... which again makes sense when Kasuga later admits at the end of the ep that he and Hasegawa have been lying about still being lovers during the 100 days they've been filmed.
This is like waiting for the axe to fall... 😩Oy! Anyhoo, Ho Yen Kai who plays Xiao He has one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen. And he looks like he walked straight out of a yaoi manga. If I was a portraitist you can bet I'd be painting him.
When Oranges Fall... I love, LOVE, L.O.V.E. ittt all!!!
I love the micro-affections - the gift bags of oranges, the way Ko Neung leans on Ko Song whenever they're out on the bike, the open invite to eat with the family, the tincan telephone - and all of the little jealousies that keep on popping up.
I'm at the stage where I don't even need a real plot. I could watch Boss Ko's gang and grin nonstop for hours, to be honest. 😁
One of my absolute favorite KBLs, TMS2 more than the first only because of the emotions involved in s2. I love their character dynamics and the story they go through.
Finally, an episode in this series where the uncut version is actually worth it (the YT version cuts out the love scene, obviously). Speaking of the love scene, once again the thrust is a must. It was hardly the best one I've ever seen, I could've done without the fake sound effects and it was too short but it was still worth the wait.
This episode got me really emotional actually..🥺 I loved that we saw more of Pete's past and also more development between him and Niran. It's just so precious that they are there for each other..✨ And Pete is such a cutie pie. The last scene of him trying to make Niran feel better, like he did with him in the first episode, was so heart-warming..💖💖💖 I just find their dynamic amazing. It really is the heart and the soul of the series..😌
Now, I do wonder why Fei is so loyal to the prime minister.. She said that he makes her stronger, but what does that mean exactly? And even though he is not the one summoning the demon, everything started from this man's actions. Like, I kinda get Sira's perspective if I'm honest..😅
Can't wait for this one. Park Eun-bin knocked it out of the park with Wonderfools so I am really excited to see her in another fantasy. It's an exciting year for fantasy fans with so many great romantasies with great actors. 🥳👻
Another one I'm looking forward to, a romance with SIG. They are really knocking out some amazing Kdramas this year, I have high hopes. Better get my Prime membership back.
